I’m sorry he made you feel that way! I know it’s hard, but try not to let it get to you and keep up the great work! As long as your surgeon was happy with your results, I’d focus on that. Everyone’s body is different!

    Back to spin!

I’m 6 weeks post op today. As a gift I treated myself to a spin class. My first one in a long time! I’ll admit I wasn’t sure I’d make it through the 55 minute class but my 247 pound body did! I was the biggest in the room for sure but I didn’t care! I was there for me and only me! I feel fing fantastic!!!! The instructor is one I like a lot. She’s very motivating and pushed us to focus on why we were there! What we wanted and reminded me that nothing changes overnight! I can’t wait to go back Friday! If you’ve never tried a spin class, I encourage you to. You work at your own pace and you feel awesome when you’re done!

I ate a lot of yogurt in the first few weeks. It was high in protein and made me full. I ate the Oikos Triple zero.

    Back to spin!

It hurts my bum too lol! Unfortunately there’s less padding on the spin bikes but I’ve found the more I do it the less it hurts!

    Back to spin!

Not sure what you weigh, but I first got into spin when I was 360lbs. It’s great cardio and great for toning the booty! Spin class is where you ride a stationary bike but it’s made to go fast. They play great music and get you moving! I started at much heavier. Check one out and you may be surprised! I like it because it’s kind on my hips and knees!

    Good luck!!!!
  14. You came to the right place! I understand your concerns but no matter how you lose weight, you may have excess skin. Let me mention I’m 6 weeks post op having the sleeve done. I’ve lost 25 pounds since the surgery and 15 inches on my whole body. The only nausea I had was right after the surgery from the anesthesia. The first few weeks went by fast. I just kept reminding myself it won’t last forever. I was able to eat a little bit of everything on thanksgiving. I don’t feel deprived because I am the one who chose to do this. After years of not succeeding on traditional diets, I decided this was what I wanted to do. I’m 44 and felt like this was the right time. I have an extremely supportive husband and friends who have all been cheering me on along the way. The bottom line is you need to be ready. You and only you can choose this decision for yourself! Good luck to you!
  15. Way to go! You look fantastic!!!!

    5 weeks post op today!

Yum I’ll have to try them! I’m about 40 minutes from mystic!
  22. Had my surgery 5 weeks ago today. Seems like longer! I did have a stall for a week or so but I got on the scale this morning and I’m down 2 more pounds! I’ve been able to tolerate most foods. Sometimes I forget to chew well enough or eat to fast. I’m happy to say that I can drink coffee again. It tasted awful for the first few weeks. I made cauliflower pizza the other night and it was delicious! My family had regular pizza and I ate mine and didn’t feel deprived. They all tried mine and loved it! I see my doctor tomorrow for my follow up. I hope you all have a happy thanksgiving. HW 285 SW 272 CW 250 GW 175

I think one of the biggest differences is how happy you look now! There’s a brightness in your eyes that wasn’t in the other picture! Great job!

I feel like I blew it

Hi betterL8! I can understand your concern! I’m almost 6 weeks out and I was able to eat what everyone else did on thanksgiving. I tried to stay away from the carbs but my doctor was reassuring and said try a little bit of everything. It’s only one day! The weeks leading up to the surgery and several weeks after are the hardest but for me, they went by fast! Now, I’m careful what I eat and having the surgery is my reminder that I don’t need bad food anymore! I hope that helps put your mind at ease a little bit!
