  4. Ok, I changed my mind about using the silicone tape right now. I did a bit of reading (both online and the literature in the box of silicone sheets) and decided it's still a little early for me to put them on my incisions. I've still got sections that are scabbed over or freshly un-scabbed (very light pink skin that looks like it needs to heal a bit more) so am going to wait unitl I see my surgeon again at my in 2 wks, or when my scabs & pink skin are gone, whichever come first. On another note, after my shower, I decided to do my hair for like the first time since surgery, meaning I put product in it, blow dried it and used a flat iron (for the past 3+ weeks I've just been air drying and brushing to the side). And surprise, surprise, my arms felt loose and un-achy. So today's lesson is that I need to raise my arms more and not baby them like I've been doing so much lately and I will feel better 🙄 And on another, another note, I went for a 5.5km walk this morning and thought I would try to run the last kilometre. Wasn't the best run as I was wearing winter boots and they aren't very bendy, and I was being light-footed because it was icy (so it felt more like dancing than running, lol), but I was glad to be able to run even just a little and get my heart pumping. Also I really like running with the abdominal binder on, makes my core feel strong....

    wth? lolololzzz. p.s. you may want to learn how to tailor your clothes (or hire someone who does, lol). women with your assets and tiny waist will always have issues with off the rack clothing! Your too big clothing (in areas) is hiding way too much of your wicked bod.

  8. Over the holidays, I saw relatives who haven't seen me since the summer. I got "Oh look, you are still skinny." or "Good for you for not gaining weight again", and them offering me some cake. These are the gossipy aunts and cousins who I generally put invisible armour on whenever I'm around them. You know, the types who shoot out poison arrows disguised as innocent remarks. They've been doing this to everyone about everything for as long as I can remember. They don't even know about my surgery, but I know they are just waiting for me to gain the weight back. Insecure people feel better about themselves when they compare themselves to others, do their mental math and determine they measure out on top. And if their math tells them they are NOT on top, they will do/say/think what they can to make it so (or at the very least, justify it). I figure they need do this to get through the day, so whatevs. Let them do what they need to do to get by. I know I'm awesome.

    Yesterday, Sunday, Jan. 12 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 114.9 lbs ---------------------------------------- Highlight of my day yesterday was going Costo shopping to stock up on salad greens and chicken breasts. Weather sux here at the moment, so no outdoor walks. I've been feeling achy all over lately and as a result spent most of the day (again) on the couch or taking naps (I may be coming down with something?). Did I tell you that I totally binge watched "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan" this weekend?   12. After my shower today, I'm going to put mine on too. I dunno, ever since they took my steri-strips off, my arms have been feeling achy and painful along the incisions. And to a lesser extent, my tummy incisions. I'm not sure if it's just coincidence or not...as I started massaging in earnest at the same time too.

Bare boobs are like 18+, so I tried to de-XXX it by putting a little censoring flower-sticker on the image...BUT it hides what I think is the best part of it (the perky tip!, lol). Soooo...I instead put a cartoon filter on it, so it looks less real and more like an "artist's rendition". Hopefully this is not offensive to anyone. If it is, please let me know and I will remove it. Anyhoo...I was going to include a link to the photo here, but it shows a preview, and I don't want to surprise anyone coming to this thread with a gratuitous boob shot. So if you want to take a look: go to my Profile (ms.sss) go to Albums and you can see it in the album titled "ms.sss PS pics (xxx)" Image Caption: Notice the flat, saggy, spread-to-the-sides-of-my-body pancake-y shape of the BEFORE boob with flat wrinkly nipple VS the perky, gravity-defying 16-yrs old-ish AFTER boob w/ stand-at-attention-nipples, LOL. The line you see under the AFTER boob is not a skin-wrinkle nor fold, its my incision line, so It sorta makes it look like its resting on my torso, but in the real life picture, you would be able to see that its staying up there all on its own.
  16. They are definitely slimy, LOL. You need to rinse them really well (Warning: they smell fishy straight out of the package). FluffyChix long ago gave a tip to fry em up in a dry hot pan to remove alot of the moisture. It really helps, and gets rid of more of the smell. They are more like soup noodles than regular pasta noodles and have no actual taste by themselves...they pick up the flavour of what you add to them. ...and they are SUPER filling (well, for me at least).

  18. I believe they are the same, just different shapes. This is the one I have (they are technically called "sheets" but are long and thin (see pic below) P.S. I wanted to get the one that you have (the one that starts with a "c", i forget the name...) but they don't sell it here and are pretty expensive to buy online on this side of the border )

  20. I mentioned earlier that Doc's PA told me to wait to put the silicone tape on. I googled this after reading your post and google seems to say to put it on ASAP on "immature scars". I think I'm going to put my tape on now and not wait until another 3 weeks as suggested by the PA. They were going to give me a supply of tape at my next appointment (in 3 weeks) but I have a stash of my own, so.... I find that my incisions on my left arm have been feeling prickly and itchy and low-key sore since they took my steri-strips off and I'm thinking the silicone tape me provide some relief..?
  21. I found the same thing with me after my breast reduction years and years ago. I have maybe like 10 very fine hairs in each armpit. I don't know if this arm lift will get rid of those last few hairs for good, but I totally wouldn't mind at all if it did

    Yesterday, Friday, Jan. 10 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 115.4 lbs ---------------------------------------- Purposefully ate little during the day as we had planned to go out for dinner at one of my fave french restaurants. Sadly, for various unremarkable reasons, we ended up at an Italian restaurant, which was ok, but I was looking forward to something else, so it was kinda a letdown. I ended up drinking more than I ate. Stopped for a little ice cream on the way home and rewarded with a gurgly stomach for an hour or so. ---------------------------------------- 9:00am - 1/2 black coffee w/ stevia 12:00pm - Salted Caramel Coffee/Tea Latte (leftover coffee + green tea bag + almond milk + sugar free salted caramel syrup) 1:30pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + carrots + 1 oz apple + shirataki noodles + 2 fl oz homemade meat sauce 5:30pm to 9:00pm - 1 coconut amaretto sour (YUM!!!) 3 glasses red wine 1 gin & soda water 2 tbsp spinach & artichoke dip w/ 5 KETO bagel chips (I had some in my purse, lol, I brought them cuz I planned on ordering foie gras at the french restaurant...) ~1 oz fresh mozzarella w/ hazelnut balsamic glaze (barely) 1/4 cup spinach salad w/ pickled beets, goat cheese, pear, toasted almonds, lemon honey dressing 1 bite of grilled salmon (~ 1/2 oz) 1/4 cup salted almond marzipan ice cream 11:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + 1 oz apple + 1 fl oz pumpkin seeds + 1 oz cashews + 1 oz white cheddar + 1 slice proscuitto ---------------------------------------- Totals: 1909 cals - 60g Protein - 128g NET carbs - 91g fat
