    🍂 Nov 2019 Challenge🍂

We already had our Thanksgiving last month, and you know what? I didn't even have any stuffing, and it is historically hands down my favourite thanksgiving menu item!! I miss my aunt's stuffing which had turkey innard bits in it. Note to self: find a low-carb stuffing recipe...

Ok, Ok, Ok, my photo-taking method is using the "Markup" feature on iPhone Photos to add two white rectangles on each side of my mirror in the picture to hide the mess behind me...makes for a cleaner looking picture. LOLOLzz P.S. Thanks for the nice words, but you are making my head swell to epic proportions...I'm already unbearable as it is.

    Daily Menus for Maintenance

Today, Mon, Nov. 18 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 114.5 lbs ...found my super-filler-food: JERK PORK. Holy cow, it took me over an hour to finish just 3.5 oz of it alone, and at the time of this writing it has been over 3.5 hours since I ate it and I am still pretty filled. I am DONE eating for today..I can tell if I eat anything else I'm going to hurl. I'm ending today with waaaaay too few cals though. There are still lots of jerk pork leftovers in the fridge, I'm probably going to have to stick to eating 1 oz portions at time. 10:30am - earl grey tea w/ stevia + coffee w/ stevia 1:30pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + 1.5 oz apple + 1/2 an avocado + 1 cherry tomato + 1/2 tbsp bacon crumble + 4 oz grilled chicken + 1 tsp crunchy chili oil 4:00pm - 3.5 oz jerk pork Totals: 581 cals - 52g Protein - 23g NET carbs - 29g fat

No, this was never an issue for me (luckily). Going out/parties/get-togethers/holidays and all the food associated with it didn't affect me thank goodness. In the beginning, I was just glad to be around friends and family with my water bottle and packed food, thank goodness...I would have hated staying home just to avoid food-related events (read: everything).
  5. That looks like it came from a restaurant kitchen! #yum

    3 Year Sleeve Anniversary

I'm sorry this stung. I recently showed a side-by-side "Before & After" picture of myself to a good friend of mine. We were both the fat ones in our circle of friends up until I got my surgery and lost the weight. I know she is happy for me for my weight loss, but I also know that seeing me makes her feel bad for being left behind, of sorts. So when I proudly showed my B&A pic to our group of friends over dinner one night, she started to cry. I felt horrible. Our never-fat friends very low-key chastised her in a joking way for making my story about her and taking away from my "moment". A couple of them told me later (separately) that my friend shouldn't have done that and that I should not feel bad about or feel the need to hide my successes. But I get it (a little too late, but at least it was got eventually). Seeing that picture was a reminder that she is the "Before" picture, something that we strive to NOT be. That must of made her feel pretty sh*tty. Now, I won't minimize myself to make others feel better, but going forward, I hope to be more mindful and speak/behave with a little more sensitivity. She is still my pal after all. ❤️

Day 18: What trait do you have that you are most grateful for? My one-track mindedness (although this could also be my downfall). I know that once I decide on a course of action, I have the ability to get in the zone and tunnel-vision my way through. ...now if only I could gain the trait to make definitive decisions on demand...

Has Mr. F lost alot of weight doing ADF previously? (It's pretty awesome he does this with you...my Mr. eats a crapton and would never survive (although he is super fit so I guess he needs said crapton).) Does he do TRE with you as well? I see your protein at 80-igh grams (which I thought is a relatively normal-ish level for wls peeps?)...what is your "normal level"?

Client site today, not looking forward to braving the roads to get there though...the roads are SLICK. As an aside, I haven't really lost any significant weight lately but I am finding that some of my clothes are looking big-ish on me, no?. Picture below case in point. Even my beloved boots are looking droopy.... Solution: more SHOPPING.

