Have to wait 2-3 weeks from insurance approval to surgery consult!
Yes, it's a lengthy process from start to finish. My insurance approval took two weeks, but I couldn't get the surgery for six weeks because my surgeon's calendar was booked up that far out. I know patience is hard, but it's worth it, so just take a deep breath and enjoy the fact that you've been approved.

going on vacation/holiday 7 weeks out of sleeve
You'll be fine. I went on a cruise 9 weeks post-op and did fine. I just really paid attention to what I ate.

Great post, thanks!

Did anyone go crazy before pre op diet started?
You mean like having a "food funeral" of a bunch of bad foods while you could still have them? Sure, that's common.

Liquids Before Surgery
I didn't mind the liquid-only phase because I got to drink all the chocolate protein drinks I wanted! LOL!

Can I eat this
Soft mushy foods only at this point. You don't want to irritate your new stomach. Cottage cheese, sugar-free pudding, sugar-free popsicles, soup, protein shakes.

Test
Good luck with all the pre-surgery testing.

I have a cold 2 days before surgery! Will they cancel
I'm sorry about the timing, but better safe than sorry if they have to postpone it.

Any Ideas?
Sounds like normal post-op nausea. It gets better within a few days.
-
Sore Muscles 3 weeks post op?
I'm guessing they're sore from the few days laying in the hospital and not using your stomach muscles as much when you raise from a seated position. When you start exercising again it'll all return to normal.

Food poisoning after gastric sleeve
Oh gosh, sounds awful. I haven't thrown up since the sleeve, so I think it would be awful. So sorry about your food poisoning.
-
MEAT
Sure some foods will be intolerant for you for a while and some still are for me even a year post surgery.

A bill for the nutritionist
My nutritionist visits are free for lifetime support, as often as I want to see her at my surgeon's office. It's part of the package deal.

Travel in the USA
Order from the kids' menu or senior menu or lunch size portions. Ask for half of your order in a to-go box for a second meal later. Just eat what you can and leave the rest.

Constipation issues after WLS
I got lucky and never had those issues after the sleeve, but my doctor had said to take Miralax if it happened.

Throwing up blood after 6 months
It's never okay to vomit blood. Get to the immediate care center.

SuperBowl food
Chili is a good healthy option. Chips with hummus? Parmesan crisps with dip?
-
Should I order Chinese food
It's been long enough since your surgery. Should be okay.

I think it goes from your starting weight and comorbidities.
