6 weeks post op ive only lost 21 pounds and 7 of that was pre op diet today ive put on a pound help what am i doing wrong

That's a LOT of weight to have lost already. You're doing fine. Just breathe. A pound could be a water weight fluctuation. Don't sweat the small stuff. Just follow the program and you'll be fine. It's a marathon, not a sprint. -
Vent away. We're here to listen.

New form of Tylenol!!!!!
GradyCat replied to K Be Good!'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Very interesting. Thanks for the info -
It's probably gas. Walk, walk, walk it off.

Yep, same here. Gained 10-12 COVID pounds. Working on getting them back off. Addiction to sweets has returned.

Oh that's terrible! I haven't experimented with premade home delivery meals, but I'm sure they come with bariatric macros with low carb, low fat, low calorie, etc. if you explore for them. Good luck!

Congrats! Have a good recovery. Keep us posted on your progress.

You can't do it yourself. You have to request from the administrator

I just have the basic FitnessPal app. -
That's great. I've been looking at a keto pill ad online. Wasn't sure if it would work or not. Curious about it.

I haven't gained it all back, but two years post-op and during COVID I've regained 10-12 lbs of it back. I'm actively losing again and the smaller stomach (VSG/sleeve WLS) really still works and is a great tool. I've remembered the right portion sizes and macros so I feel confident that I will not gain more and will re-lose this temporary setback.

Don't Want to Tell Family with a Twist
GradyCat replied to Elinor1811's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Do you feel comfortable cooking for him but not eating it? Is that too much temptation? You could just say, "I'm trying to watch my weight during the holidays." -
Those are some great compliments. I don't have a story like that. Nobody's really said anything to me. And I'm OLD!
-
Those are all good ones. My list included fitting in the airplane seat without the person next to me giving me "the look" and dancing without my belly shaking.

See you on the other side.

Congrats! Good job! Way to go! -
Nope, me either, no Orange Juice for me

I didn't try one, but if you feel it would give you comfort then by all means give it a shot.
-
I would think they stick with what your BMI was when they approved the surgery and don't recheck again.

I eat too fast but thankfully still very little, but I don't think I make it last 20 minutes except for a protein shake which I can make last an hour. I like my food hot, so I want to eat it while it's still hot.

For me, doing the sleeve, the post-op was a dream. Other than the first 24 hours in the hospital being so nauseous from the anesthesia, I never had a second of pain or gas or problems. Walk a lot during your post-op. Sip, sip, sip that water. Don't worry about the skin thing until down the road. If you lose slowly and tone as you go it might not be a problem.

Oh I'm so sorry for your devastating loss. Keep taking the medication and give it time. I can't tell you it gets better, but it does get tolerable.
