    Will it get easier?

Yes, it gets easier. It's all a big adjustment. Hang in there.

    Confused

Call again. Be assertive to get what you want.
  3. Oh wow, you've done so well, congrats!

    Bad Breath

Yes, it's ketosis, perfectly normal Just use mouthwash.

    not enough protein

Try peanut butter, protein cake bites, protein shakes, protein chips, cheese . . .
  6. It's just a plateau or a stall. I'm going through one now at 16 weeks, been two weeks since the scale has gone down. That's normal. I eat around 800 calories a day and I exercise, so I know I'm doing everything right, my body just has to adjust to the 50 pounds I've lost and wait for a little while before it starts losing again. Hang in there.

    Surgery cancelled ugh

Oh that's a shame. Get well soon and get that surgery rescheduled. Take care.
  9. I'm four months post-op and there's still food that my body won't tolerate (steak, bread, tortillas). I know that the surgery was just a tool and the rest is up to me and my adherence to the diet guidelines set out for me by my surgeon. I have to be diligent whether I feel hungry or want to graze or not.

    Unsupportive Caregiver

You'll be able to take care of yourself now. People around you are going to eat what they're going to eat, so you have to stay strong to focus on the diet that you need to have post-op. Hang in there.
  11. That makes sense, but I'm glad you're improving overall and think you might be able to work again.

    Unflavored Protein in Water

That's a good idea. I didn't realize that unflavored protein powder existed.
  13. I'm 4 months out today and have only lost 35 pounds. I know I shouldn't say "only." I had in infamous Week 3/Week 4 stall, which it seems as though most people experience, then now I have been stalled 2 weeks at Weeks 14 -16 which it seems a few other members are experiencing as well. I lost the most weight my first two months. Now it's slowing down.

    Feeling good today...

Oh wow, you look so different! What a great non-scale victory!

How much walking 2-3 weeks post surgery?

I was doing 30 minutes a day. I was getting lightheaded when I first stood up, but not after walking a few minutes. My surgeon said to increase my salt intake.

    Disappointing outcome

That's a shame. I just would have assumed they'd go ahead with "something" after they had you all prepped and ready but I guess for liability concerns they can't just do that. Good luck with your new surgery.

    Fears wls

My biggest fear was death, and it didn't happen. LOL! I never had the first complication, pain, problem or anything, so it can be possible for surgery to go off without a hiccup.
  19. I remember doing cottage cheese, sugar free pudding, sugar free popsicles and things like that until solid food stage.

    Where am I going wrong?

Sometimes we're doing everything right but our bodies just need a break from losing. They weren't designed to lose weight. I'm in a stall now at 16 weeks and just have to wait through it.

    December 2018 Sleevers!

Me too! I've lost 35 pounds since surgery 12/11/18 and feel like it's slow, but I just saw my surgeon last week for a follow-up and she says I'm right where they want me to be. I get jealous sometimes watching the bigger people lose so much faster, but it is what it is. I'm eating around 850 calories/day easily. I'm also experiencing a stall now for two weeks and I read here yesterday where another December sleever was stalled now too, so it must be a normal thing for us around 16 weeks.

    Working away from home

Make good choices when eating out. It's a good opportunity to have salmon. If money is an issue, Arby's roast beef without the bun is good, or even Waffle House patty melt without the bread or eggs.

    Post op

You'll be able to do the treadmill right away. Other cardio like bicycle within 2 weeks, and the machines in 6 weeks.

    Very first puree meal, question

Sure, your stomach hasn't had "food" yet since a major traumatic event of surgery, so it lets you know. No worries, it's normal.

    Almost there

It's a good feeling, isn't it? It makes it feel real.
