    I’m not “fat enough”

I heard that too. "Just lose it on your own" was something my mother would have said. But my husband was very supportive and I did it and I'm happy that I did.

    Question of lower BMI patients

I was 5'6" and 235 lbs the day of surgery. I've lost 40 pounds in a year.

    Getting closer!!

    The countdown begins!
  4. Not that I've noticed.

    Sex

I don't know your age, could you be going through menopause? I didn't have any loss of sex drive and I'm 55.
  6. More than likely you didn't stretch your pouch with 8 lb gain, but as you already know you have to be vigilant going forward to continue the program and stay on track to avoid any regain and overeating. Stick with 1/2 cup servings and you'll be fine.

    Fullness on full fluids

Sure, your stomach was sore after surgery and now it's healing and will allow more.
  8. You don't even look like the same person.

    Weight Loss Stall

Absolutely normal. Nearly EVERYONE gets the dreaded 4 week stall, so you got lucky and didn't get it until 12 weeks. It's nothing you're doing wrong. It's just your body needing time to adjust. Stay with the program and you'll be fine.

    Pain in left shoulder area

When do you follow up with your surgeon? I would call the doctor.

    New Comer

Welcome and good luck on your weight loss journey.

    3 month stall question

Yes, two pounds fluctuation is normal during a stall.

    Hydration

I sipped, sipped, sipped all day long. Your protein shakes count toward your liquid, so do sugar-free popsicles.

3 months surgeon check up soon

You've done GREAT. Way to go!
  15. That's good to know. I didn't know about robotic surgery.

    Dehydrated?

If you even suspect it, get more water in. Your urine would be a darker color, you would be tired, you can pinch your skin.

    Protein Bar?

    Premier Protein Bar (chocolate)
  18. There are certain foods that a year post-op I still can't eat because they give me "the foamies" - soft tortillas, bread, steak, pasta, and potatoes.

    Liquid poo after surgery?

I had that for the first day after my sleeve.

    1/23/20

I had cold feet before my surgery, but I'm here a year later to say that I had NO PAIN, NO COMPLICATIONS, and the surgery worked. Good luck with your surgery (my birthday is 1/23)
  21. Most insurance companies require it. You must have documented proof of monthly (no missing a month or the count starts all over again) consecutive weight loss monitoring by a physician or diet-clinic. They'll weigh you monthly, counsel you on nutrition, etc.

    Protein

I eat a ton of protein and still have thinning hair. I use a generic version of Rogaine on my scalp, Nioxin shampoo and conditioner and take Biotin gummies every day. It's not growing my hair back, but at least I haven't lost any more.

    IM SO SAD

I know you're disappointed, but better to find out now than on the morning of surgery and get turned away. You'll come up with the $800 and your life will be so much healthier and better after the surgery. Hang in there.

    3 Month Update

Woot-woot! Party time! Way to go! It's such a great feeling.

    Pudding okay to eat

Yes, I survived on sugar-free chocolate pudding after sleeve. Good stuff.
