    Home Sleep Study

It's easy. I just did mine last month and I no longer have sleep apnea now 4 months post-op sleeve.

    Back Pain

I've only lost 50 pounds so far and no back pain.

    Soft Food Early

Just take it slow as you introduce real solid food into the mix. There are still some foods I can't eat now 4 months post-op (soft tortillas, bread, steak, roast beef) because my body isn't ready for them.
  4. Hooray for a Non-scale Victory!

    Energy Levels

It just has to run its course. Take care. Rest a lot. Get plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
  6. I'm four months post-op also (on the 11th) and haven't tried cake or mac and cheese yet. I have had a McDonalds cheeseburger on bread and it went down okay. And homemade hamburgers without bread work okay. But there are still some foods that I can't eat like soft tortillas, some breads, roast beef, and such. I'm afraid to try "treat" foods because I don't want to get back on that bad track like I was pre-surgery that made me obese to begin with.
  7. I think you're fine to add it at this point.
  8. I've been staying around 800, but I'm not losing/stalling, so I think I'm going to go back to 600

    ❤ 17 Months Post Op ❤

You ROCK! Thanks for all of your posts and information as I go through this journey. I'm just at 4 months and hope to lose another 60 pounds within the 12 month mark.

    Getting my surgery tomorrow

Good luck with your surgery. Everybody loses a different amount due to the weight they started at and other factors. Percentages remain the same, though. I've lost about 30% of my excess weight in 4 months. I could go to the gym doing cardio within 2 weeks of surgery but not lift weights, then I could start weight lifting at 6 weeks.
  11. Wow, I wanna be you when I grow up! Seriously though, 110 pounds in 7 months, wow! I'm stalled now at 4 months and worried that the scale will never move again even though I'm eating the right amount of calories and exercising. I guess I just have to be patient. I think you've still got another 5 months for loss -- don't they say a year?
  12. I was taking a fiber powder supplement because I don't get enough fiber intake, but I wasn't having any problems with bowel movements, so my nutritionist said I didn't need the fiber. I think you can take daily Philips gel caps stool softeners to help.

    Healthy habits before surgery

So true, learning to love real whole food instead of processed food and snacks. It's a whole new way of eating for me.

    December 2018 Sleevers!

I had the same surgery a week earlier than you and I'm having stalls at the exact same time. Whew! At least it's not just me, it must be a normal thing. Makes me feel better because I know I'm eating right and exercising and I wasn't understanding why the weight wasn't coming off.

    "Just Overweight!"

That's a great feeling! I hope to be there in about 3 months.

    Nausea

No, I'm four months out and haven't had any nausea

    vitamins for lifetime?

I was told yes, vitamins for life.

    3 days out😞

You just gotta do it. You can't risk getting dehydrated. Keep sipping constantly.
  19. I went through that too, like I wanted more (in my mind) but I was full (in my stomach) and the eating process was just no fun or pleasurable anymore. It gets a little better further out.

    Diet

No problems. By the end, though, I was ready for some texture and real food, but it was very do-able and easy. I ate plenty of sugar-free popsicles!

    Constipation

It gets better, just takes a little time. Some people here use Miralax at first. I got lucky and never had any problems.

    Post-Menopausal Women and WLS

I'm post-menopausal and mine is going what I would consider to be slowly, but I have to keep reminding myself that slow loss is better than no loss at all.
  23. It looks like you've tried different ones, so it shouldn't be a lactose issue. Have you called your surgeon's office? Are you using premade shakes or powders? I use GNC Lean Shake 25 g protein premade and they work fine for me. I've been using them for years pre-op and now post-op as well.
  24. Yes, it's just the muscle pulling from near the incision site. No worries.

    Dec 2018 surgery updates please

I'm so jealous! I had my sleeve the day after yours and have only lost 35 pounds in 4 months. I know, I know, I started out at a lower weight and I'm a girl, but still, you're ROCKING IT! I've done well, no complications, no problems, just slow losing and some stalls, but I am hanging in there knowing that I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing, exercising, eating 600-800 calories and the weight will come off when it comes off.