    Daily Menus for Maintenance

Yesterday, Sun, Nov. 17 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 114.9 lbs ...went out for dinner (and a later coffee, drinks & dessert) with some friends of ours tonight/last night. I now have a new salad dressing I love and its a creamy one! I ordered a “Keto Cobb Salad” and it came with “Keto Green Goddess” dressing. It was #yum. With the exception of blue cheese, I normally don't like creamy salad dressings. But this one was great...I think because it was more sour-creamy and lighter tasting than what I think creamy dressings are like. I googled the recipe and will totally make a batch soon #doubleYum 9:00am - earl grey tea w/ stevia 1:30pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + 2.5 oz apple + .75 oz red onion + 1/2 an avocado + 3 oz grilled chicken 7:00-9:00pm - 2/3 of a Keto Cobb Salad (romaine + 3 cherry tomatoes + 1 slice bacon + 1 tbsp blue cheese crumble + cucumber + 1 egg + 1/2 an avocado + 3 oz grilled chicken + 2 tbsp Keto Green Goddess Dressing) + Charcuterie Stuff (3 oz brie + 3 slices salami + 1 slice prosciutto + 3 tbsp fig jam + 1 tbsp honey mustard + 3 gherkins + 1/2 glass red wine 10:00pm to 1:00am - 1.5 glasses red wine + 1 skinny mojito + 2 tequila + 1/4 slice apple crumble pie + 2 americanos w/ stevia Totals: 2137 cals - 66g Protein - 99g NET carbs - 104g fat
  15. *hangs head* I don't have one of these either.
  16. P.S. @FluffyChix...is that a MUG WARMER ?!?!!?!?
  17. If I didn't already have a ginormous salad on my lap right now that I'm working on (we are watching TV!) I would totally make that, dash waffle maker or not! Seriously, that looks effing delicious.

    The Maintenance Thread

I'm not sure if I'm honeymooning still or not...my rapid weight loss is over, but I mean I am eating relatively "normally" now (read: more cals). If I eat beyond my calorie burn level I will gain weight, if I don't, I will lose... 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Daily Menus for Maintenance

Yesterday, Sat, Nov. 16 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 114.9 lbs ...Had Korean BBQ for dinner with the fam, #yum. ALL MEAT and VEG, all time! The one downside of going to Korean BBQ is that we leave the place smelling like meat, LOL. Also, despite the recent acknowledgement by @Meryline that ice cream is the DEVIL, I proceeded to have some anyway. I kept it to 1/4 cup, but the tiredness and the runs came for a visit anyway. 10:30pm - earl grey tea w/ stevia + coffee w/ stevia 1:30pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + 1 snack can Lemon Pepper tuna + 1 tbsp mayo + 1.7 oz apple + .5oz red onion 4:00pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + 1.4 oz apple + 1 oz manchego cheese 6:30pm to 9:30pm - Korean BBQ: 3 oz kimchee + 1 oz pickled cucumber + .3 oz bean sprouts + 1 tbsp radish kimchee + 1/4 cup grilled veggies + 4oz grilled chicken + 2 oz grilled pork + 2oz kalbi + 2 oz Bulgolgi + 1/3 oz pork belly + 1 grilled shrimp + probably about 2 tbsp of sugar in the various marinades 12:30pm - 1 KIND bar + 3 Toffifee candies + 1/4 cup Haagen-Dazs Coffee Ice Cream Totals: 1960 cals - 139g Protein - 83g NET carbs - 113g fat

Day 17: What about your job are you most grateful for? While I would not be adverse to not working at all (read: early retirement!), as far as jobs go, mine is not so very bad. I'm grateful that the flexibility of my work allows me to work from home, choose contracts and plan personal travel around it. I'm also grateful that Mr. has the same deal. It's a pretty sweet setup.

    "herbal" therapy

I tried it for pain about 2 days post op and the resulting coughing fit deterred me from further use (ouch!!!). i have partaken a handful of times since then and I find no difference in physical effects. Though surprisingly, I do not get the munchies anymore like I did pre-op (I was totally prepared to get them the first time after my unsuccessful pain-management attempt, so I had a giant bowl of salad prepared...ended up not needing it)

    Highest weight

Am 5’2” -ish (just a bit under). My absolute max is 125. Im currently maintaining around 115-ish, but when I notice that I’m inching upwards over consecutive days, I tend to buckle down abit (despite my max being 10 lbs away). Head games, I guess.
  25. I am still Dash waffle-maker-less...will get around to picking one up soon
