  5. Matt you are absolutely right I don't want to do anything to cause myself to fail and I haven't actually eaten anything. My biggest problem is self control it was before the surgery and now its it's something I'm definitely going to have to focus on and work at. Thanks for the advice.
  6. You can always go back a stage don't rush eating if you're body isn't ready. I also had my surgery the first and was told 1 week clear liquids 1 week full liquids then into pureed or mushy foods. But to only add 1 new food per day so you can see how each thing affects you. I'll be starting full liquids Friday. It's a long blend few weeks but just go slow and hang in there I hear it will get better.
  7. Because I have insurance it was a very long process of getting required steps met in order to get a surgery date. But one I had a date set everything moved very quickly and I remember feeling excited and nervous or panicked at the same time. I think what you are feeling is very normal considering this really is a life changing experience. One day at a time and keep the end goal as a reminder why you started this process. My surgery was almost not approved and I prayed "Lord if this is your will for me then everything will come back approved and if it isn't approved I'll know to stop trying to get it done." This was my second attempt over the last almost 3 years. If you are Christian I'd say just keep praying and asking for peace with your decision to move forward and find comfort knowing you are in the hands of the Lord and he's not going to let anything happen to you. You can do it.

  9. So I’m a week post op and sill in the clear liquid stage ugh. Starting full liquids Friday. I feel the need for flavors and texture already especially since I’m still feeding 3 kids and smelling their food and watching them eat. I’m not necessarily hungry it’s just a matter of wanting something and trying to break old habits. So today I chewed then spit out food just for the taste of it. I’m worried that’s gonna set me up to fail if I’m already trying to cheat. Anyone else do anything like this or eat before they were supposed to? How did it affect your progress? I’m also disappointed I’ve only lost 10 lbs post surgery.
