    Daily Menus for Maintenance

Yesterday Monday, Feb 17 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1.25 yr PO Sleeve / 117.1 lbs ---------------------------------------- I had a serious sugar meltdown yesterday (read: ice cream & cookies). I KNOW a big part of this is because I did not log as I ate yesterday...I stopped in the afternoon. Normally I would have a visual on MFP of how much I have eaten, and, more often than not, I would put that cookie or whatever away once I saw how much I already ate so far. I generally had the attitude of "whatever...I'm probably so far in the hole today, I'll just throw today out the window". Also I had several cookies before noon, and that probably set the tone for the day. Now, I logged everything I ate from memory this morning, and oh man, I really did throw everything out the window. Anyhoo...I'm dedicated to getting back to my anal logging self this morning, Onwards and upwards. ---------------------------------------- 9:00am - skinny tea latte + ¼ chocolate pistachio biscotti + 2 mini amaretti cookies 11:00am - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + carrot + cucumber + 3 oz roast beef + 1 tsp crunchy garlic chili oil 1:00pm - skinny tea latte + 2 mini amaretti cookies 4:00pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + 2 oz roast beef + 3 shrimp balls + 1 tsp crunchy garlic chili oil 6:00pm to 11:30pm - 4 low-carb bagel crackers + 2 tbsp pesto + 1 oz mozzarella salad greens w/ vinaigrette + carrots + 3 shrimp balls + 1 tsp chili oil + ½ fl oz pumpkin seeds 1.5 cups lemon sorbet + 1 fl oz pumpkin seeds ½ cup earl grey gelato + ¼ cup raspberry-lime sorbet + ½ fl oz pumpkin seeds 3.5 oz dried mangoes 1 KFC popcorn chicken nugget 1 cup tamarind broth + 1 cup broccoli + 2.5 oz pork loin ¼ Nestle Vanilla Caramel Drumstick --------------------------------------- Totals: 2961 cals - 96g Protein 305g NET carbs - 99g fat

    Daily Menus for Maintenance

It's definitely fluid. No way you can gain 5lbs or real fat in 2 days. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but: drink more water, it'll help with the fluid retention. ❤️ Let us know now the appt goes!

    The Maintenance Thread

RE: coffee/caffeine Doc/team is fine with me me drinking coffee, though did ask me to refrain for 1 month post op (which I did) Now I drink maybe 1-2 coffees and 1-2 teas a day. I don't drink any pop/soda (diet or not)...with the exception of club soda as a mixer in alcoholic drinks occasionally (though I don't think it has any caffeine in it anyway....?)

    The Maintenance Thread

I do a variation of this type of reminder: I find an old "bigger-me" picture from my archives and then put on something similar in colour or style and make a before and after pic. Always manages to make me go "whoa".

What is a girl to wear?

I brought a robe and PJ pants. They didn't even make it out of my bag (along with other things I thought I needed but didn't). Just ended up wearing 2 hospital gowns: one opening at the back, and another one on top opening at the front (I was only at the hospital for one night). I did however use the crocs I brought so I could do my laps around the hallways. Other things that I brought and actually used: lip balm & biotene spray (for my dry throat). Good luck on your surgery!

  21. Others may also be picking up on the positive changes in you and responding in kind. I know that as the pounds came off, I felt better and better, gained more and more confidence. I stood up a little straighter, took better care of myself. I'm sure that was projected out into the world and people noticed.

Had it not been so cold yesterday I would have worn this. You can't tell in this picture (sorry, bad lighting) but the dress is actually silky, flowy-ish, and clingy-ish in a jewel sapphire blue colour. It looks nicer in person.
