    ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

Day 18th - my top weight loss tip... log and weigh everything! I admit I don't hit my protein goals a lot, I forget to take my vitamins a lot, and I don't hit my macro goals a lot. But I do weigh, and measure, and log everything that goes in my mouth. MFP lets you build recipes, choose portion amounts, and calculates everything. So I know it's accurate, and it helps get me to my calorie goal. No lectures please. I know I haven't met my protein goals or taken vitamins in a while, but my labs were perfect at my 3 month check up. My hair is fine and isn't falling out, and my weight loss hasn't stalled. What works for some doesn't work for all, and this works for me. [emoji175] [emoji179] [emoji91] Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

January 17th! So today's meals in photos also coincides with my 3 month surgiversary! My dr said I was ahead of where I should be, but I need to eat more. Since I track everything he wants me to try eating every 2-3 hours. He was happy I'm averaging around 30g of carbs a day. So...for meals in photos, today, I had 1 oz of mixed nuts and an ounce of colby jack cheese for "lunch" at 4 am. Perks of the night shift? I just now ate dinner of homemade sloppy Joe's and rice. I started with 5.7 oz, and had 3.6 left in the bowl by time I was comfortably full. Eating is hard, being motivated to eat is hard, going 14 hours between meals and forgetting to eat is apparently easy lol. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

Well... today is the 16th! So where am I half way through my goals? I needed to go back to look, so I just quoted myself... is that bad? Who cares! Lol. This morning I weighed in at 186.6! I hit my goal of the 180's and surpassed my goal of 5 lbs! I know I set my goal small, but y'all I've had 3 separate stalls that have lasted about 2 weeks each. I was anticipating another stall I guess! Here's to maybe seeing the bottom end of 180 before the end of the month! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

Day 15 - #transformationtuesday Well I posted this last week in another group for October sleevers, but it is the best I have! 8 was at my heaviest at the beach, closely followed by the before in the collage in the dark green. The light green was almost 2 months post op and I was 33 lbs down since surgery. From my highest weight to today, I'm down 58.4 lbs, and 42.8 since surgery. Heck of a transformation Tuesday if I can say so myself! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Day 14 - Biggest Non scale victory this far? Running again. I use to run 5Ks hike multiple times a week, and snowboard and kayak. So to be able to go run, and kayak makes my heart happy and the surgery so worth it! The fact that I'm looking forward to kayaking in Hawaii in March, and spelunking, that I signed up for 5 5ks/fun runs for the summer without fear. Those are the best NSV I could ask for! January 13th - my weekend in pictures... well I don't have any from Saturday, but I went clothes shopping with my mom and sister as we all needed new clothes! Updating the wardrobe after losing 42 pounds was a must! I do have pictures of my Sunday hike/walk I went on with my SO and pup. We followed it up by going bowling and then enjoying sea food! I had a 4 oz shrip cocktail cup... if you think I ate more then half, you're wrong lol. The image is not mine, but looks exactly like what I got (mine was in a double shot glass lol) Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

Day 12 - how I eat now? I eat less then 3.5 oz a meal, no matter what it is or how good it tastes. Not just because I don't want to stretch my tummy, but mostly because I can't. No onions, no gassy greens, no gassy foods in general. No soda, and now that adult advent is over, no alcohol. I can't stomach sugar at all these days. With also being diagnosed with CD, no breads, and my carbs are super low. Just a lot of protein, cheese, meats, and propel. Somedays it's hard and frustrating, especially when a meal is really freaking good, but I just turn it inti multiple meals and have to wait. I love this tool and am grateful for all these changes! Day 10 - Stop, drop, chug! Well, I can't chug because my tiny tummy wont be happy with me if I do... but I'll sip away until I get it down! Not gonna lie, this was an awkward selfie to take. Luckily no one was in my break room so it wasn't too embarrassing lol Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Day 10) on plan recipe! This is probably my all favorite. It's a crustless taco pie! It really hits the spot when I'm craving nachos or tacos. I omit the salsa and green onion since my stomach isn't a fan these days. It makes 8 slices, my portion is 1/2 a slice! Two meals from one slice isn't bad right? So 177 calories for 3.5 oz (because I also weigh everything I eat) can't get more than 3.5 oz in without feeling overly stuffed.. feel free to add protein powder to the liquid mixture if you want/need to up your protein. I did a few times with my unflavored isopure and no one noticed! https://pin.it/njggt7tn3uejtk Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    October 2018 Sleevers

Got a Facebook memory today of me at my highest weight. It just happened to be a year ago today. I can't believe in one year I have lost 50 lbs! Y'all that's the equivalent of my dog! Of course 40 of that has been since surgery but I don't care! That's 50 lbs gone forever! Hopefully before 2020 it'll be 100 lbs! I just wanted to share, thanks for reading [emoji1] Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Day 9! How am I staying on plan? I am logging absolutely everything, from spices to crumbs, that goes in my mouth. I'm weighing myself every day (I know, not the best idea lol) and I'm making sure I'm sticking with my C25K program. Even when it's icky and rainy outside, even when I am getting 4 hours of sleep between 12 hour shifts, even when I don't want to. I'm portioning out everything I cook and using the recipe options on Myfitnesspal to make sure it's all accurate instead of just writing it down and adding it up. It's a good habit to get into, my amazing man and brother are super supportive. I got this! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

