  1. If you like you can post a couple days worth of EVERYTHING you eat/drink in a day and the many folks on here can help you troubleshoot... (It's difficult at best to chime in with food advice if we don't know EXACTLY what you are eating)

    Daily Menus for Maintenance

Yesterday Sunday, Jan 19 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 118.2 lbs ---------------------------------------- Ooopsies...je pense que all the calories & carbs & late night eating I've been doing the past week coupled with lack of exericse is catching up to me (I haven't done a stick of exercise - minus the snow shovelling the other day - since Wendesday due to crappy weather, so that is 4 days straight of sedentary behaviour!! Sacrilege!!) While I tell myself that 120 is my upper limit of my happy place, in reality I start to say "Heeeyyyyyyy...." at around 117. Sooo...gonna try to reign it in a little and get down to sub-117. Note however, that I haven't pooped since Wednesday AND I have slept maybe avg 4-5 hours a night for the past week or so, AND I'm just finishing up with my period, so these are all likely additional contributors to the uptick in weight, so I'm not THAT concerned...BUT concerned ENOUGH, I guess, to make an effort to deal with it. On another note, I wonder if the no-exercise/no-poop is coincidence? No exercise == No poop?? ---------------------------------------- 9:30pm - 1 skinny tea latte 12:30pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + green bell peppers + 6 green grapes + 2 shrimps + 1oz cashews + 3 oz pan fried chicken + 2 oz peameal bacon + 1 tsp horseradish mustard 3:00pm - 1 skinny tea latte + 1 oz peameal bacon + 4 seed crackers + 1 After Eight chocolate mint wafer + 2 oz dark chocolate 6:30pm - 4 naked chicken wings w/ 1 tbsp hot sauce + 2 carrot sticks w/ 1 tbsp blue cheese dressing + 4 sweet potato fries w/ 1/2 tbsp chipotle mayo + 1 vodka caesar + 4 ginger molasses cookies 10:00 pm - 8 seed crackers + 1 can smoked oysters + 1 tbsp tangy seafood sauce + 1 tbsp raspberry jam + 1 tbsp nutella + 2oz dark chocolate + 2 skinny tea lattes ---------------------------------------- Totals: 2664 cals - 117g Protein - 270g NET carbs - 115g fat
  3. No, he didn't use glue. If I run my hands along my TT line, I can feel the fishing wire bits sticking out at the ends of my TT line, and a teeny tiny bit sticking out above my pubes...but I can't actually any pain from them like my arms and boobs (again, prob because of the numbness ) I know everyone heals differently, but: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! 😫😫😫😫😫
  4. ...So I went down the research rabbit hole RE: scar maintenance and learned about tattooing as and option for scar fading. Basically the tattoo artist would tat over the scars with ink that matches your skin tone. Though I suppose it would become more noticeable if/when you get a tan? ...interesting option, though...

Yesterday Saturday, Jan 18 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 116.1 lbs ---------------------------------------- Winter weather ended up getting a party cancelled last night that we were supposed to go to, BOO. We stayed home and had our dinner and drinks in front of TV watching Independence Day: Resurgence instead #thisMovieWasReallyBad Then we put our laziness on in full force and brought out pantry snacks in front of said TV and ate mindlessly #iKnewExactlyWhatIwasDoing Then just after midnight we went out to go shovel the driveway for like an hour and a half so there #amSickOfAllThisSnow ---------------------------------------- 9:30am - 1 skinny tea latte 12:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + carrots + 6 green grapes + 2 tsp crunchy chili oil + 3.5 oz pan fried chicken + 2 oz meatloaf + 1/2 oz anchovies 3:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + 6 green grapes + 1.5 oz green bell pepper + 2.5 oz avocado + 1/2 fl oz pumpkin seeds 6:30pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + 4.5 oz pan fried chicken + 1 tsp crunchy chili oil 8:00pm - 12:00am 1/2 cup cashews 1/2 oz candied ginger 2 oz banana chips 7 seed crackers + 1 tbsp seedless raspberry jam 1 slice provolone cheese 2 oz dark chocolate 2 skinny amaretto sours 2 skinny tea lattes ---------------------------------------- Totals: 1829 cals - 90g Protein - 152g NET carbs - 77g fat
  8. * Light Bulb Moment * : I think I've found a reason for the increasing number of areas that are feeling soreness when there wasn't before: Its the effing sutures. The areas where they start protruding through the skin are the areas where these new pains are coming from. I'm feeling these aches and pains in both my armpits now, as well as my left boob & nipple, and both my side boobs. ARRRRRGGGGG. On the bright side (if I HAD to see a bright side), I feel nothing along my TT incision, and I suspect this is because I feel very little (if anything) along the line due to numbness. I only have sensation around like half a cm above and below it, but not along it.

    🎈 Pity Party🎈

Yep, the black is my bra and the nude is my arm compression garment. I sorta wish they were both MORE restrictive as I find them a little too loose for my liking. My mom tailored the arm garment for me to make the sleeves smaller, but the rest of it is still too big and results in me constantly pulling up the shoulders cuz they keep slipping off. I think I'm going to have to revise my de-swell goal date to July as well. I was hoping to be all bikini ready by April for vacay , but thinking that's gonna happen
  15. I honestly don't know if the compression gear helps with the swelling. I have a (non-verifiable) suspicion it just moves the swelling to another part of the body. With that said, I think I may have developed a sort of masochistic affection for my compression gear. I'm finding I prefer to have them on than not, despite the pain/discomfort they give me.
  16. Ah, ok. The one I have is re-usable in the sense that it is washable and then can be reapplied for up to 3 weeks.

