I'm not sure if I'm honeymooning still or not...my rapid weight loss is over, but I mean I am eating relatively "normally" now (read: more cals). If I eat beyond my calorie burn level I will gain weight, if I don't, I will lose... ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

Yesterday, Sat, Nov. 16 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 114.9 lbs ...Had Korean BBQ for dinner with the fam, #yum. ALL MEAT and VEG, all time! The one downside of going to Korean BBQ is that we leave the place smelling like meat, LOL. Also, despite the recent acknowledgement by @Meryline that ice cream is the DEVIL, I proceeded to have some anyway. I kept it to 1/4 cup, but the tiredness and the runs came for a visit anyway. 10:30pm - earl grey tea w/ stevia + coffee w/ stevia 1:30pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + 1 snack can Lemon Pepper tuna + 1 tbsp mayo + 1.7 oz apple + .5oz red onion 4:00pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + 1.4 oz apple + 1 oz manchego cheese 6:30pm to 9:30pm - Korean BBQ: 3 oz kimchee + 1 oz pickled cucumber + .3 oz bean sprouts + 1 tbsp radish kimchee + 1/4 cup grilled veggies + 4oz grilled chicken + 2 oz grilled pork + 2oz kalbi + 2 oz Bulgolgi + 1/3 oz pork belly + 1 grilled shrimp + probably about 2 tbsp of sugar in the various marinades 12:30pm - 1 KIND bar + 3 Toffifee candies + 1/4 cup Haagen-Dazs Coffee Ice Cream Totals: 1960 cals - 139g Protein - 83g NET carbs - 113g fat

Surgery Deets: 1 year Post-op SLEEVE, currently in Maintenance Weight and BMI: 114.4 lbs (BMI 20.9) >> as of this morning, November 17: 114.7 lbs, BMI 21 Personal goal(s) for the month: Stay smoke free. >> Its been 17 days since I called QUIT and I am proud to say I have stuck to it! Yay ME! Be mindful about being irritable to Mr & the Kid. >> So its been established that my irritation was directly related to the early days of quitting smoking. I have mellowed out again and am back to my relatively chill self. Mr & the Kid have confirmed this, LOL Run. EVERY. DAY. >> I missed one run day (Friday) due to having the most epic sleep-in. #noRegrets. I also cut one run short, but I did run, so it counts, so there!

Day 17: What about your job are you most grateful for? While I would not be adverse to not working at all (read: early retirement!), as far as jobs go, mine is not so very bad. I'm grateful that the flexibility of my work allows me to work from home, choose contracts and plan personal travel around it. I'm also grateful that Mr. has the same deal. It's a pretty sweet setup.

I tried it for pain about 2 days post op and the resulting coughing fit deterred me from further use (ouch!!!). i have partaken a handful of times since then and I find no difference in physical effects. Though surprisingly, I do not get the munchies anymore like I did pre-op (I was totally prepared to get them the first time after my unsuccessful pain-management attempt, so I had a giant bowl of salad prepared...ended up not needing it)

Am 5โ2โ -ish (just a bit under). My absolute max is 125. Im currently maintaining around 115-ish, but when I notice that Iโm inching upwards over consecutive days, I tend to buckle down abit (despite my max being 10 lbs away). Head games, I guess.

Made this for the Kidโs breakfast this morning...it was so pretty I had to take a picture of it AND take a bite as well. Broke my no-regular-bread-unless-on-vacay-rule...it was definitely #yum, but I probably would have been just as happy eating the avocado part sans the bread... Avocado Toast: 1 slice 12-grain bread + 3/4 an avocado + lime juice + onion salt + pepper + smoked paprika. *No nutritional info this time...I only ate 1 bite of this so am probably just gonna log 1/8 serving of some generic avocado toast entry in MFP. -
Yeah, I think alot of people think it takes up too much time and effort to log, and this becomes the leading reason why they donโt. Like you, it probably takes me less than 5 minutes total per day to put everything into MFP. ...But then again, I actually love logging, so thereโs that, lol.

Ice cream is my nemesis as well. I know that I will dump if I eat more than 1/4 cup, but I tell myself its ok every single time. Spoiler Alert: its not. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

I was never a person with a sweet tooth (I preferred salty things more), but now I find that I more easily gravitate towards the sweet stuff. However, this only seemed to happen when I introduced sweetness into my diet. During weight loss phase I was still pretty ambivalent towards dessert, but since going into maintenance and allowing myself some, I actually think I want it more. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

I went out to a restaurant at just under 4 weeks (it was my mother-in-law's 75th bday so I couldn't bow out). I ordered fois gras (ate about 1 tbsp of it) and a butternut squash soup (had maybe 3-4 spoonfuls). My leftovers were finished off by the Kid. P.S. I also had my first post-op glass of wine (a very dry red)...I drank maybe 1/4 of the glass. It felt weird going down (like I could feel it traveling down my intestines or something), but was otherwise uneventful.

Day 15: What about your body are you most grateful for? the fact that it is 120lbs smaller than it was last year. the fact that it can move, run, dance, jump (do cardio ๐), etc. with ease and for extended periods of time. the fact that it no longer requires any medicine/drugs to run at peak efficiency. the fact that it looks awesome in clothes (yes, I'm so full of myself its disgusting, was thinking this would wear off eventually as I got used to the bod, but doesn't seem to have an end in sight...YET)

Yesterday, Thu, Nov. 14 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 115.6 lbs ...seriously felt like I was eating all day long...then had a major dessert and snack binge in the evening while watching movies with the fam. The problem was that all the snacks were laid out on the ottomans in front of me and I just kept mindlessly picking at the spread for like 3 hours. Key word being: MINDLESSLY. 9:30am - coffee w/ stevia 12:00pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + 1/2 an avocado + 6 oz grilled chicken 3:00pm - .5 oz chicharron + 1.5 oz beef jerky + 1 Keto choco-coconut Fat Bomb + 3/4 of a KIND nut bar 6:00pm - Avocado Toast (1/4 avocado + salt + pepper + garlic powder + 1/2 slice Keto bread) + 1.5 oz mangoes + 1 KIND nut bar 8:30pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + carrots + 1.2 oz gala apple + 1 snack can of lemon pepper tuna + 1 tbsp mayo + 1/2 cup tofu pudding 9:00pm to 12:30pm - 5 peanut candies + 3oz apple + 1 oz cheese + 2.5 oz beef jerky + 1.5 oz dried mangoes Totals: 2566 cals - 165g Protein - 179g NET carbs - 116g fat

GreenT, I've seen your food before and after pictures, you barely eat much as a matured VSG-er...you must have eaten next to nothing during your weight loss phase!
-
Oh, I do feel hungry. But its a little different now. I don't have that ravenous-empty-stomach-starving-feeling anymore. Like you say, I just have a desire or want to eat (but its much easier to ignore or just turn it off now). There isn't that feeling of need or compulsion like pre-op, you know what I mean? So there are still days when I have no preference whether I eat or not, or have an actual "food-aversion" day when I DO NOT want to eat anything at all. These are coming fewer and further between though. But I'm only a year out...I am going to assume that this current state of being will change.

Heading out to.......SHOVEL SNOW. Fun Fact: It's laundry day and everything I've got on - boots included - I got from the Kid's closet (except the underwear, socks and watch). Shhhh...don't tell her.
