  1. I discovered lump crab meat is virtually pure protein--no fat or carbs. One ounce of lump crab meat has 23 calories, 0g of fat, 0g of carbs and 5.5g of Protein. I am talking about real lump crab meat, not the imitation stuff that is loaded with sugar. You can get it at costco, Trader Joe's and some supermarkets. I will have it with some wasabi sauce (20 calories a tablespoon). I have also turned it into crab salad with a little low fat mayo, onion, pepper and lemon juice etc. I have also made crab cakes (omitting the bread crumbs of course).
I am allowed white flaky fish in my soft/puree stage. So, I have also been making Tilapia stuffed with lump crap, rigotta cheese (part skim), spinach, onion and garlic. I preheat my oven to 400 degrees. I then chop the spinach, onion and garlic finely, then saute it in a little (1.5 tablespoons?) of extra virgin olive oil with a little salt, pepper and lemon juice. I then put half a cup of rigotta cheese in a bowl and add 3-4 ounces of lump crab meat. I then put the sauteed spinach, onion and garlic into the bowl and mix it through thoroughly. I then take 4-5 tilapia loins that I buy from the frozen section of costco and slice them down the side to create a pocket and then stuff the tilapia with the stuffing. I then place the fish in a pyrex dish (which I first spray with PAM). I put another ounce or so of lump crab on top of the tilapia. I then sprinkle some lemon juice, salt (sea salt--not processed crap) and pepper over the fish. I then put one or two tablespoons of Benecal light (50 calories a table spoon on top of the tilapia), then I put the dish in the oven for 25-30 minutes (you know its done when the fish is flaky and the edges are a little brown.
At this point, I can eat a 4-5 ounce serving, but my wife and kids love it too so this is dinner for the whole family.
Looks like im gonna be making this very soon thanks brotha appreciate it.

  3. Holy cow, I'd heard about the feeling cold thing but I never anticipated it being this bad! It's like my wife and I have switched places. We were always battling over the thermostat in the house and car and it was because she would always sweat me out and I would freeze her out. Her and my kids think this is hilarious watching me cover up in a blanket while watching tv and whatnot. I was always sweating before and now I'm cold all the time and they are complaining of the heat if I turn it up too much. Crazy!
Im with you on that brotha never thought i would see the day of me being cold all the time lol the wife is getting a kick out of it.

  4. This will be my first post but I know not my last, I appreciate this site and my heaviest was beginning of November 2018 and once cleared to speak with the surgeon he put me on a two Protein Shake and 400 calorie dinner regiment and I have been swimming and drinking a Gallon of Water a day (I know that wont be happing for a while). My Date is Dec 18 and VSG just 8 days away and I am currently at 401. Trying my best to stay dialed in this weekend was the toughest as far as discipline and I had a couple cheat meals the Doctor last saw me at 401 and approved the date for the 18th now I'm turning it up a bit this week, Thank you for this opportunity to take this Journey with you all Prayers, and well wishes and advice go along way....... Thank you
