    ❤JULY 2019 CHALLENGE❤

Day 23 Toned and Sleek Arm Challenges done. Also did a 7.5km walk/run this morning. ❌ I was just reading the goals I posted I would do this month and was reminded that I pledged to do some butt exercises every day this month...and I totally did not do any. Oopsies. So I guess I have to do some butt exercises now.... Smile: Here is my attempt of this on my salad. I clearly have too much time on my hands.

I have 2 each of the short and long leg lengths of these. They aren't technically high waisted, but I seem to have long-ish torso, so they end up high waisted on me....so if you are long torso-ed too, bonus! They don't so much squeeze you in (which makes them super comfortable to wear all day long), but more smooths everything out so you don't see panty-lines or little flab bumps. And they are relatively cheap https://www.jockey.com/catalog?department=women&category=underwear&style=slipshort

yeah, Canadians seem to want to complicate spelling, lol Tip: I only seem to find these at NO FRILLS or LOBLAWS grocery stores (despite what Google says). I like them also because they are sweetened with Stevia vs.. Sucralose.
  7. 5'2" Female Maintaining 8.5m post-op July 22: 388 calories, 30g carbs, 19.5g fat, 37.4g protein. Alrighty, so I knew I was going out to an all-you-can-eat (self-cooking) Korean BBQ for dinner tonite, so I basically saved my day's calories for this meal...which sort of backfired as I didn't eat as many calories as I anticipated I would. (All amounts are approximate as I didn't have a scale on me ) 1: coffee + stevia sweetener (2 cals) 2: 1 oz grilled shrimp + 1 oz grilled chicken + 2oz Kalbi (short ribs) + 1oz grilled pork loin + 1oz grilled pork belly + 1 tbsp kimchi + probably 2 tbsp of added sugar in the various meat marinades (386 cals) (btw, got all this food in over a 2.5hour period.)

Day 22 Toned and Sleek Arm Challenges done. Did not go out for my daily walk/run that I planned to do after dinner as it's raining pretty hard out right now...AND I've changed into my pj's so I'm done for the night. lol Orange: This is my latest thing-du-jour: Water enhancers. A good portion of my daily water quota has been sparkling water with a squirt of this stuff. I also have other flavours, but this one is my favourite.

whoa. you look super trim! (and it looks like you are shrinking out of your shorts )
  11. That's awesome for you and hubs Keep it up ♥️
  12. K, I'll go first. Will try keep this first post simple: 5'2" Female Maintaining 8.5m post-op 1: Coffee + stevia sweetener (2 cals) 2: Salad (greens, roasted red pepper, cucumber) + 2oz pork & beef burger + vinaigrette (230 cals) 3: Chia pudding + pumpkin seeds + almond butter (161 cals) 4: Salad (greens, avocado) + 1oz pork & beef burger, vinaigrette (285 cals) 5: 2oz grilled chicken + 1.5 oz steak (140 cals) This was what I ate yesterday. Today's menu is a protein shake and whatever I end up eating at a dinner date with friends tonite, and I don't know what that will end up being yet, lol) Also...this is what I would say is a lower-calorie day for me (the burger I was working on was crazy filling!)

    Calorie goal?

Are you drinking the pre-made ones? I find these to be too thick and too sweet. If you haven't already tried them, maybe get some powders instead and mix with water, I find they go down much better. My go-to concoction was (and still is 8.5 months later when I'm low on protein on any given day): 1 scoop Isopure Dutch Chocolate powder + 400 ml water + 2 tsp of decaf instant coffee + 2 tsp Benefibre + a few cubes of ice. I used to also use the Isopure Unflavoured Powder and mix/sprinkle it on different foods (don't use it so much anymore though). Yeah, I've read lots of posts where waters were more people's taste that the shakes. Good Luck! ♥️
  15. @GradyCat...meant to ask, I read on another thread you started the carnivore diet (I can't find the original thread, so am asking here): how are you doing on it so far? Are you liking it?
  16. Ok...so keeping my daily weight updated on here is getting tedious due to the the daily 0-3 lbs fluctuations.  Soooo...I figure I'm just going to update every 1-2 weeks moving forward.

LOL the joys of maintenance! ;) NOT!

Like @FluffyChix I updated at every new low, consequently I'm now listed as my lowest weight. I should probably update it to where I've been maintaining, which is +3 lbs or so from that weight.

Nah, keep your low and stay aware of your upper threshold so you don't hit it. :D ;)

    The Maintenance Thread

That's amazing. I'm so encouraged when I hear of long-term maintainers keeping the weight off years later ♥️ I'm also convinced and committed to weighing daily and food tracking for life. I really believe it leads to long term success (and you are a prime example). ♥️
  20. You are right, it wasn't about the food, its about the company. I probably went to eat with family and/or friends 2 weeks post op (as soon as I was no longer sore at all). I brought a protein shake with me and sipped on that. Actually, now that I think of it, I was going out during my pre-op liquid diet too, and toting along my protein powders and mixing bottle. It was weird/annoying at first, with people constantly commenting on me not eating or continually offering me food, but I got conditioned to get less annoyed.
  21. Ah, I am a spreadsheet addict and keeping track of my measurements (among other things) is one of the great joys in my life, lol. I am almost 9 months out and in maintenance. Here is an excerpt from an overly-complicated spreadsheet that I maintain. Body measurement day is every Wednesday so here are the stats from last week: Crazy.
