Remembering foods you can’t eat now

For me I don’t do any pasta or bread. They are heavy and swell up in the stomach. Plus, Those are not worth it to me. I’d rather save those calories and carbs for something else. Honestly I don’t miss them really. Pasta was never a big deal to me but bread was. I loved bread. I’m use to not eating it.
  2. Must have this recipe!! Looks so good!! You are quite the chef!! If your food tastes as great as it looks....Maybe you should be one! Bc it looks amazing!

  4. I agree. Those women are not your real, true friends. I’m very sorry this has been your experience. Honestly if they are like this then they prob weren’t a very good friend before but maybe it wasn’t realized until now. I’m sorry you deserve to be congratulated on your success and cheered on. Continue to keep up the good work and if you need friends and kind words of encouragement there are plenty here on this forum that will be here for you! Keep your head up! Great job!!

    Virtual Consults?

I did some local consults and also one that was 4 hours away. I drove to that consult. For me, I wanted an in person consult. Now I went with the one who is 4 hours away so I do have to drive back and forth for the appt but I’d rather go the distance for the best. Good luck to you on your journey!! So exciting!!

    Need Help (Puree Stage)

I didn’t think oatmeal was part of the purée stage. Maybe soups blended up. Oatmeal is heavy.
  11. Absolutely! Come on down!!😊
  12. We are at freezing here in Texas so I made Chicken Tortilla Soup! Warmed the soul!! Added a small dollop of sour cream, three small slices of avocado, sprinkled a little Monterey Jack Cheese. Delish!! No afters....💛
  13. @ms.sss so I bought this to try. Taste wasn’t bad. It’s the texture. The texture really bothered me. But I’m surprised the taste wasn’t bad like I thought it was going to be.

    Tummy Tuck

Everyone has a diff timeline on when they want to get theirs done. For me, I wanted to reach my goal weight and then keep that same weight (maintain) for a solid year. I did that and then some. I was sleeved in July 2018 and just had PS in Jan 2021. For me it was getting it off, keeping it off. I knew if I could do that then my treat to myself would be plastics. Like I said everyone has diff time lines. This is what I set for myself even before I was sleeved so I stuck to the plan. For me it worked and I’m very happy. Good luck to you and what you decide. Keep us updated!!
  15. I didn’t tell people at work initially at work but eventually did tell people. Especially bc I lost 100 pounds. That makes it pretty obvious I did something. But for me I didn’t mind. I did tell family and friends right away. I don’t think it’s anything to be ashamed of but I understand the hesitation. To each her/his own. If you don’t want to then don’t. It’s no ones business except yours to share or not.

    Cool Sculpting

I’m with gradycat. If it were that permanent and easy everyone would do that instead of surgery. Like she said it’s just my opinion. Look up reviews on it. I personally went the surgical route and am very happy w that. I wish you success with which ever route you choose to take
  17. Wow what a spread!! Looks so good!!
  18. Looks great!! Yummmmmm Filet is my all time fav cut of steak! It’s like butter when you cut it.
  19. Valentines dinner. Filet w of course green beans! Hub made homemade Mac and cheese. I ate two noodles-super good! Made w goude cheese On my plate I ate mainly the filet and a couple green beans.
  20. Hello, my sleeve was in July 2018. This rule I follow. If by chance you get something stuck and need a small sip but I do t divert from what they told me. A large part of success if listening to the rules they set up for you to be successful. There are reasons for all of it. I was a HUGE drink w a meal person before sleeve surgery. It was an adjustment to get use to it but now I don’t even think about the fact that I don’t drink during a meal. You will get used to it. What do they say “21 days makes a habit “ I wish you well!
  21. Did they tell you to not sleep on your stomach? I know every Dr is diff but mine didn’t say I had to sleep a certain way at any point and I was fine. (I had the sleeve) so if that’s any help to you. If you are worried call your surgeon and ask if it’s ok that you slept on your stomach. I’m sure they can guide you and dos and donts Good luck to you and congrats to the start of your weight loss journey
  22. What is that sprinkled on top? (Hey @ms.sss I bought a cottage cheese w fruit cup. One strawberry and on pineapple) based on seeing your salad the other day. Not sure if I’ll like cottage cheese but I’m going to try!!!
