  1. So Ive been kindve stubborn and gently bending over more often than i should and finally this morning it feels like my abdomen muscles have had enough. Im a little worried i pulled something and was wondering if anyone had advice to get through my daily tasks without a bunch of help im pretty much home alone. Also reaching up high is a problem for me because im extremely short..

I had surgery on Monday and all of the sudden broth is repulsive to me as well. I like the SF pop cycles on this stage. My clear liquid stage is pretty strict too.

See i just cant take anymore cold stuff, I've just avoided popsicles lol. Ive eaten room temp Jello to avoid the cold. I think im going to try strained cream of mushroom (which is a recommendation in my nutrition book)

  3. So my specific doctor/nutritionist has told me to be on clear liquid diet (no Protein powders) for a whole 7 days after my surgery. Im on day 5 and slowly the hunger is eating at me. My diet is pretty much a f*ck ton of sugar free crystal light, Jello, and the occasional strained chicken and noodle Soup. (and water) tonight its finally getting to me. Ive experienced mild dumping after the strained chicken and noodle soup, but honestly im willing to risk the dumping for at least a sip of my favorite Atkins Protein Drink. Any tips? (btw i cannot stomach broth it makes me wanna vomit)

Something similar happened to me. I’m on birth control, but during surgery, whatever medication they used interfered with it. I had to sign a paper acknowledging this. Two days post-op, my period came. Then, out of the blue, two weeks later, it was back again. My surgeon told me I couldn’t start taking birth control again until I was 30 days post-op to prevent blood clots. The medication plus the 30-day hiatus messed with my whole system. I’m now 7 months post-op and, unfortunately, my periods are still wonky.

Thats odd, i was ordered to stop taking my Birth Control 2 weeks before surgery when i started my liquid diet. But as we all know every surgeon/doctor/nutritionist is different

  5. I have surgery in 3 days. In short Im having surgery at Bariatricpal MX (Mexico) I didnt have any of the tests and classes anyone else had. Im on my 14 day liquid diet, Im super stressed and stopped smoking cigarettes 6 months ago. But in short i pretty much almost got a divorce Monday evening so Ive smoked like half a pack on Tuesday and now im freaking out. what if i fly all the way to San Diego, get to Tijuana and they blood test me and cant do my surgery because Im a stressed out idiot and smoked.

  6. Thanks I'm trying to study for tests and finals and my head is killing me i just got an abcess removed and had stitches on friday so i cant take blood thinners >.> hoping my headache subsides soon thanks for being honest. I know its going to be bad mentally for me for awhile but it cant be worse than what i already deal with lol.

  7. Okay so i havent had my sleeve yet, but about 2 months ago i had a huge bout with acid reflux and found out i have a huge hietal hernia and 2 rakes in my throat. I was prescribed a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) Since then I have been amazing and this is coming from severe acid reflux for the last 3 years. Also just avoid certain foods and a pillow to help prop you up at night, for the sore throat and swallowing issues you can also ask about Sulfacrate/Carafate it coats your throat and makes it easier to eat and drink. Best of luck :)

  8. Thank you all so much! I am well medicated at the moment just stressed out with school i leave the day after my finals finish. My coping mechanisms that are healthy are pretty much nonexistent. But i'm hoping i will figure it out :) Trying to focus on keeping my GPA whilst in the midst of starting my pre-op diet and making sure all my travel plans are in order is definitely hiking my anxiety up to 11 but i'm really glad i found these forums.
