Wish I took more pictures on our road trip...this is all I got: 1st pic: what I wore to dinner last night, 2nd pic: what me and the Kid are wearing today (I realize now I seem to have a penchant for see-through shirts...why do I not notice the visibility of my bra when I'm getting dressed???)
  2. Nah, my carbs were on the relative high side (well, for me at least). I was between 75-100g each of the days. But I figured I was on vacation, so I threw caution to the wind (though I still stayed away from bread/rice/pasta/potatoes, I'm not that wild after all, lol)
  3. So just came back from my first mini-vacay since getting into maintenance.  I didn't have a food nor body scale, so I was winging it.  I estimated to have taken in well over 2000 calories for each of the 4 days we were road trippin'.  I was fully prepared to see a noticeable weight increase upon our return due to the higher volume and calorie rich foods I was eating.  Plus I didn't poop the entire time, so all the food is technically still in me, lol.

Imagine my surprise when I got on the scale this morning and it read 116.2 😲

The exact same weight I was the morning I left.  WTF?

yeah...sometimes I resort to child size clothing (*sigh*). I have several items in my closet that are hand-me-downs from my 13yr old 🙄

Ok, so I guess I wear alot of workout clothes! What I wore to Yoga this morning, which, btw, is the first time I’ve gone in almost 6 weeks! I can feel the stiffness that has set in from being away so long. Im shocked at the amount of effort I had to put in to hold some poses that were old hat to me. Not going to go this long without going again. Pinky swear.
  9. Another long term maintainer! Great to see what someone 8 years out eats in a day. What does your menu look like when you aren’t on the road?

Ok. Its time for an intervention. You really need to realize/internalize/bask-in-the-awesome-ness that you are NOT big anymore and do not need to wear the larger sizes. Your leggings are way too big for you...you aren't supposed to see wrinkled fabric gathers at your knees, nor have gapes at the ankle opening! You can skip the medium and go straight to small lady, maybe even extra-small. Your boobs in that sports bra, however, are fabulous.

    Drinking and eating same time

9 months out. I don't drink during nor at least 30 minutes after eating. I do, however, drink right up to the start of eating a meal.

I had a conversation about this with a pal the other day. We were talking about my planned arm lift later this year. She asked me why i felt the need to get it done, and that I should not care what anyone else thinks. I explained that I don’t care what anyone else thinks (Edit: I also care about what those near and dear to me think, like Mr and the Kid, but they think i’m awesome under all circumstances, so it’s all good ❤️), but I care alot about what I think. Like the sleeve surgery, I didn't do it for other people, I did it for me. I really dislike my flappy arms. Its a feature of my body that I try to camouflage, like an annoying pimple in the middle if my forehead. Now, Im not going to circle this pimple with a red sharpie, but I will probably put some concealer on it. Lol.

You look super slim in this outfit
  19. @FluffyChix, wow i didnt know the extent of your situation. Glad to hear/read that you are still your unflappable self in spite of it all. Sending good vibes your way...
  20. I think the moderation approach is a more sustainable for most long term. Though, I think I'm of the camp that believes this is approach is more appropriate AFTER the losing stage. You will have a unique opportunity to build good habits for life while you are in the position to lose the most weight with the least amount of effort. Clarification: I'm not saying it won't take any effort, just that this will be the one (short period of) time in your post-surgery life that the weight will just fly off.

Thanks ♥️ ...but the position of my arm is hiding my glorious batwing. And the loose skin on my stomach is much more prominent in real life. Though I'm relatively good with it for now. I mean, I did wear this outfit in PUBLIC. lol. I would never have dared do this before. I wouldn't have even walked around in something like this in the privacy of my own home.
  22. I dunno about #1 and #3, I don't see any obvious cause-effect of these in my experience. For #2 (not eating enough) I find the opposite is at play for me. The longer I don't eat, the less hungry I get. As for #4 (not sleeping enough), this I think rings true. I am hungrier the longer I am awake; also noticed that weight loss slowed down (or stopped altogether) when I didn't get enough sleep..possibly related to being hungrier therefore eating more?
  23. oooohhh...that dressing sounds yum, plus I have all those ingredients in my kitchen at the moment, so bonus! going to make this for my salad tomorrow . It's good to hear from people at all different stages! also...congrats on your weight loss, you are doing really well for 8 weeks post op ♥️
