  1. Oh can you link me to that? I’d like to get it ordered
  2. So unlike other here, I cannot figure out how to post links. So I’ll post a SS instead.
  3. Okay so had my 10 month FU with my NUT. So I’m officially under GW and have lost >100% of my excess fat. When not on vacation, I average 800 calories daily, with approx 60-70gm protein and <30 gm carbs. She said that I can probably expect to keep losing 3-4 pounds monthly until around February and then could potentially lose another 5-6 pounds overall in the February-August range of 2020. That’s assuming I stay as on plan as I have been for the first 10 months and that I don’t lose my stuff and start eating crap. The clinic I go to is fairly conservative. They don’t like to set too many rules or parameters so they’re really hesitant to promote any particular kind of diet or exercise regimen. That being said, my NUT still wants me to keep carbs <40gm daily until she sees me in February, and as long as my energy levels stay the same, she said I don’t have to try to kill myself to get in >60 gm protein. Basically since I’m not a 20-something male athlete, my body will get enough with around 60gm with the weight that I am. I’m actually pleased that she didn’t tell me to radically increase carbs. She’s totes fine with my eating in a 8-10 hr window daily and that when I break fast daily, I almost always start with protein shake/coffee. She says that continuing a daily protein shake for the rest of my life is fine if I want to as long as I’m also eating food protein the other 2 meals. She didn’t give me a calorie min or max. Basically if I stay within goals of protein and carbs, and my weight stabilizes, then she said it doesn’t matter. If I go in and I’m under 135 (which I seriously doubt, but who knows) then we will look at adding in some more fats and complex carbs. All in all, it was really weird to go in and weigh-in UNDER goal weight at the office. Oh yeah, and I’ve already dropped 1.4 of the 3.2 holiday/vacay weight..... so..... Yay! @FluffyChix, She did say that too much protein can also “Turn on” hunger cravings like carbs can. It takes waaaaaay more protein than carbs to turn it, but even protein in too high amounts can be converted to excess fat and can cause insulin resistance. I couldn’t get a firm number out of her, but I had had suspicions about this and will try to keep total protein under 80gm daily and see what that does.

