    Anxiety through the roof! Help!

you are very welcome. That is exactly what I did... walked in as if i had an errand to run, and it would be done before you know it. Going in with that kind of mentality really helped in my recovery as well. Also do as much research as you can on the boards.. beforehand. it will help you a great deal on how to handle something that happens, because it will happen LOL.. but if you are aware of how others handled it, you will be prepared for when it happens to you and you will not stress about it.. its a long journey.. a great one and you will get out of it what you put into it. Do not compare your journey with anothers because each person is different. Each follows the program differently, some to a T others not so much and each Dr has a different program, so follow YOURS and do not worry about what others are doing. Each starting weight is different as well, each body composition is different and your DR will prescribe what is BEST FOR YOU!!!! Good Luck! Keep us posted!

Extra meal replacement shake on preop

As previous poster stated, all doctors are different. Mine wanted me to do lower protein shakes (15-20g) so i could have 5 or 6 a day. His only rule was dont go over 120g protein a day on the shakes.

    No Bowel Movement...

Miralax worked for me, but i had gone through different things before i found what worked. Each person is different. You may need to try a few things before your body lets you know what is working. I do suggest keeping some enemas on hand in case of emergency.

    Recovery Time?

i had the sleeve on a Thurs and was back to work by Monday... I do have an office job.. walking around was slow.. but when you sit all day.. at a computer is different than if you have to be up and around.

    HELP 4 week optifast diet

i agree with AJ split the shakes, My dr had me get the slimfast that only has 20g protein he specifically said he didnt care about carbs and sugars before surgery. Being that i had the 20g shakes i could have 6 a day... coupled with water and broths... it seemed to work well I was basically drinking a shake every few hours.
  10. Keep going strong! Good Luck on your journey!

    * WEEKLY CHECK IN DAY *

LOL... I have donated over 500 pieces of clothing last year.. now. i only buy a few things till this stabilizes.. I am still losing 5 pounds a month.. so i probably will go down one more size before my mind is done but will my body stop losing now is the question LOL,, Only time will tell.
  13. you may be walking too much Your body is healing and you are probably not consuming a whole lot of calories right now. That could also cause you to slow down.

    * WEEKLY CHECK IN DAY *

    Burping

that is probably a sign that you are full. I know i get the hiccups when i am full.. if i get a runny nose i ate too much and i need to stay close to the bathroom!

    Moving to another state

Just be careful... where you are moving to and if the insurance covers it in that state. I know there are 12 states where it is mandatory to be covered and others it is not. If you are currently in a state where it is mandatory and the one you are going to is not, your insurance can then deny it. That would totally suck!

    Almost 7 months

Just keep plugging away at it. Before you know it those pounds loss total will creep right up there.. day by day. Just keep focusing on what you are eating and how you are exercising.. the honeymoon is about a year and then you have to work harder for every additional pound. I am 14 months out and now i am losing 5 or less a month.

    3 Month Stall. WTF?!

track your food and change up your exercise. I did not have that long of a stall, but i had stalls for about 3 weeks each month back to back for a bit. Change something up. For me.. I realized how many carbs i was adding to my coffee with creamer and i drink coffee 24/7.. went back to using protein shakes and its helping a great deal. It could be hidden stuff that you may think is not hindering you. Take a closer look and analyze everything till you figure out what the triggere could be.

    so frustrated

Good Luck! I know how you feel. The same thing happened to me in 2005... I finally did it on my own last year.. I hope it didnt change too much. In my case i put it on hold for work purposes and then in 2005 they didnt cover it at all anymore.. I was fuming but tis ok. I am determined and it took a long time but finally got it done and do not regret it at all.

    Dr. Carlson, Augusta GA

Kinda like my Dr in Florida...Does not sugar coat and straight to the point, ,but right on target with everything. I too had no pain after surgery and healed well. I did not take any of the morphine after surgery.

    Happening so fast

    240lbs down and still single

LOL this totally made me chuckle... But i agree with most... get out more. We are so used to being heavy and staying home all the time that now that we are smaller, getting out seems out of the norm. We are not going to meet anybody going to work and going home everyday and no where else.
