@shanza ... did you lose weight since your last postings? you look supermodel tall and slim in this pic! P.S...I have been guilty of leaving the door open when I'm in washroom too...now I think I will make sure to close it every single time...LOLOLOLOLOLzzzzz
  2. Funny, when I read the original post, it totally looked like those were the ingredients based on the picture. Though taking a second look, I see that first pic had the title of your mcMuffinless...lol

    🎈 Pity Party🎈

Ok, I know this is a pity party, and we are not looking for solutions, just a place to vent, but the fixer in me can't help it: I have a home machine that I regularly check my BP on. And whenever I go to a drugstore or supermarket, I go test myself at those BP machines they have (I actually love them like kids like those old coin operated rides, lol). Anyhoo, I notice that whenever I get my blood pressure taken with a doc/nurse/technician in some "professional" setting, more often than not, the BP higher than when I take elsewhere. My doc attributes this to nerves, and will often take a second reading at the end of the appt, which, more often than not, will be lower than the first reading.
  4. @Stella S ...been wondering about the thigh lift...are your scars visible when you are standing "normally"? How about when you cross your legs?
  5. @rs, should've just followed your lead a week ago! I put the silicone tape on tonite and my achiness/soreness on my incisions seems to have gotten exponentially better. I feel soooooo much better all taped up again. I'm going to have to go out and buy more of this stuff in bulk now. I want to wear them forever.
  6. To me too! Those pictures look like they are of two totally different people. Congrats on looking, and more importantly, FEELING awesome, right??? 😍

  9. If you like you can post a couple days worth of EVERYTHING you eat/drink in a day and the many folks on here can help you troubleshoot... (It's difficult at best to chime in with food advice if we don't know EXACTLY what you are eating)

    Daily Menus for Maintenance

Yesterday Sunday, Jan 19 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 118.2 lbs ---------------------------------------- Ooopsies...je pense que all the calories & carbs & late night eating I've been doing the past week coupled with lack of exericse is catching up to me (I haven't done a stick of exercise - minus the snow shovelling the other day - since Wendesday due to crappy weather, so that is 4 days straight of sedentary behaviour!! Sacrilege!!) While I tell myself that 120 is my upper limit of my happy place, in reality I start to say "Heeeyyyyyyy...." at around 117. Sooo...gonna try to reign it in a little and get down to sub-117. Note however, that I haven't pooped since Wednesday AND I have slept maybe avg 4-5 hours a night for the past week or so, AND I'm just finishing up with my period, so these are all likely additional contributors to the uptick in weight, so I'm not THAT concerned...BUT concerned ENOUGH, I guess, to make an effort to deal with it. On another note, I wonder if the no-exercise/no-poop is coincidence? No exercise == No poop?? ---------------------------------------- 9:30pm - 1 skinny tea latte 12:30pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + green bell peppers + 6 green grapes + 2 shrimps + 1oz cashews + 3 oz pan fried chicken + 2 oz peameal bacon + 1 tsp horseradish mustard 3:00pm - 1 skinny tea latte + 1 oz peameal bacon + 4 seed crackers + 1 After Eight chocolate mint wafer + 2 oz dark chocolate 6:30pm - 4 naked chicken wings w/ 1 tbsp hot sauce + 2 carrot sticks w/ 1 tbsp blue cheese dressing + 4 sweet potato fries w/ 1/2 tbsp chipotle mayo + 1 vodka caesar + 4 ginger molasses cookies 10:00 pm - 8 seed crackers + 1 can smoked oysters + 1 tbsp tangy seafood sauce + 1 tbsp raspberry jam + 1 tbsp nutella + 2oz dark chocolate + 2 skinny tea lattes ---------------------------------------- Totals: 2664 cals - 117g Protein - 270g NET carbs - 115g fat
  11. No, he didn't use glue. If I run my hands along my TT line, I can feel the fishing wire bits sticking out at the ends of my TT line, and a teeny tiny bit sticking out above my pubes...but I can't actually any pain from them like my arms and boobs (again, prob because of the numbness ) I know everyone heals differently, but: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! 😫😫😫😫😫
  12. ...So I went down the research rabbit hole RE: scar maintenance and learned about tattooing as and option for scar fading. Basically the tattoo artist would tat over the scars with ink that matches your skin tone. Though I suppose it would become more noticeable if/when you get a tan? ...interesting option, though...

Yesterday Saturday, Jan 18 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 116.1 lbs ---------------------------------------- Winter weather ended up getting a party cancelled last night that we were supposed to go to, BOO. 16. * Light Bulb Moment * : I think I've found a reason for the increasing number of areas that are feeling soreness when there wasn't before: Its the effing sutures. The areas where they start protruding through the skin are the areas where these new pains are coming from. I'm feeling these aches and pains in both my armpits now, as well as my left boob & nipple, and both my side boobs. ARRRRRGGGGG. On the bright side (if I HAD to see a bright side), I feel nothing along my TT incision, and I suspect this is because I feel very little (if anything) along the line due to numbness. I only have sensation around like half a cm above and below it, but not along it.

    🎈 Pity Party🎈

Yep, the black is my bra and the nude is my arm compression garment. I sorta wish they were both MORE restrictive as I find them a little too loose for my liking. My mom tailored the arm garment for me to make the sleeves smaller, but the rest of it is still too big and results in me constantly pulling up the shoulders cuz they keep slipping off. I think I'm going to have to revise my de-swell goal date to July as well. I was hoping to be all bikini ready by April for vacay , but thinking that's gonna happen
  23. I honestly don't know if the compression gear helps with the swelling. I have a (non-verifiable) suspicion it just moves the swelling to another part of the body. With that said, I think I may have developed a sort of masochistic affection for my compression gear. I'm finding I prefer to have them on than not, despite the pain/discomfort they give me.
  24. Ah, ok. The one I have is re-usable in the sense that it is washable and then can be reapplied for up to 3 weeks.

    Protein

I consistently hit my protein goals. I still lost A LOT of hair. Started around 2-3 months post op and kept on going until month 7 or 8. It was very annoying. On the bright side, I got to cut off all my hair into a cute pixie cut. I am now almost 15 months post of and its almost all back to normal. I can see all these new hairs growing all over the place that are almost as long as my regular hair. Now, my hair is still on the short side, so that helps, and my hair was already on the thin for years anyway... It sucks, but barring any major issues, your hair will go back to what it was pre-op. Eventually. Good Luck!