Day 8! My fitness plan/ activity is running and rowing! My best friend and I signed up for a few fun runs this summer. A bubble run, a foam glow run, a blacklight run, and a terrain race! So I'm working my C25K program in hopes of keeping up with her! The rowing is on a new machine my SO bought. We're hoping using it will help us for the summer and taking our kayak out. Maybe we will be better at it this year! We even got the pup a life vest so he can join. It's all slow and easy at my turtle pace, but at least I'm moving! Day 7) my motivation/ inspiration, provided by my SO's sister, is a turtle. Those little buggers may be slow, but they keep going. I think a turtle is going to be my mascot for the year! I'm just glad to be out running and working out again, no matter my speed. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

Day 6 and on time!!! Maybe I can change! Lol Week 1 update! Between the 1st and today, I'm down 3.8 lbs! I have been following my C25K program, hiked the 1st of 52 hikes for the year, and hit my goal of exercising 5 days out of the week! I am so close to the 180's! I desperately want to be there by time I have my 3 month follow up on the 17th. I want to have lost 45 lbs, so that's 5.6 lbs to lose in 11 days... I can do it! ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

I'm not so good at doing these on time! Lol 4) Proudest 2018 moment - having VSG surgery. Which also helped diagnose me with Celiac Disease. So now I'm no longer in gut pain and getting healthy! 5) We keep the fridge pretty bare... this is after a shopping trip! It's mostly lunch meat, cheese, pickles, eggs. The freezer has all our meat and our pantry is stocked, so is our spice shelf! I'm all for making home cooked meals, and thanks to Pinterest, I can do it with minimal ingredients. ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

Late is better than never! I took the picture on the 1st so I can compare at the end of the year! 2) My January Goal is to get into the 180's, I'm currently 194.2 so I'm hoping for at least a 5 lbs loss this month. 3) 2019 goals is to hike a new and moderate to hard trail every week, so 52 total. Also to run a 5K. I use to run them before I gained all my weight back, so I want to smash my old times Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    October 2018 Sleevers

Question for everyone- how much can you eat in one setting? I get between 3 and 4 oz depending on the food, and I measure and weigh everything! This is my post run meal / breakfast. It is a mini pickle (.7 oz) a string cheese (1 oz) some peanuts (1 oz) and dinner ham (2.7 oz) so I had 5.4 oz total - I only ate half the ham and half of the peanuts. So I totalled 3.04 oz before I was full. I refuse to push to the point of pain or feeling overly full. Took me 30 min to get down. I can't even get more than 3 oz of chicken soup down. So I'm having to graze and eat 5 to 7 + times a day to meet my caloric needs. Anyone else? Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Sludge hurts like hell. I dealt with it for 3 years before finally with fighting I convinced them to take my gallbladder out. You don't need it and sludge can cause it to become necrotic, like mine did. It will also cause all your other organs to become inflamed and hurt, like your pancreas and liver. Fight to get it removed, I would if I were in your place Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Hi surgery twin! I too have had 2 stalls at this point. I broke each of them by doing different things. My first one I broke by stopping my protein shake drinks. I got my protein in with food or mixing the powder in meat chili or soups. That did wonders. This second time... I upped my calories up to around 1,000. With working out and running, my body needed more. That broke my second stall. By measuring food, I only ever eat 3 -4 oz per meal... if that! Just know stalls happen! You're doing great! It hasn't even been 3 months yet and you're averaging 2lbs a week! You got this, it will come off, your journey is uniquely yours! Just shake some things up a little, relax, and know you're supported! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

How many calories are you eating a day? I just broke a 2 week stall by increasing my calories. I was averaging around 800. But with running and being active, my NUT thought I needed to increase my calories. I did, up to around 1,000, and I'm down 4 lbs. Everyone is different, and soon you'll have it melt off again. Don't give up! You're doing great and it'll happen for you! Just don't stress, that can cause your body to hold on even more! You got this! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

OMG. Guys I finally made an old family favorite that I could eat!!!! It was our goulash! No onions seems to be the trick! The recipe made 10 cups, and I couldn't eat 1/4 of a cup! Best part is, 1/4 cup is only 57 calories! I added Protein Powder to my portion, but didn't add it into the main calories of the meal. I'm so close to getting into the 180's. I don't think I'll get there by the end of the year but who knows! [url=https://s.bariatricpal.com#/uploads/monthly_2018_12/2111102892_15453679348352.jpeg

I know this sounds weird but have you tried on a smaller pair? I was wearing my bigger size clothes and in my head I kept saying they fit... until I put on the next size down and saw/felt the difference. My brain was trying to tell me I was still big, but my body and the mirror showed me I was in fact losing. Good job with your weight loss and shirt size loss! You are rocking it and I'm sure it'll fall off eventually! Keep going, I'm glad you feel great! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

I usually get my K and Na from propel or Gatorade zero - no sugar but electrolytes. Mu Fe is normal, I had medical issues before surgery, so I have elevated RBC, C - reactive protein, and platelet count, but low Na and low K. I by no means have a high sodium diet, my average intake is less than 1,000 and average around 700 with the propel or Gatorade. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
