  1. I guess I had just the opposite of what I hear a lot here on the boards. I had GERD pre-sleeve, but ever since the operation, it's gone away.
  2. You might be able to sell the bras online on eBay or Poshmark. Congrats on your new surgery. How are you doing? Why doesn't the boyfriend want to have relations with you yet? Scars? Sore? Pain?
  3. It's a very exciting time when you're in those final stages. Best of luck to you on your weight loss journey.
  4. Welcome and good luck on your weight loss journey.
  5. Generally, for most insurance companies who require it, it is six consecutive months and if you miss a visit in a month, you start all over again.
  6. I'd like to have plastics, but I can't afford them, so I'm just going to live with my wrinkled saggy skin.
  7. I'm glad it worked for you, just be careful introducing foods too quickly. Your stomach is still healing and there's a reason for the liquid and soft food stages.
  8. I never did broth. I lived on protein shakes, sugar-free jello, sugar-free pudding, and sugar-free popsicles.
  9. I don't know what to do other than ride it out this time and make sure you're spacing our your medication and taking it with food next time.
  10. I was getting dizzy when I stood up shortly after (a couple of months) the sleeve surgery and stopped taking my blood pressure medication and it's all been good since then. I had lost enough weight that quickly that I no longer had high blood pressure.
  11. We all have stalls and it's not uncommon to stall at 2 months post-op, so hang in there and stick with the program.
  12. Good luck with your nutritionist. My surgeon's office has a new dietitian that I really like and I think will really help me
  13. I use the free online app MyFitnessPal.com
  14. I stalled quite a while but now at a year post-op I'm starting to lose again.
  15. See, the pre-op stuff really helps put you in the right frame of mind for post-op, right? Good luck with your upcoming surgery.
  16. Probably gas. Be sure you're not drinking while you eat. Separate drinking from eating by 20-30 minutes.
  17. Nope, not me. If it only happens once I wouldn't worry, but if more than once I'd call the surgeon's office.
  18. Congratulations! As others have already said, talk to your surgeon and let him/her know.
  19. I had ZERO pain in the hospital and ZERO PAIN when I got home (I had the sleeve). Everybody gets cold feet thinking about what could happen and how they might be able to lose the weight themselves instead. It's normal. Hang in there and good luck with your surgery.
  20. I wanted gastric bypass to lose the maximum amount of weight possible. But I wasn't "that" obese and my Primary Care Doctor and psychiatrist wanted me to go for the "less invasive" sleeve surgery, which didn't make sense to me because they cut out 2/3 of my stomach, which sounds pretty "invasive" to me. LOL! So that's how I decided.
  21. I haven't experienced that, but my guess is that you might be dehydrated and your skin is drying up. Are you sipping, sipping, sipping all day long?
