  1. I havent bought anything from this site yet.. I am contemplating it, but i am trying to get a handle on what i am eating now. But i agree. but maybe those items are for the folks that have had surgery for a year out or so. I was told we can have pasta and rice and bread but after a year.
  2. My plan allows for veggies but my stomach does not accomodate them well. By the time i am done with protein i am no longer hungry. I was told that what i dont eat in 30 min, to stop.. sometimes it takes me 45 just to get the protein in. I am going to eat less ounces of protein so i can get more veggies in.
  3. YAY! I been waiting for this for a while now! Seems like it took forever to arrive. As of today, I have officially LESS than 100 Pounds to goal! My next goal is to be at 100 Lost in total.. I am hoping to be there by end of April! I am super excited!
  4. This past week( mid week) i actually reduced my portions of protein to 2 ounces and was able to get some green beans in.. i am going to do that starting next week full time too to try and get veggies in.. I basically went three months on pure protein..
  5. Go, I go.. But its an act of God to get it to pass... I am beyond frustrated at this point. I am going to try the MIralax daily.. starting today.. HOWEVER i woke up this morning with diarrhea. LOL Now i just dont know if its from the ducolax dosage last night OR the Quest bar i tried for dinner that has 21g protein and 17 fiber LOL... Life!
  6. As odd as it sounds, I woke up with Diarrhea this morning. Now.. I dont know if its because of the ducolax i took last night or the quest protein bar i ate for dinner last night.
  7. The soups look good. I seem to have an issue with solids/liquids at the same time.. they totally make me nauseous. I would have to blend everything.
  8. I am always cold, but i was always cold before surgery so i dont notice a difference.. LOL.. PPL used to say to me.. your the only person that lives in Florida that i know.. that is cold all the time LOL
  9. Good Luck on your Journey! I was self Pay so i did not have to go through all that.
  10. Let me start by saying, that on Monday I plan on calling my surgeon and getting his approval for my thoughts, but i wanted to know what you all thought as well. I am quite frankly tired of my bathroom usage issues, or lack thereof, even following the surgeons direction. I feel like 90% of my bathroom issues is because i am not eating enough to go to the bathroom, meaning.. I am still at 100% protein outside of the carbs in my Protein shakes... I am not getting any thing else in my stomach other than protein. Whether it be tuna, salmon, eggs, protein waffles (made only with protein powder).. I am too full before i finish the protein i dont have room for anything else. I cannot even finish a 2.6 packet of tuna. As for the bathroom, I have tried everything under then sun.. (Except Miralax- I start trying that tomorrow) But it has gotten so bad, that in order for me to go, I have to take something, and even that something, doesnt work anymore..Enough of that!! My thought is.. Maybe I should go back to DRINKING my protein only.. get all my protein from shakes.. and not drink as much water but still get in my 64 ounces.. and leave my 3 meals a day for some sort of veggies/roughage.. I dont know if it will work, but something has to change.. I am still losing consistently so i know my weight loss is fine, but i need to fix this bathroom issue so my body doesnt become dependent on using something to produce a BM.. Thoughts on liquid protein for a while?
  11. I have heard that the pasta and bread swell in the stomach. I would be afraid i would not eat more than a bite or two.. as it is now i can barely get in two ounces of protein.
  12. my feet have gotten smaller, and my face looks like a different person.. my boobs havent moved, but my waist has some.. I am down from a 24/26 to a 16/18
  13. I had the sleeve, but ED is correct, you will feel pressure in your sternum if you eat or drink too fast.. and then you will sit until it goes away.. small slow sips wins the race.. I still catch myself now at 3 months out drinking too fast.. at 3 sips back to back.. i kind hold the liquid in my mouth LOL.. to give it a small rest.
  14. I am sorry to hear that, but at times I wish i had that. I just posted on my own thread.. I am tired of this once a week or 4x a month. I think i recall when i was eating sugar free chocolate from Russell Stovers.. the amount of sugar alcohols used to make me go to the bathroom a lot. I am seriously considering driving an hour to score some chocolate and make it a daily routine.. No worries.. last time i bought and ate it, i was on the Atkins... and it was part of my normal routine.. LOL.. but seriously.. something needs to give!
  15. What do you all use? I am sure there are threads on here and i have read a lot of them, but i am also sure we have tried many things (as I have) and stuff works for a few days and then doesnt work. I have even followed my surgeons direction. and it stops working after a few days. I can no longer go through this weekly ritual as it is becoming very concerning because even with taking stuff, it is an act of congress to still go. The last two weeks i had to do an enema and.. believe it or not.. today it almost didnt work. I thought i was going to break down in tears and then it worked, but i know there is still some there waiting to be released, hopefully by morning. I took a final dose of Ducolax tonight hoping it will do the trick after i cleaned out some this morning. I did buy Miralax today to try next ( starting tomorrow) I have done Colace, smooth move, suppositories (dont work anyore, or fully) , swift Kriss, ducolax, regular coffee, bananas, I am out of options. If Miralax works for a few days and stops.. my surgeon is going to have to prescribe something because going BM 4x a month is not working!
  16. 1 Scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder 1 Egg 1 tsp baking powder 3 tbsp water Mix all ingredients together and cook in a waffle iron!!! Enjoy!
  17. Congratulations and welcome to the Losers Bench!
  18. Thank you for the info. I will definitely look up that oil and see what the benefits are.
  19. plan activities with the girls to keep you busy so you can focus on something other than food. I used to run non stop, i never made time to sit and be idle so i could not have time to think about what i wanted to eat. I also always had liquids with me no matter where i was.
  20. congrats! Good Luck and keep us posted.. Just remember.. Walk Walk Walk!
  21. Speak to the nutritionist and if you are truly concerned maybe seek out a therapist to help you get to the root cause so you can deal with what the triggers are and maybe get to recognize what those triggers are.. Good Luck to you.
  22. Track what you are eating. You are going to have to track after surgery. Sometimes we may not eat a whole lot but foods high in carbs and/or fat. Your daily caloric intake should be below 2000 to start losing. If you can keep your caloric downt o 1500 you will start losing quickly, I would start tracking what you are eating. WW and Low Carb are total opposites. Whole they both work, it has to be one or the other and not both otherwise it isnt going to work. I have done both of these diets prior to surgery.. They both work but you really have to decide if you want to give up anything or just reduce what you eat. Good luck on your journey!
  23. I love going out to eat. It isnt so much about the food as it is about spending time with family and friends and actually slowing down life a little instead of always being on the run.
