  1. You really should follow your doctor's orders for whatever he/she has recommended. Your stomach needs time to heal.
  2. Yes, the purpose wasn't for you to lose weight but to shrink your liver. You'll be fine.
  3. No artificial sweeteners at all, huh? That's a tough one. Good luck. I hope people here can help you.
  4. As long as your incisions are completely sealed, it should be okay. I think I remember the doc saying 3 weeks post-op was okay.
  5. Woot-Woot! Way to go! Good job!
  6. That first night post-op was miserable with the nausea. By the time I got home, though, I was fine. I never had any pain. Glad you're doing okay.
  7. I wish I had known how many foods my stomach wouldn't tolerate anymore and that food wouldn't be fun, just fuel, going forward.
  8. I get the dizzy thing sometimes but not the sick thing.
  9. Call every day until you get an answer.
  10. I'm one year post-op, 55 years old, and finding it very hard to lose any additional weight and I even gained 3 lbs during the holidays. Go back to 800 calories a day eating, get some exercise, act like you're starting all over again, like a pouch re-set diet, there's plenty on the internet about that. Good luck. Don't give up hope.
  11. Magnesium Citrate. But this has been way too long for you to go without pooping. Call your doctor.
  12. That sounds normal to start getting hungry. Sounds like you've got a good handle on it. Stick with the program.
  13. Premade protein drinks (GNC Lean Shake). sugar-free pudding, sugar-free popsicles, chicken noodle soup (drain the noodles out), applesauce, sugar-free jello, Gatorade (zero sugar), sugar-free crystal light water additive
  14. Stalls happen about this time post-op, so it's frustrating but completely normal. Push through it by sticking with the program.
  15. Onederland is a wonderful place to be! Congrats!
  16. I didn't have the liquid diet pre-op, my surgeon had a different practice of reducing calories to < 1500/day. Post-surgery, I was on liquid diet 2 1/2 weeks but started soft foods about 10 days in.
  17. I've learned so much from these forums. I thought lap bands were like a 9-12 month thing. I didn't know they were long-term.
  18. Just because you CAN doesn't necessarily mean you SHOULD. I'm 14 months out and still can't eat bread. I tried eating fajitas today with the tortilla and my stomach doesn't tolerate soft doughy bread since surgery.
  19. Good luck with the approval process.
  20. Each doctor has slightly different guidelines. Do whatever your doctor told you to do.
  21. Have you talked to the nutritionist at your surgeon's office? Maybe you need to add some calories.
  22. Of course not, why not think of yourself thin and healthy?
  23. You're too young to have a turkey neck. ?