Yup. The dress is way too big. LOVE the boots though
  5. Another thought: I just got Kristen Lloyd’s bariatric mindset success book and the 6 month journal. I’m definitely going to start those by Jan 1st if anyone wants to join me
  6. Very interested in participating. My live group has the worst meeting times with my schedule. I only get to go to those about 3-4 times yearly
  7. Sooooo jelly of the spicy mayo! I have a cast iron sleeve—except when it comes to mayo and butter Then it’s stomach cramps galore. Man I miss mayo......
  8. This was yesterday’s brunch. Didn’t even eat til 11 am, but this is absolutely all I was able to get down. Lol, had to wait an hour before I could move onto my wine.
  9. I pretty much do this same thing. Almost every single day I’m not eating til after 11am and when I do it’s 1/2 Premier and 1/2 iced coffee. That gets me a quick 15gm protein on board and I’m “primed” for more in just an hour or two. After that late-morning protein, I’m ready for a tuna pouch or 3/4 cup cottage cheese, or even a p3 snack. Sometimes I even get hungry for an afternoon snack, which can be hummus and veggies, or a couple slices deli meat, or olives and a handful of almonds. Then it’s onto dinner, which typically consists of 1/2 protein, 1/2 veg or salad. Slider carbs I flat-out avoid at all costs. Don’t want them, don’t need them when I’m detoxed on sugars.
  10. Totally hear ya on the iron sleeve. Lol, I was eating salad within 4 weeks PO. Salad and loads of it. SMH. Anyway... here is what Friday looked like for me (disclaimer: it was vacation and we went to a really cool 3 house tour cocktail party that lasted for 3 hours) Friday am: no breakfast. Drank about 16 oz water to rehydrate from shenanigans from Thursday night. Friday lunch: 3-4 bites fried chicken, 1/2 cup slaw, 1/2 cup collard greens at a museum cafe. Friday 4:30-5:30pm. 1 large glass Chardonnay. Friday 5:45-8pm: spiked apple cider, gimlet, 1 dark and stormy (each house had a 1 cocktail/person limit) and some cheese, crackers, hard cured deli meats, 1/2 ginger snap, 1/3 chocolate brownie spread out between the different venues. Skipped the veggie platter as I judged it would take up too much room that could be used to hold alcohol. ?? Friday night 8:30-10pm: 2 more glasses Chardonnay in our Airbnb, then bed. Zero nausea. Zero dumping. Zero hangover. Kind of scary, TBH, but I made sure that I ate small on the food bc there was no way I wanted to curb the beverages. Most days I didn’t even try to eat bf 11am though and my sleeve is still as “tight” as ever in the morning.
  11. Agree. I’ll also agree that from what I’ve seen, you’re going to get on top of this and completely dominate it @AZhiker.
  12. Okay so I’ve got a question: Does anybody know what surgeons say about breast cancer survivors and brachioplasty? I’ve never had lymphedema and would hate for that to happen.
  13. Last night was TOUGH. got home around 8pm and wanted to eat sooooooo bad. I had to seriously fight it off hard-core because my body is still detoxing from sugars (primarily in the form of alcohol sugars) and the cravings were awful. The good news is that I woke up clear-headed and not hungry at all. It also helped that I slept in a bit to get me through a bit more time. Please keep us posted on the protein cravings and what your live group days. Tomorrow am I have an apt with my NUT and will be discussing macro goals with her.
  14. Okay guys! Gained 3.2 pounds (147-150.2) during holiday/vacation. Just finishing a 24 hour fast and I’m asking y’all to be my accountability partners heading into the next couple of weeks. Before we left, I cleared the house of all non-Sheri-Bari foods and now I’m sipping on a coffee protein shake before heading to work out for the first time in 8 days. Planning a rwalk on the TM later and meal-prep for the next 2-3 days. Goal is to ditch the 3 pounds by next Tuesday.
  15. Actually right now is about when we will need this the most. I did okay during the thanksgiving break and the week of vacation after. My biggest challenge is to refrain from “celebrating” with libations. The holidays are always the toughest in that regard. I’m about to break a 24 hour fast and get right to the business of losing the 3.2 pounds I’ve gained in the last 2 weeks
  16. Mememememe! Okay, so I was supposed to fast all day yesterday, then woke up with a headache and it was our last morning in town and well..... we had breakfast and breakfast wine. So, I started the fast around 11am yesterday and I’m about to “break” it with a coffee/protein shake, then head to the Pilates studio, then have some cottage cheese and sunflower seeds for lunch. Dinner will be rotisserie chicken and a salad pack. I’ve pre-logged it and it’s gonna be about 500-600 calories (exact total will depend on how much chicken my sleeve will be able to hold later) All in all, I’m extremely excited to report that I jumped right on the scale this morning and since the Wednesday before thanksgiving I’ve gained 3.2 pounds. That’s basically 13 days worth of not logging food and drinking/eating whatever, whenever. Oh yeah, and no BM since Thursday (sorry if that’s TMI). Anyway, I’ll be weighing in every 1-2 days to see how long it takes to get back under 147. Right now I’m defending 145-150 and I’m 0.2 pounds over. ???
  17. Sooooo glad to hear you sailed through surgery and are on the way to recovery!

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree... who is that beauty by your branches?! Thanks for saying that. Right now I’m currently VERY HAPPY with my size, but I’m almost equally UNHappy with how my hair/skin is looking. I’m glad that hubs is 7 yrs older bc otherwise I’d look like his mother ATM
  19. Lol, I’ll prolly only do 24 hours as I’m pretty positive I’ll need some kind of protein shake/heave cream I’m coffee for traveling on Monday. I’m really prone to headaches, and airplanes are basically auto-headache for me so I’ll def need some liquid caffeine in the morning. Again, it’s a question of “how much” milk/creamer/protein shake counts as “breaking fast”.

Right??? *sigh*... now that I’m GW -7 pounds, I realize that plastics are my only hope for thigh gap.

    From the White House..... BOOMER!!!
  22. okay, so I’m in my last 2 days of vacay (which started immediately after thanksgiving) needless to day, I’m loving the fact that I’ve relaxed my standards the last 9 days, but I’m honestly ready to “get back on the wagon” im already planing a 24 hour fast for Monday/Tuesday as I travel back home then I’ve got 2 Pilates classes scheduled and I’ve set an alarm on my phone to hit the treadmill Texted my daughter a grocery list of 5-6 must-have foods that I normally eat (she has my extra bank card in her wallet in case of emergencies) so I’ll arrive home with some very healthy options first thing Tuesday am when it’s time to break fast. I have no idea what I’ve lost or gained since Iast weighed myself about 10 days ago. Don’t plan on weighing til Wednesday am. anyone else wanna join me on a fast Monday?
  23. Okay, so still vacationing, and this is the first time I’ve even tried breakfast (10:30am local). lol, didn’t eat very much.... PS. Mostly I’ve eaten high protein, low carb, but today is Big XII championship game and we got to the sports bar early to claim a good spot. Gotta admit that the tots are currently not sitting well and I’ve got a greasy film in my mouth from them.
