So I just got back to work from the weekend to find out my supervisor no longer works here. That sucks because I really liked him and he was good at his job. I can't help but think that he was fired by his new supervisor. No one understand how hard office services has to work. I think I'm going to start looking for another job too. It's just hard cuz I'm in school. I'm feeling kinda discouraged.

I am sorry that you are feeling discouraged, but you truly do not know why your supervisor does not work there. People come and go all the time at jobs, but most of the times it is because it is something that was done against policy, or it could be your supervisor didnt like their new boss and decided to quit. Try not to jump to conclusions and let it upset you. Focus on you and your job so you can succeed and progress into the future.

I am now 2 weeks post op. I am on the liquid diet and am finding myself dying for another flavor other than sweet. The broths are making me feel sick. Any suggestions would be great. My surgery was on the 15th and now it the 25th. I have lost 23 lbs and feel I am on a plateau. Next week I get to start blended food. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you have suggestions please let me know. Also does spicy food irritate the stomach or cause dumping?

I am beyond amazed. At 2.5 months post-op, I am officially more than halfway to goal this morning.
58.4 lbs down, 56.6 lbs to go.
Yay me ☺️

I'm contemplating having the gastric sleeve. Pretty sure I'm going to do it. But I started this process twice before for the full gastric bypass and after I lost about 35 lbs felt I could do it without surgery. That was almost 8 years ago. I NEED to lose weight and have failed to complete the weight loss SO many times in my life. Looking to see what others have gone through and get some more incentive.

I first looked at doing the surgery back in 2004-End of year.. My job asked me to wait till spring 2005 and i did only to find out that effective Jan the insurance no longer covered it. I just left that job a year ago, so i had not thought about it at all till i had a new job and was more financially stable.. that i paid out of pocket for it.. Best decision i have made.. You will know in your heart when it is the right time for you.. it will feel natural and you will not have any worries at all... Good Luck on your decision.

Hang in there, the positive side is you have more time to focus on you and your 2019 goals! You got this girl!

5 days Post op Update:
Well today is 5 days. I feel great! I still have some gas i am dealing with but with each sip comes a burp. Hopefully this part will be done with soon. I started my blood thinners shots this morning as they stopped them day after surgery due to too much drainage. I went back to work yesterday, didnt do much! My boss made me sit in her office all day lol.. but i am back and i am feeling good. I was able to get my liquids in yesterday and had my first BM yesterday, with another following this morning! I think i am doing pretty well for just having surgery. My weight is still up. I had gained almost 14 pounds during surgery due to gas and liquids, and lost 10 of it to date. Have 4 pounds to go before back to surgery date weight!

Thanks Fluffy! It was the only one LOL. I talked to my nutritionist yesterday and i asked about smooth move and she said not to take it because its a dehydrator. She suggested something called Swift Kriss OR something like that i will google it today. She said take maybe a quarter of the tablet and break it apart and not take the whole thing just to get things moving if needed, but at this point she said.. not needed. Oh and for that final sentance! I have a 1.4 pounds to go to be back to surgery weight.

Today was a weighing/measuring day, and I've discovered that I've lost 10 inches in my waist since the beginning of August! This is great news, as I carry most of my weight in my belly, which is no good. I'm glad I am measuring because I can see results even though I'm going through a stall.
-
That is great news! I cannot wait to be smaller in the waist!
