    Wow wow wow. 111 lbs is 6 months is AWESOME. Congratulations!!! I hear you about sizing...its so inconsistent among stores. But its fun to shop now, isn't it?

    #5 Take a long deep breath. Done. 😁 That was easy. Went to my 6th month post op check up today with my nutritionist, nurse and social worker (3 weeks early, as I had to reschedule my appts), and all's good so far, other than that my NUT wants me to eat more carbs/fibre as she would like me to poop more, she didn't talk about calories this time, which was different. Lab work done a well, but won't get results until a couple weeks.

    #4 Exercise: Went to gym after dropping the Kid off at school, did 20 mins upper body strength training with free weights (arms, shoulders, back, chest). Then went to Hot Yoga (1 hour) Later tonite, after the fam has dinner will do my daily 5km walk around the neighbourhood.

    Hardest part

    The length of time it takes me to eat. Sometimes i just want to hurry it up already (at which i will get rewarded with some awesome foamies), and other times I just want to just say F it, i dont want to keep having to eating this. I’m always the last person eating, and I feel like I’m drawing attention to myself, amplified by the miniscule portions on my plate.

  12. TMI Alert.  So I looooove poop days.  I only have them every 4-5 days now, but when they come around I just feel so much better afterwards 😁

    Plus the 1+ lbs weight drop is always a nice bonus...

      You may want to talk to your team about this. Not good to go more than 3 days without bm. I suffer from chronic constipation and take 1 serving of miralax daily. It is gentle, safe and effective.

  13. I'm 5'1", and lost 7.4 lbs in week one post-op. (I actually lost more on week one of my pre-op diet: 8.8 lbs. Go figure)

    Hair loss

    I had a the sleeve. My hair started shedding at month 3. I had really long hair, and I felt like the weight of it emphasized the thinness at my scalp, so I chopped it all off and it looks so much better (i.e., fuller). I just passed my 5 month mark, and while I don't notice any further thinning, I don't notice any new growth yet either. I guess I'll just keep my hair short until it does start to grow back *crosses fingers*.

    #3 Learn Something New: Ok, so I'm tired of spending money on eyelash extensions. I love them, as I don't feel the need to wear any mascara or eyeliner when I have them on. I wake up in the morning and bat my eyelashes in the mirror and feel beeee-u-ti-fuI (everyone should try it at least once...I did and was hooked, and I only get the natural looking kind, not the thick "glamour" ones). Anyway, I am an eye-rubber so I tend to rub those babies off prematurely and have to get refills, so the $$$ adds up (the Kid, on the other hand, managed to have her first one last for almost 4 months - she is definitely NOT an eye-rubber). Anyhoo...so today, the something new I (actually the Kid and I) are going to learn is how to do lash lifts (i.e., lash perms) on my eyelashes with this kit I bought. I had lash lifts done before I was doing extensions, and the results are pretty good, not as good as extensions, but good enough; lifts are also less expensive than extensions. But...if I/we do it at home, its even cheaper! Cross your fingers that my lashes don't get fried. Or fall off. Or I go blind.

    #2 Start a Journal: Like @seaforest, I only tend to journal when I'm feeling sad or angsty. So gonna pass on this one. B-Side : Who still uses Protein supplements to get to the daily goal? Me! Me! I have a scoop of Dutch Chocolate Isopure Whey Protein powder with 400ml of water almost every day usually mid-afternoon.

    Dumping syndrome with VSG?

    I'm a sleever. I *think* I had dumping once (and once only!) after drinking some lemon soju back over Christmas. It came about 5-10 minutes after drinking it (wave of nausea, need to barf, then was in the washroom number-two-ing for about 30 minutes). Yuck. Didn't do that again.

    It's not just you...I only really drink hot water now; I may take sips of cold water if its in front of me, but I can't drink as much of it as I can when its hot.
  22. Went shopping today to buy new work out clothes because my current compression pants are more like jogging pants these days.  Soooo satisfying to reach for size smalls and have so much variety to choose from.  I love shopping again!

    Surgery: VSG (just a little over 5 months post op, still losing...) Starting weight: 146.4 Goals: Get to 135 lbs (which would mean a 100 lbs loss for me since October!) && increase strength training time/amount. Right now I do maybe 20-30 mins twice a week, I want to do more. #1 Something I'm proud of today: I am getting so much better at remembering the steps in Zumba. I didn't feel as stupid as I normally do this morning at class.

    omg i'm so looking forward to putting on a wetsuit and not having to choose from the men's selection because none of the womens' sizes fit me before.
