I am trying to feel calm by getting things ready etc. The bad part is I have to drive by myself for 1 1/2 hours at 3am to get to the hospital. My husband will be at the hospital a few hours later once I am in surgery after he gets the kids to school. I am feeling more confident now verses a week ago. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.
Stay well 2B! Be thinking of you and Marine while we are all post-op together🙏🏽

Good luck tomorrow! You are scheduled 2 hours ahead of me (maybe more with Alaska time difference☺️). Since starting pre-op diet and 48 hour liquid pre-op, I lost 11 lbs. Already a ‘loser’ 🥳

Tomorrow is my last day for a small meal (a cup of this, half cup that) along with my three protien shakes then I spend the weekend, 48 hours, on a pure liquid diet. Wake up and head to surgery🙃. Excited! Hope all goes well for you. Just another 72 hours away.....

Literally my whole family is skinny. I suffer from anxiety and having this major surgery is weighing heavy on me. I keep thinking something might go wrong at the operating table
Anyone to confide in?? Don’t have to give all the details but perhaps just so someone knows you’re having a procedure performed?

Hang in there. It’s natural to worry but the statistics support the benefit of following through. I know of at least 10 family, friends and colleagues that have had bariatric surgery. All of them experienced anxiety but none of them have regret. They all wished they would have done it sooner....Heck so do I. My close friend and I started this health journey together but I began 2 months ahead of her. Only the dr’s team, she and my husband know I am getting a sleeve. She was sleeved on 12/20 (her insurance only required 3 months while mine required 6) while I am scheduled for 2/18 and I begin my two week pre-op diet tomorrow. Funny, I had to encourage her to stay the course as she got major cold feet the week before but now, she’s my advisor and support to push through.

Great! I have a sleeve buddiversary🤗. I’m looking forward to the changes 2019 brings. I’ll post a quarterly timeline starting with 2018, pre-op day, June, Oct and Feb 2020 for 1 yr anniversary. I meet with Nutritionist for pre-op diet instructions next week. I don’t think I will do liquid diet right away since there will be about over two weeks before surgery date though. If I lose too much, may interfere with insurance qualifications.

Finally got a date-2/18! My goodness, that felt like ages. I orginally posted I thought I’d get in this month but my dr decided to take a couple weeks of vacation so I have to wait until he returns. Excited!

I will have a confirmed date at my 1/07/2019 sixth months in a row follow up but bariatric doc says looking on track for before January end. Fingers-crossed! I’ve been reading to get guidance of pre-op diet restrictions...nervous but determined.

Inspiring! I’m jelly that you don’t seem to have loose skin?! You have a great figure. If you care to share your workout regimen, please inbox me. I am scheduled for a sleeve upcoming late January. So excited to think if I work as hard as you, I may be that much closer to my goals.

Hello. I just signed up after months of reading these forums as I feel the need to share some support. I too will be having a sleeve done hopefully end of January/early February. He is extremely fit, works out every day but he knows my challenges. He’s been supportive and we both wished I’d done this years ago. Please, please stay on your path to a better you. I hope that when I’m post-op and join the post-op forum chats, you are right along side me.

Marine, have you figured out the way to stop the constant need to burp? I must or I will severely feel the pain of trapped air pockets (I sip, don’t gulp or use a straw too). It’s especially challenging when I am trying to simply sleep (and my head is elevated),
