  1. #4 Exercise: Went to gym after dropping the Kid off at school, did 20 mins upper body strength training with free weights (arms, shoulders, back, chest).

Then went to Hot Yoga (1 hour)

Later tonite, after the fam has dinner will do my daily 5km walk around the neighbourhood.

  2. The length of time it takes me to eat. Sometimes i just want to hurry it up already (at which i will get rewarded with some awesome foamies), and other times I just want to just say F it, i dont want to keep having to eating this.

I’m always the last person eating, and I feel like I’m drawing attention to myself, amplified by the miniscule portions on my plate.

Thank you guys for all your feedback!! I appreciate it.. a while back before surgery my hair was very unhealthy and wouldn’t grow. I started to take some pills and within 3 months my hair grew long, natural, and thick people thought I had hair extensions but in reality it was my natural hair.. I am 2 months post op, I haven’t lost any hair (yet) I am going to start the pills again to see if it will help prevent it or if it does fall to see if it’ll grow back fast.. if you ladies want pics of the hair pills let me know and I will post them

    Yes, pics pls ❤️

The restriction is still so real. I went yo chick fil a with my daughter tonight and ate two chicken strips, slowly. With sipping sauce. I was full. But I ate two of her (large) waffle fries. This is the first time I've felt so bad after eating. Like aching pain like I just had four plates of food on Thanksgiving. I'm almost six months out and was being careless. It's been about three hours and it still aches. All I can think is I stretched my pouch. Ugh why did I do this? I'm fine with having a couple fries once in a while. But I really should have listened to my body when it said "hey, all full down here. Don't send any more food!". Annoyed and uncomfortable. No vomiting thank goodness. But I'm so mad at myself.

Try not to be so hard on yourself...everyone steps off plan at some point or another. Chalk it up as a mistake and go back on track :) Hope you feel better soon

  5. I had a the sleeve. My hair started shedding at month 3. I had really long hair, and I felt like the weight of it emphasized the thinness at my scalp, so I chopped it all off and it looks so much better (i.e., fuller). I just passed my 5 month mark, and while I don't notice any further thinning, I don't notice any new growth yet either. I guess I'll just keep my hair short until it does start to grow back *crosses fingers*.

    April 3rd:

I'm going to learn belly dancing 😍

Ooohh i did a class on this at a bachelorette party. Was so much fun...go out and buy yourself one of those hip scarves with the metal bits that make clinky noises...they induce the sexy feels :)

  7. #3 Learn Something New: Ok, so I'm tired of spending money on eyelash extensions. I love them, as I don't feel the need to wear any mascara or eyeliner when I have them on. I wake up in the morning and bat my eyelashes in the mirror and feel beeee-u-ti-fuI (everyone should try it at least once...I did and was hooked, and I only get the natural looking kind, not the thick "glamour" ones). Anyway, I am an eye-rubber so I tend to rub those babies off prematurely and have to get refills, so the $$$ adds up (the Kid, on the other hand, managed to have her first one last for almost 4 months - she is definitely NOT an eye-rubber).

Anyhoo...so today, the something new I (actually the Kid and I) are going to learn is how to do lash lifts (i.e., lash perms) on my eyelashes with this kit I bought. I had lash lifts done before I was doing extensions, and the results are pretty good, not as good as extensions, but good enough; lifts are also less expensive than extensions. But...if I/we do it at home, its even cheaper! Cross your fingers that my lashes don't get fried. Or fall off. Or I go blind.

  8. Surgery: VSG (just a little over 5 months post op, still losing...)

    Starting weight: 146.4

Goals: Get to 135 lbs (which would mean a 100 lbs loss for me since October!) && increase strength training time/amount. Right now I do maybe 20-30 mins twice a week, I want to do more.

#1 Something I'm proud of today: I am getting so much better at remembering the steps in Zumba. I didn't feel as stupid as I normally do this morning at class.

omg i'm so looking forward to putting on a wetsuit and not having to choose from the men's selection because none of the womens' sizes fit me before.

Well, my 5 month update (I'm really only 5 months out because I was sleeved on 10/29). I'm down 103 total, 96 since pre-op diet, 82 since surgery (appx 68% EWL since surgery). I'd take it all back if I could. I had a great first 3 months - got my protein/liquids in from around day 3, could eat most anything I tried. Now I'm sick as a f'ing dog. Luckily, I'm at least a bit better than I was at the end of February, when I cried every day from the reflux and overwhelming nausea. Doc changed my meds a bit, so the reflux is manageable and I am not nauseous all the time, just when I eat. I can eat FAR less now than I could even a month after surgery. And I can't tolerate Protein drinks. So, I'm now getting about half the Protein I'm supposed to (and that's with drinking 2 glasses of milk a day) and struggling to get my liquids. I did this to improve my quality of life, and it has deteriorated rapidly. Doc doesn't seem to know what is going on, and is just suggesting converting to bypass to fix the reflux. But he admits that might not fix the nausea/inability to eat. So, his answer is to further reduce the size of my stomach and rearrange my intestines, which will cause more malnutrition, when he's so concerned about my lack of nutrition that he's considering putting me on a PICC line? Um, no thanks. Not untill he figures out why the hell I'm so f'ing sick.

I see him again on Friday, so I hope we can get answers. Because at this point, I'm a little scared of what my life is becoming. I'm supposed to be creating healthy eating habits, but I can barely eat anything. So I feel like I'm creating super unhealthy eating habits, just the opposite of the ones I had before.

Im sorry you are having a crappy time. Did you consider maybe seeing another Dr/getting a second, third, fourth opinion?

March 1st starting weight: 158.1 lbs, 4 months post surgery, still losing...

Goal for this month : get into the 140's

I didn't do the daily participation this month, but I DID read it almost every day and kept up with everyones updates. Despite my non-posting, I did complete the "No Junk Food" challenge (its really my natural state anyway). And I did get into the 140's...I finished off March at 146.9 lbs, (a loss of 11.2 lbs for march :99_muscle:)

so 11 more lbs to go! I just scheduled a Tummy Tuck and breast lift for July so that is motivating me to lose the last 11lbs.

So exciting! 11 lbs is not far to go. I'm about 26lbs to goal and and started looking at PS options...I can't decide what to do first...how did you decide?
