  1. Are you not allowed dressing on your plan? Mine says fat-free salad dressing is fine. I also make a good dressing with spicy brown mustard, stevia and water. It's runny but it tastes good, like honey mustard dressing.
  2. OMG! I think I drooled a little!!
  3. That looks so good! I'm dying for a salad!
  4. I was sleeved on 11/29/18. I looked through the Food Phase 1, 2 & 3 guide the surgeon's office gave me but it says nothing about when we could start eating salads or raw veggies again. I remember the nutritionist saying all my veggies had to be steamed or cooked till soft, but for how long? I really want a salad with grilled chicken or shrimp.
  5. I didn't lose anything the first week really. In fact, I came out of the hospital weighing 10 pounds heavier after 48 hours of IV fluids, Pepcid and protonix. It took several days to get rid of the excess fluid. I'm 2 weeks post op today and the scale is finally moving in the right direction. I've lost just over 8lbs since surgery
  6. This is one of CauliPower Pizza's. I'm 13 days post op. This is all I could eat
  7. Gas pain. Heating pad, gas X and walk, walk, walk it off! Hope you feel better!
  8. I've heard that everyone has a tale when they are full - from sneezing, hiccups, runny nose, etc. I get this awful tightness in my chest and then pain. Sometimes it takes my damn breath away it's so bad. Is it always going to be this way?
  9. I thought about keeping it a secret and did until about half way through the process until I really thought about it and decided I really didn't care what others opinions were on the matter because I am doing this for me, not for them. Now I have a Facebook page that I invite everyone too. Surprisingly enough everyone has been very supportive. I have no shame in what I am doing for myself, you shouldn't either!
  10. Congrats! Hope everything is well. Remember to walk, walk, walk!
  11. How long before surgery was your last bowel movement? Maybe you need a Dulcolax
  12. Sounds like me after washing my 2 dogs. I'm 2 weeks post-op. I think you and I both over did it!
  13. Thanks Kathy!! I'm ready to get on to bigger and better things! This road has been rough!!
  14. Yep, I bought a treadmill so I could walk without having to walk in this freezing cold weather lol. Love my treadmill!
  15. I love the Bariatric Fusion meal replacement shakes. They have some great flavors to choose from and they dont leave a funky after taste when you're done. My other favorite is the Nectar drinks, especially the Caribbean Cooler (tastes like a Pina Colada) and my favorite, Fuzzy Navel! They also have a BariatricPal Hot Chocolate protein drink with mini marshmallows that is the BOMB!!
  16. Thanks Ellen! I'm in Joplin, MO.
  17. I am scheduled for the sleeve tomorrow evening. I have set up a home gym in my basement because I dont like to work out in front of people and it's too damn cold to go to the trail and walk. I was wondering how long did everyone wait before they started working out?
  18. Look up Dr. Duc Vuong on YouTube. He is a world renowned bariatric surgeon who puts out tons of helpful videos. He is my mentor. Check out the Dr. V diet!
  19. I dont think you are being irrational at all and you are most definitely NOT a loser. It is she that should be jealous of you and your self control cause she obviously has none and in the end that is going to come back and bite her in the ass. And for those people commenting, ignore them. They have no idea how differently people lose and this isn't their journey. They will never understand. You just keep doing the right thing and in the end it will be you who has the success!
  20. I live in Joplin, MO but go to the doctor in Springfield which is about an hour 15 minutes away. Surgery will be tomorrow at Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville, MO, a 4 hour drive.
  21. Yeah it's been terrible. Thank God for Jell-O lol. Will do
  22. Getting sleeved tomorrow. Ready to get it done and move on in this journey!
  23. If it makes you feel any better I have been on the pre-op liquid diet since Thanksgiving and I have actually GAINED weight! Ugh!! Good luck! My surgery is tomorrow, yours will be here before you know it!
