  1. Thank you everyone <3 you all! =')

  2. The only tips I guess I mainly go by are stay away from the mushies, unless you absolutely have to eat them because you are much too tight for anything else. Otherwise, don't fight the band, eat SOLIDS... you don't want stuff to go down 'easy'. You want it to stay there in your small stomach so you feel full. The longer it stays, the better. Meats and veggies are best. Of course, chew, chew, chew, lol... but don't give in to the 'easy' foods. =)

And be agressive about fills. The minute I am able to eat more than a couple of bites at a time and am feeling hungry most of the day, I make that appt. to get my next fill. Usually every 4-6 weeks.

    Good luck.. and thanks!

  3. BCBS- My husband's BCBS required 6 months of dietary consult before approval.

MY insurance, also BCBS - only required one consult and I was approved right away.

I guess it's whatever is in your 'Plan'? I'm not sure what determines the approval process?

  4. Yay! You're on your way! Before you know it, your "After" pics will be stunning us all!! I can't wait! So excited for you! =)

  5. Everything is going great... still striving to get the ultimate restriction, lol. Going in Monday for my 3rd fill! Wish me luck!

  6. Going a little better these days. My back isn't quite as bad as it was. I am really trying to adjust to having the band... over-ate a little tonight... so I was miserable for about 2 hours. lol I am really fighting to eat S L O W. I've always been some sort of speed eater, lol. It's definitely a challenge. However, I've lost a total of 10 lbs since leaving the hospital... but 23 lbs since October. Can't wait to see myself 6 months out! I'm excited! =)

    How are YOU doing??

  7. Thanks! I'm banded and sitting here in some pain... I have pain meds. They had to fix a hernia and also found an artery that wasn't supposed to be there? I guess? I am struggling to keep hydrated, I think. I have a headache and feel like I've been in a car accident, lol. I know it'll get better. But I find it hard to get a burp out... but when I do... wow, do I feel better! I think I am still suffering from the gas they use to inflate your stomach, too... a lot of pressure in my chest. I really hope all this is normal.

  8. I have to pay the final part of my downpayment this week... and they say my date will be in December? I am so excited... only $100 and less than 2 months to go!! Been trying to do this for about 4 years now...

  9. Good luck, Stacey!! You are built just like me... and our surgery dates will be very close. (I am due to be scheduled for sometime in December at the end of this week, beginning of next... they are waiting on my final $100 portion of my downpayment!!). I wonder what we'll look like this time next year??!! =)

  10. I am doing great!! I am sending off the final portion of my downpayment on Thursday... will have a surgery date soon after. I am sooo EXCITED!!
