thin within

I found out yesterday that my loan has been approved. I dont know all the details yet. As far as my payment amount etc. I am excited and pretty sure we will be okay. I am desperate for my surgery. I have had much encouragement from the self pay people My husband is supportive me and is willing even though he like me is a little weary of payment at this time in our life. but I want to extend my life and be heathy. thank you to all who have been praying for me. There is a man outside apraising my house. Trying to get the money for surgery and that means refinancing my home. I am self pay and because i have sucky insurance that has a clause a no weight loss surgery! :thumbup: But I so desperately want it and need the money soon. I have my appointments set for all my consult. They called yesterday and i now have an appointment for my ugi and h pylori test. July 21 and I feel once i have the money my surgery will be set. So need some reassurance and prayers that i will get the money I need and that It will be worth it. Plus right now paying out of my own pocket ouch! So anyway I just am desperate and scared. My family is supportive my mom said she would help if we get in a bind. I am 47 yrs old and dont think that it will come to that but mom is that supportive. My husband is very loving and supportive but nervous and loves me they way I am but understands way I feel and want to help me regardless what we have to do. My dad died young and lost both his legs before he died and dont want this to happen to me. It is my biggest fear. sorry this is long and probally this is in the wrong place. But i know yall will understand. Because thats what freinds are for. Renea

I went to the doctor Friday and I am a excellant candidate for lap band. I went yesterday and I had a body scan. I dont have to do the stress test, sleep test or endo. I have appointments on July 18 for thenutritonist, psychologist and exercise person. So all i need is Barium swallow and H-pylori test. And the surgery date. But.................. need my financing to come through. So wish me luck. I am so close. thanks in advance. Renea :lol:

My appointment to the surgeon was Aug 14th. They called today and want to know if I can come first thing Next Friday. I am so excited feel like I am now going somewhere. Getting nervous about meeting the surgeon But still cant wait.:smile: Renea

Hi I am Renea and have been a LPN for 26 years and work on a med-surg/NICHE unit. I work in a hospital and if I was to leave I wouldnt be hired back because RNs is all they hire now. There are a few of us dying breeds left in the hospital. Where I work the rest have either retired, died or got there RN. I never got mine honestly because many years ago when I got pregant gained weight and didnt have the confidence to go back. But On my floor I have been there so long that people forget or the new nurses don't know and I am treated very respectfully. I have lots of knowledge to share since I am the old one. :thumbup: I am also called mama nay so I am happy in my job. I admire and respect all nurses. Glad to meet everyone. I have one daughter who is 25 and a soldier 3 deployments 2 in Iraq she is home now and works as a EMT and trying to get her paramedic degree. A wonderful hubby who I have been married to 26 years in a few weeks. And a diva cat named angel. I work nights 7p-7a. Renea

:closedeyes:Hi Sarah, I am new and am just getting started. I went to my seminar last night and see my surgeon in August. But I too am a nurse a Lpn for 26 years and work 7p-7a. I have the same thoughts as you. How did you do on liquids and the different stages you as far as food and work. I dont know about you but sometimes it gets so crazy you hardly have time to stop. People do not sleep at night even though it is night. I work on a med surgical floor/NICHE so wondered how you did starting out and progressed. Thanks, I also thought when I was exploring the sites one for nurses but can't find it. I am 46 and excited about getting on with my new begining. Renea

Hi everyone, I am excited. Went to my seminar tonight. I now have an appointment to see the surgeon in August. Yahooo I now feel it is official. I am beginning the start of the rest of my life. I am going next week to my pcp and get my labs and chest xray and ekg. If all goes well the way they talked tonight october or November will be having surgery. Because I am going to be self pay. Hi I am very new and have been reading the forum and wish I already had a band. But here goes......I am pretty sure that I am going to be self pay. I have medcost prefered Ins. A coworker had bypass a few months ago and got it through his other job insurance because our insurance doesnt pay:frown:. So just wondering is it quicker if you are self pay to approved? what kind of things do the psych doc want to know? Anybody here had surgery through New Hope Bariatrics in Charlotte NC? I have watched the video they have sent me and have my seminar on June 2. My coworker had bypass so itwould be more permanent. I am opposite. I know this is a tool and am excited about a new me. Plus I have health issues and my dad at my age had a stroke and few years later had his legs amputated and sad to say he died before he turned 60. I dont want to follow in his path. I want to help mysef. Sure I want to look good who doesnt but I more worried about my health. Thanks so much in advance.

Hi I am new and just starting my journey. I go for my seminar on June 2 and then have to begin the process. I am pretty sure I will have to pay myself. But i am willing to do that if I have too. Have plenty of questions BUT a learning alot going through the diffrent sites and reading the threads. I will be having mine done in Charlotte NC at New HOPE BARRIATRICS, any body had their banding done there. I AM Excited and hopeful.