    Protein

I consistently hit my protein goals. I still lost A LOT of hair. Started around 2-3 months post op and kept on going until month 7 or 8. It was very annoying. On the bright side, I got to cut off all my hair into a cute pixie cut. I am now almost 15 months post of and its almost all back to normal. I can see all these new hairs growing all over the place that are almost as long as my regular hair. Now, my hair is still on the short side, so that helps, and my hair was already on the thin for years anyway... It sucks, but barring any major issues, your hair will go back to what it was pre-op. Eventually. Good Luck!
  18. ** Semi-long post Alert ** OK, so I was prescribed a PPI for 6 months and I was happy as a clam. After the 6 months, I stopped cold turkey and had foamies, burning throat, and the occasional spit up at night. I did this for about 3 weeks, and asked my doc to be put back on my PPI, and all was good again. At around the 10 moth post op mark, I did some research and spoke to my doc about weaning off it again. Both my research and my doc said that doing it gradually is key and to not give up and go back to full dosage as I'd have to start all over again. I started with taking my 30mg pill every other day, for about 1 week, and I basically got the symptoms every other day for a month. So I went back to full dosage and tried again. Here is what I did/am doing/will do and so far it has been more bearable and seems to be working... Alternating days of 30mg and 15mg (half dosage) for a month 30mg every other day for a month 15mg every other day for a month << this is where I am at now and and so far so good. Come February, I plan on going to 15mg every 3 days, supplementing with a Zantac of other acid-reducer as needed. After a month of this I'm hoping I will be off the PPI altogether and maintain with Zantac. ...I could probably make this easier on myself if I cut out spicy foods and coffee, but I'm not willing to do that yet. 😡 ** BUT LIKE THE OTHERS HAVE SAID, TALK TO YOUR DOC AND COME UP WITH A PLAN TOGETHER **

I think we are at the same party. Meet me at the bar. I had a flatter stomach and smaller thighs BEFORE this tummy tuck, sigh. My pants are tight, sigh. My right boob looks bigger than my left at the moment, sigh. I have resorted to stuffing my compression garment and armpits with ice packs, cuz my boobs and armpit incisions have started to ache lately, sigh.

    Daily Menus for Maintenance

Yesterday Friday, Jan 17 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 115.2 lbs ---------------------------------------- Another unplanned extended stay at BFF's place. We dropped by to return a borrowed kitchen appliance and intended to stay for some coffee and snacks, but ended up staying for drinks and poker. The resulting indulgence puts a damper on my weekend plans as we have a small party to go to tonite which I had previously allocated for drinking and dessert-eating. I guess my pants are getting tighter this weekend... ---------------------------------------- 9:30am - 1 black coffee w/ stevia + 1 skinny tea latte 1:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + carrots + 6 green grapes + 2 slices bacon + 1/4 cup tuna salad (tuna, mayo, celery, red ohion) + 1.5 tsp crunchy chili oil 3:00pm - 1 skinny tea latte + 1 Pure Protein Chewy Chocolate Protein Bar 6:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + carrots + 6 green grapes + 1/4 cup tuna salad (tuna, mayo, celery, red ohion) + 1.5 tsp crunchy chili oil + 1/2 cup cottage cheese + 1 oz blueberries + 1/2 fl oz pumpkin seeds 7:00pm to 2:00am - 2 oz garlic peanuts 3 oz spicy cashews 2 oz candied pecans 2 oz assorted cheese 2 oz assorted cured meats 1 oz KETO flax crackers 1 oz banana chips 3 oz dark chocolate 2 glasses red wine 4 tequilas ---------------------------------------- Totals: 3018 cals - 150g Protein - 218g NET carbs - 162g fat
  24. HBD @MarvelGirl25 !! Your dinner looked delish ❤️, considering all the yumminess you were presented throughout the day, I'm pretty impressed you kept it at 1500!! P.S. Someday...in an alternate universe, I will convince you to take me out to dinner to all these great places you go to for like a month straight.
  25. ** Irrational Vent Alert ** So, am gonna be 1 month post op tomorrow and figured it was a good time to frustrate and annoy myself by taking out the measuring tape that I'm supposed to be leaving in the drawer. I mean I've been in a good mood for too long, right? Geez. 🙄 The two areas that have been the bane of my existence since PS are my waist and upper thighs. And measuring them this morning fed (irrational) fuel to the fire. My waist continues to be bigger than pre-op. While it has de-swelled by 4 inches since the highest measurement, it continues to be bigger than pre-op and won't allow me to button up my pants comfortably. I am sick of wearing leggings and joggers, with a special hatred of the leggings due to my swollen abdomen poking out giving me a pregnant look from the side....which gets worse when I have food in my stomach. And my effing thighs are getting BIGGER. I measured +1" a week after surgery, and this morning its up another inch. WTF. I am telling myself its because my swelling is moving downwards. That makes sense, right????? Though I think the TT itself may be partly the cause of the initial increase in size: perhaps the thigh "meatiness" moved up as a result of the yank and is now concentrated higher, which makes me think this is not completely a temporary thing. Arg. Anyhoo, @mousecat88, @sillykitty, @okayestmom... how are you finding the progress of the de-swelling in your stomachs? Have you noticed any thigh changes? On another note, have you purposefully adjusted your salt intake during recovery? (am thinking of doing this, but I heart salt...) ...and @catwoman7 : how far along were you when your swelling completely went away? Did you also notice any thigh changes?
