    4 Days Post-Op, And...

It's totally just post-op fluid and swelling from the surgery. It'll be okay.

    Lord help me....

Did it make you sick? Be careful and don't get any solid food for a couple of weeks post-op. Don't worry about the slip-up, it's not the end of the world.

    Aetna questions

My BMI was under 30 but I had the comorbidity of sleep apnea and I was approved. Of course it wasn't Aetna.

    I can gulp

I've never been a gulper, even before sleeve surgery, so sipping is normal for me. Try to reign it in.

    8 weeks post-op

You're doing great, keep up the good work and good luck on your weight loss journey.
  6. Good luck. I'd like to do something about my flabby arms, but I need to lose more weight first.

    The staples...

    Yep, they stay in forever.

    Tortillas Anyone?

Nope, one year post-op sleeve and I still can't eat bread or tortillas. They give me the foamies. My stomach doesn't like anything doughy.

    Blood pressure

I'm sure your body is just adjusting to the trauma you just put it through and it will calm down in a couple of weeks.

    Fitness trackers

I have a Samsung 8 phone and am using the Fitbit Versa smart watch. It also worked with the Fitbit Inspire HR.

    16 WEEKS AND 107LBS DOWN.

    That's amazing! Way to go!
  12. I used to have acid reflux and GERD, but a few months post-op sleeve, they went away and have been gone for nearly a year now.

3 miscarriages since WLS - help!

Have you talked to your OB-GYN or bariatric surgery about any possible connection?

    No F#$ckin BMI Way

I just wanna be "Overweight" and no longer obese. At least now I'm no longer "Morbidly Obese." Those charts are often extreme.
  16. How far post-op are you? Does it happen after certain foods?

    Dehydrated

It's so important to keep sipping, sipping, sipping sugar-free non-caffeinated liquids all day long. I usually get 10-11 glasses a day of water or water with peach teach crystal light powder in it.

Why Am I Always Cold ?

Have you had your thyroid levels checked post-op?

    Gastric bypass surgery and holidays

I had surgery Dec. 11th a year ago and Christmas was easy breezy because you can't eat much and the surgery is still new and you'd hyper aware of making good choices. Remember why you did this in the first place and it'll keep you on track.
  20. I never told anybody. When they noticed I lost weight, I just said I was dieting and exercising, which was true.

Hair is feeling very coarse ?

Make you're hitting your daily protein goals and you might consider taking Biotin for hail and nails
  23. I'm one year post-op, no gains yet, but no losses, but I started sneaking in cookies and crackers. So I've cut them out again and I have faithfully kept a food journal online every day for a year at myfitnesspal.com which keeps me mindful of what I'm eating and how many calories, etc. I also visited the nutritionist this past week to get back on track.

    Not satisfied with Unjury

I didn't like Unjury or the powdered proteins. I went with premade GNC Lean Shakes

    My 1 Year Surgiversary

This week marks my one year surgiversary. I stopped losing weight at 6 months. I just stalled. I never gained back any weight, but I didn't lose any more weight. But I'm still happy with my results and I am confident that I will lose more weight in 2020. Toward that end, I visited the nutritionist this week to get back on track. My meals were still good with portions, plenty of protein, plenty of water, but some cookies and chocolate sugary snacks had made their way into my diet that I have eliminated in the last 4 days. So here's to a new year in 2020 and a new chance to get back on track/stay on track with additional weight loss and increased health.
