  1. Missed the last 2 days but here we go:

Day 8 - My fitness plan was just walking on the treadmill I have at home and I was walking 50 min a day. I now signed up with BeachBody On Demand and and starting the first workout today, I'll still try to add some 30-min walk every other day though.

Day 9 - How I'm keeping on plan, meal prep is major for me. I haven't done it this week because I worked everyday last week but I have a bunch of healthy stuff I ordered from the Bariatric Pal Store so I'm not making bad choices at all, I will prep this Sunday and already have my meal plan for the week so I'm pretty excited hahaha...going grocery shopping tomorrow.

Day 10 - On plan recipe. My meal plan for next week will include a ricotta bake that is delicious. Recipe is attached...I make it all in one small rectangular pyrex and divide into 7-8 pieces totaling 120-150 calories each and 12-15 grams of protein...I use everything fat free and add vegetables (shredded zucchini, butternut squash) and it quicks it up a notch.

  2. My motivation/inspiration is going to be to look back at all that I’ve accomplished these past 10 weeks: I had surgery, lost 40 lbs, exercising more frequently and always having a positive attitude towards myself.

Also, I feel very inspired and motivated reading your stories and that helps me a lot 😊

  3. Almost 10 weeks post-op and exactly 30 pounds down from surgery day and 40 down from pre-op.

I am really grateful to every single person that was a part of this process and couldn’t be happier with my progress.

I lnow some of us lose faster than others but we all must be very proud of how far we’ve come and how far we’ll get!

    Enjoy your weekend 😊

  4. So I got together with a friend this evening for dinner at Olive Garden and honestly have no idea why 🤷‍♀️

I started with an iced coffee and forgot to tell the waiter no sugar or whole milk and drank the whole thing because it was good and I totally forgot about the no fat and no sugar thing...I ended up packing my dinner to go because I was full just with the coffee and my tummy was acting up...as soon as I got home I had the worst bowel movement ever! I’m in and out of the bathroom since I got home 3 hours ago 😖 don’t know what to do to make this stop.
    Lesson learned...

  5. I have a different point of view about it, had surgery on 10/30 lost 28 lbs since surgery and 38 since preop diet and think it’s the way you look at it: I, for instance, think losing 28lbs in 8 weeks is amazing. I mean, I have never lost this much in less than 2 months!
We tend to anticipate an unbelievably fast weight loss and it’s just not the way it is.
I felt badly about my weight loss when I hit a stall and I decided to make a set of attainable goals for me to reach every month and I’ve been reaching them ever since.
Everyone is different and we all lose at different pace.
We should all be proud of what we’ve accomplished and not let ourselves lose motivation, because we’re going to get there sooner or later.

  6. Hi guys, I am having terrible Constipation issues and was wondering if any of you have tried something that works.
I have tried aloe, Fiber, Miralax and they work until they didn’t.
It’s been 8 days since I’ve been to the bathroom and my belly is very bloated at this point.
I am considering taking a ducolax but am not sure if it’s a good idea as it might make me dehydrated. Any tips are more than welcome 🙏

  7. Hi everybody,

I’m not sure if this is related to the surgery or weather but I have been having extremely dry skin all over my body, my face and tummy are even flaky... I moisturize every day and still the same thing. Could that be some effect from the meds?
I have never had dry skin this bad before.

  8. Just realized that I'm 6 weeks post op today, 21 lbs down since surgery and 31 down pre surgery.

I'm even happier that I'm losing more inches than I can count! I was size 20 and now I'm wearing 16 which are loose already but the 14s don't fit yet.

    Beyond happy with the results.

I brought it up to my doc on my 2nd post op visit because of the holiday season and he cleared me on alcohol in moderation as well as caffeine. I have a few shots worth every other weekend or so, but i did talk to him about it first. My suggestion would be to talk to your doc first. My surgery was on 10/23.

My 2nd appt is this coming Friday and I'll definitely bring it up! I want some wine on Xmas and New Years Eve hahaha

Have you tried Parm Chrisps yet? I get them from Sams Club. They are 100% parm cheese. Nice and crunchy and the serving size is HUGE. Half a serving size satisfies my craving. I did binge on them once and felt so mad at myself until I realized that my “binge” was 130 calories, 0 carbs, & 6 grams of Protein.

I did tried them and really liked them! I just wanted some more variety like the honey mustard and onion snack they have at the BP store and will try them...I get bored of the same Snacks real easy and fast hahaha. Thanks

I've tried tons of stuff from the store. A lot of it is hit or miss. Some stuff I love and other things have been just sitting in my cabinets. What are you looking at specifically?

Just looking for the crunchy salty snacks...there are some chips there that I might give it a try. Any thoughts?

Almost everything I have got from there is Good Good Good. Why enrich Amazon, Wal-Mart.com and the others overstuffed pockets when Alex's Store at Bariatric Pal has good-tasting stuff. My Bari-bud Ellie123 liked the Snacks she purchased THERE!

Thanks. I am look just for the Snacks since the food I make from scratch in batches on Sunday for the whole week. I do try to stay on cottage cheese and such for snacks but miss the crunchy stuff.

Yes I have some of them are good and some aren't the Eat Me Guilt Free brownies are okay I just wish they had at least 1gram of sugar but they are moist. Some of the chips are good some were horrible its just like taste testing. I would advice you only order one of what you want to see if you like it then if so you can order it in a bundle.

Thanks! I'll get like one of each and hope for the best haha...I'm not into sweets but love crunchy salty stuff or sweet and salty will look for that.

  14. Hi everyone, I just weighed in on my 5-week post op and lost 18 lbs from surgery day and 28 lbs from pre op diet. I am beyond happy, I had a long stall and finally lost 4 pounds in 6 days! I started this journey with a BMI of 43 and am now in the 38 range which is huge for me. I know is not a lot but I feel way better than I was before...I was depressed, hiding from my friends, feeling a lot of pain on feet and lower back and now I barely feel any pain at all, plus I now am more confident in going out with friends and family...I have tons of energy and am working out every day for 45-60 min. This surgery really brought me back to life. I am also very grateful for this community :) you guys help me on a daily basis with encouragement and just reminding myself why I am doing this! Thanks and have a wonderful day!

  15. Good morning 🌞

    Finally, after 2 weeks on a stall I’ve lost 2 lbs 🙌
I noticed I was eating too fast and decided to slow down, chewing properly and cut my calories intake by 100. Now I have 600-700 instead of the 700-800 I used to and I these 100 I cut was just carbs (potatoes and other starchy vegetables).
That did the trick. Now I have 2 weeks till my 6-week post-op and hopefully will lose some more by then.

    Have a great day y’all
