  1. Yeah sounds like the foamies. Been there, done that. I can only eat a tiny tiny portion of bread or pasta or potatoes now without getting them.
  2. Keep up the good work that the sleeve allows us to do.

    Binge eating

You are not alone. Binge Eating Disorder is a real thing. You might want to consider counseling prior to your WLS to get a jumpstart on dealing with the mental issues before the medical ones. Hang in there. It's a real thing.

    Stalled for 3 Weeks

    Yes that's normal.

i would like to hear feedback

Family are the hardest to deal with and often don't accept us as we are. WLS is NOT the easy way out and you are not a bad person for having weight issues. Good luck on your WLS journey.
  6. It was a simple small mistake. You'll be fine.

    Hair dye

    Sounds like a good plan

    400 calories max

That's not nearly enough calories. Drink some protein shakes.
  9. Especially if you grew up in the 70's you were always told, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" and "Don't skip breakfast" and I think even Schoolhouse Rock had one about "Breakfast: Break the Fast." But is that really true? Do we really need 3 meals a day? What if we only ate when we were actually hungry? Maybe 1 or 2 meals a day? Dr. Robert Cewes says that we don't need breakfast because our livers release stuff in the morning (Dawn Effect) - the stored sugar while we were inactive - your liver releases it all in the morning to get you up and moving and energized. He says if you're not hungry in the morning, don't just eat just because you think you're supposed to. There's a lot of theory that the food manufacturers back in the day paid heavily for advertising to convince us of certain "health facts" that really weren't health facts but opportunities to sell their sugary breakfast cereals, processed foods, etc. So I think we sometimes need to reexamine the science and medicine against what we have always heard or think we know from 40 years ago. https://youtu.be/Qleee_1yYHQ

    Side affects from protein shakes?

Fairlife are good. I use both their chocolate and vanilla. Sip slowly, don't gulp or put too much protein on your stomach too fast. Otherwise you shouldn't have any side effects.

    Still pain at incision site

I'm sorry you're going through this for so long. You'll get varied responses here. I never had any pain and never took any of the pain medication. But others, obviously, have. It probably is "normal" like your surgeon said and if you need a pain pill, take one. It shouldn't be too terribly much longer before it settles down, like at the 4 week mark.
  12. I think it's only natural to question why we can't "do this on our own" at various times in our lives and even during pre-op WLS appointments. Only you know the answer to that question.
  13. Thanks for checking in and letting us know how you're doing. I'm glad you gutted through to Day 4 and no longer have the buyer's remorse. It just takes time. Good luck on your WLS journey.

    Normal to hurt while drinking?

Sip, sip, sip, room temperature beverages. That might help.

    Recovery time

It depends on what type of job you have. A desk job would be easier to go back to work sooner than a physically demanding factory line job. For the most part you'll feel fine, just tired maybe for the first part of a week.

    Two weeks out

I'm glad you're recovering well. Keep us posted on your progress with the revision.
  18. The sweet spot is the first six months you don't have too much of an appetite. That gives you time to deal with head hunger and eating from boredom, stress, etc. After 6 months you'll regain your appetite but hopefully by then will have learned coping skills and alternate strategies to keep from eating.

Am I eating to much ?

The weight loss slows down as you reach your goal. Are you still watching what you eat and sticking to mainly protein? Are you still tracking what you eat? Watching portion sizes?

    First time

Yes, my GERD is completely gone since sleeve surgery.

    Loss of voice

The tube from the anesthesia? Just overall weak from having major surgery? Ask your surgeon's office just to be sure.
