  1. I hate to admit this, but my husband's been taking my Omeprazole for a year now. I stopped taking it when I had to take the breath test thing pre-op sleeve and post-sleeve my GERD went away and never came back and it's been a year. Now the prescription is about to run out and of course I won't be going to the doctor to get it refilled, so hubby's going to have to figure out something to do about his GERD and see the doctor himself or wean himself off of the medication or something.
  2. I guess I had just the opposite of what I hear a lot here on the boards. I had GERD pre-sleeve, but ever since the operation, it's gone away.

    🎈 Pity Party🎈

You might be able to sell the bras online on eBay or Poshmark. Congrats on your new surgery. How are you doing? Why doesn't the boyfriend want to have relations with you yet? Scars? Sore? Pain?

It's a very exciting time when you're in those final stages. Best of luck to you on your weight loss journey.

    Cigna Approval in GA

Generally, for most insurance companies who require it, it is six consecutive months and if you miss a visit in a month, you start all over again.
  7. I eat food about every 3-4 hours.
  8. I'd like to have plastics, but I can't afford them, so I'm just going to live with my wrinkled saggy skin.
  9. I'm glad it worked for you, just be careful introducing foods too quickly. Your stomach is still healing and there's a reason for the liquid and soft food stages.

    Food ideas?

I never did broth. I lived on protein shakes, sugar-free jello, sugar-free pudding, and sugar-free popsicles.
  11. I don't know what to do other than ride it out this time and make sure you're spacing our your medication and taking it with food next time.
  12. I was getting dizzy when I stood up shortly after (a couple of months) the sleeve surgery and stopped taking my blood pressure medication and it's all been good since then. I had lost enough weight that quickly that I no longer had high blood pressure.

    Not seeing change

We all have stalls and it's not uncommon to stall at 2 months post-op, so hang in there and stick with the program.

    2nd Nutritionist. Meeting

Good luck with your nutritionist. My surgeon's office has a new dietitian that I really like and I think will really help me

  16. I stalled quite a while but now at a year post-op I'm starting to lose again.

    March 11 sleeve date

See, the pre-op stuff really helps put you in the right frame of mind for post-op, right? Good luck with your upcoming surgery.

    Stomach pain(possible trapped gas?)

Probably gas. Be sure you're not drinking while you eat. Separate drinking from eating by 20-30 minutes.

    Sleeved on 12-13-19

Nope, not me. If it only happens once I wouldn't worry, but if more than once I'd call the surgeon's office.
  20. Congratulations! As others have already said, talk to your surgeon and let him/her know.

    Cold 🥶 Feet 😬

I had ZERO pain in the hospital and ZERO PAIN when I got home (I had the sleeve). Everybody gets cold feet thinking about what could happen and how they might be able to lose the weight themselves instead. It's normal. Hang in there and good luck with your surgery.
  22. I wanted gastric bypass to lose the maximum amount of weight possible. But I wasn't "that" obese and my Primary Care Doctor and psychiatrist wanted me to go for the "less invasive" sleeve surgery, which didn't make sense to me because they cut out 2/3 of my stomach, which sounds pretty "invasive" to me. LOL! So that's how I decided.
