Good morning and happy new year. I was sleeved on the 18th. Saw dr this morning. 20lbs down and ready to try puréed food. Looking forward to tasting food again.

So I’m 2 days post op and I am in so much pain. The walking helps a little. I get a gurgling sound every time I sip my Water. Keeping hydrated seems to be my problem. Especially when all I want to do is sleep.

I haven’t kept it a secret. I decided that if they don’t support my decision to get help to get healthy then that’s fine. I’ve been lucky that friends, family and coworkers have been extremely supportive. It’s made this journey a lot better. Gotten a lot of well wishes today as my surgery is tomorrow. I think I needed this for my journey but I understand why people don’t tell others as well. Good luck.

I thought about keeping it a secret and did until about half way through the process until I really thought about it and decided I really didn't care what others opinions were on the matter because I am doing this for me, not for them. Now I have a Facebook page that I invite everyone too. Surprisingly enough everyone has been very supportive. I have no shame in what I am doing for myself, you shouldn't either!

I’m 43 and I’m doing mine on 12/18.

My surgery is scheduled for the 18th of December. I seem to only have to be on Clear Liquids on the day before my surgery. But I see my nutritionist again on the 10th.
