GradyCat replied to Everything's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I didn't get a card. I didn't know such a thing existed. Is this something my surgeon can provide to me? -

Surgery on Monday -- really nervous
GradyCat replied to ChristineSO's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Look at how many of us here are had no complications or problems with the surgery. It 's only natural to have cold feet. It's okay, you've got this, you can do it! -
It's one of the common things that happens post-bariatric surgery, but I think it only lasts for a short period of time. I'm taking Biotin and using Rogaine and Nioxin.

My pre-op tests are tomorrow, and I’m freaking out!
GradyCat replied to 12345shs16's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was already on a CPAP for sleep apnea for several years, so I didn't have to do a sleep test because we already knew the results. -
Getting Sleeve Done in Two Weeks
GradyCat replied to Matthew2045's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You can do it! It's just two weeks and it shrinks your liver and it's so worth it. -

What do you do when you don’t want to eat?
GradyCat replied to CurvyMom's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm not liking food much lately and at first I wasn't eating anything, which wasn't helping my weight loss, so then I started filling in the calories with things like Wheat Thins or Pringles, which are a BAD IDEA! So I can certainly relate to your dilemma. -
I could walk as much as I wanted immediately after surgery. I waited about 2 weeks before biking.

Migraines getting worse - 8 months post op
GradyCat replied to notmyname's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Me too! I'm 7 months post-op sleeve and hadn't had a migraine in 2 years but now I've had two in the last couple of weeks and many crushing migraine-like headaches that weren't full-blown migraines. I thought it was the weather, heat, humidity, and atmospheric pressure -
Protein suggestions I finally found a good protein powder
GradyCat replied to Darktowerdream's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I'm glad you found something you like. I have always used the premades as opposed to the powder and I use GNC Lean Shakes in chocolate. -
Go back to the basics. Track everything you eat in an app like MyFitnessPal. Count your calories. Focus on protein. Get the water in. Get some exercise. You know the drill, you can do this!
