You look taller than usual in this pic...love 'em boots. Also, is white the best choice to do painting restorations in, LOL?

@mousecat88 gets all the blame for this (or the credit, lol)

I've generally been feeling good, and in anticipation of getting cleared for free-reign exercise this afternoon at my 6 wk PS post op appt, I put on my running shoes (not boots this time) and a nice solid sports bra for a real RUN around the neighbourhood for the first time in a looooooooong time. Result: Running Fail. I barely did 2km and had to stop cuz my boobs started to ache again. Dammit. It's been about 30 mins since that stupid run and my boobs still hurt. What was I thinking. Geez.

4 weeks post RNY today
ms.sss replied to loridee11's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Excellent! Way not to panic with the weight "stability"! Keeping your head on straight and things in perspective will take you far, and will make this journey so much more enjoyable (or at the very least, tolerable) ❤️ Do you track your food intake? P.S. Semi-pro tip: keep up with the exercise, if you can learn to love it and make it part of your forever lifestyle, your body will thank you for it. It may not help as much in weight loss as food intake does, but it does wonders for your well-being and your "well-looking", LOL. Congrats and keep on going on! -
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: WOW. Definitely a HUGE difference, LOL! You look so great (and happy!) ❤️ P.S. Nice view!

Yesterday Tuesday, Jan 28 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1.25 yr PO Sleeve / 113.8 lbs ---------------------------------------- It's after midnight, and I'm posting yesterdays menu now. We are up to watch more tennis tonite, and I figure if I post my menu now, I won't eat any snacks?? #yeahRight #wishfulThinking. Though I'm not sure I am going to last till the 3am EST Nadal match since I am still running on empty from the night before AND I just downed 2 shots of amaretto... On another note, we successfully gave away most of my bakery booty from the other day to friends and family. And whatever we kept for ourselves is officially no more as we ATE. IT. ALL. See my contribution to its elimination below. HINT: 4pm #yikes. ---------------------------------------- 3:00am - 3.5 oz sirloin steak << I stayed up all night to watch the Australian Open matches and this was my snack, LOL 10:00am - 1 skinny tea latte 1:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + carrots + jalapeno peppers + green onions + 1.5 oz meatball + ½ tsp tomato sauce + 3.5 oz pan fried chicken 4:00pm - 1 oz raspberry cream cheese strudel + 4 mini marzipan cookies + ½ egg tart + ½ chocolate pistachio biscotti + ½ nutella sugar cookie + 1 fl oz whipped cream + 2 black coffees 7:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + ⅓ cup curried chicken salad (pan fried chicken, mayo, jalepeno, celery, red onion) + ⅓ slice provolone + 1 fl oz blue cheese 10:00pm - ½ shrimp ceviche (shrimp, jalepeno, red onion, cilantro, lemon/lime/orange juice) + ½ cup greek yogurt + ½ fl oz pumpkin seeds + 1 oz blueberries 12:00am - 2 shots of amaretto ---------------------------------------- Totals: 1738 cals - 122g Protein - 119g NET carbs - 90g fat

Protein shakes and nausea

...I was lactose intolerant already before surgery, but it seems to have got worse afterwards (and still is). I'm 1 yr 3 months post op. -
Another item from my Shein.com order: Beige crochet bikini (Size Small); $17 CAD (!!) Not sure I would wear this in the water as the top is pretty loose and I'm sure the smallest wave would result in a double nip slip. BUT if I can figure out a way to McGyver the top so that the boob triangles are closer together, maybe I could...

Parallel Update: Ended up using regular flour for the batter, so I decided not to have any. Instead, I added mayo, curry powder, celery & jalepeno to a few pan fried cubes and made myself some curry chicken salad to go on top of my greens. Itch definitely NOT scratched.

Tomorrow will be 6 weeks since I had my trinity of PS procedures, and I'm heading in for a follow up appointment with my surgeon. Took a picture tonite in rare moment with all my garments and sliicone tape off and put this side-by-side comparison together. I'm pretty pleased with the results so far -

LOL yeah it is...i just didn't realize it was you behind the post...thought it was someone else who is doing a bit of maintenance "maintenance" so to speak... ...But anyway, just so you know, I now am defrosting some chicken to make into chicken fingers for dinner tonite, thanks to my visit to the Raising Caines website, lol! Though I haven't decided yet if I'm going to use almond flour or chicharron for the breading. While I prefer the crunch of the chicharron breading, I also really like eating it as is out of the bag and don't want to "waste" it!

DAMN RIGHT, IT'S NOT! (i heart you.)

Ah, I just realized the original post was from you @Cheeseburgh! I thought it was posted by @chayarg..lol. You've been in maintenance for a while now AND are not actively trying to lose weight, right? So yeah, I'd think it's totally doable, right? (Also it's awesome you are still MFP-ing ❤️)
-
Has anyone here had the fast food restaurant, “Raising Caines”? Never heard of it but just looked up thier website. Looks yum...but then agian, anything deep fried looks yum to me! I think I’m about to plan my entire day around 2 chicken fingers and Cole slaw. LOL, I have been known to plan for indulgences myself (dessert, liquor, I'm looking at you). 2 chicken fingers and a coleslaw is 380 cals, so it's doable...from their website: .....Also, I LOVE Gilmore Girls (so does Mr. but he doesn't like to advertise it...shhhhh)

It does sound oddly liberating, though doesn't it? 🤔
-
I skipped puree stage and just continued with full liquids during this time as well (2 extra weeks worth). Not so much because of intolerance, but because the "ewwww" factor. I had purreed some beef, and I was like, um, NO THANKS.

It's not REAL weight gain. It's impossible to gain 4.5 lbs in real fat in one day...you'd have to take in an extra 15,000+ calories to gain 4.5 lbs. Likely just water or poop retention. Try not to let this annoying scale fluctuation bring you down and turn to food...keep doing awesomely, K? ❤️

As requested...(LOL): Went a little nuts at the bakery yesterday and bought a ridiculous amount of treats for no other reason other than seeing your treats and salivating over them, @MarvelGirl25!! Going to stop by BFF's place (AND Mom's place AND in-laws's place) tonite to offload some of this cuz there is no way we would be able to eat all of this deliciousness without passing out in sugar comas. I didn't actually eat ANY of this yesterday for various reasons, but I did have 1/4 of a biscotti, 1 bite of the Kid's cannoli and 1 bite of Mr's egg tart this morning...it's a good thing we're getting rid of most of this later today! #tooYummyToHaveAround This is a pic of what is still left from my bakery shopping spree (and currently sitting on my kitchen counter, calling out my name, lol):
