    Jealousy?

You keep doing what you are doing. You are both under a year out and from my understanding ppl will continue to lose weight during the 1st year. Its the hard work and determination that will pay off for you down the road and for her it will be a super long struggle. We all have struggles from day to day, but your struggles will be a lot less and you will be a lot more successful in the long run. I am only 3 weeks out and so far so good, tho I need to get my walking in gear. Sometimes I just don't feel like it and I go back to dancing next month. Ballroom dancing. My surgeon said that can serve as my exercise, but I would like to do both lol.

    Post-op Exercise

Per my Surgeon, I can walk for 6 weeks and nothing more than walking. Do you have a treadmill you can use? I have heard others say they use the You Tube videos of Leslie Sansones for the walking. you can try that.

    Highest weight

Congrats! You got this! When I did this for the first time, I was thinking the same thing. The very first weigh in back in 2005 was at weight watchers and my weight at that time was only 3 pounds less than when I started my pre op diet this year. I am super glad to have come as far as I have in this short time. Right now I am nervous about being at 265.. that was the weight I could never get below ( although I did once when I was doing Atkins, I got down to 225).. so I have two more numbers to beat on the scale. The 265 ( am 3 pounds away from this) and the 225 my lowest ever to date!

    Hard time

70 pounds is amazing for 6 months. Remember this is a tool and the results are based on our effort we put into it, not the pouch itself.. But that amount in that short time is amazing.

    Protein Shakes

All those flavors sound amazing. I have a silly question and i know this is for the foreseeable future.. but how long after surgery do we stop drinking protein supplements?? Is it a forever thing?

    Nausea instead of Hunger?

The only experience i have had with nausea was today. I am almost 3 weeks post op and today is day 4 without a BM.. well was day 4 LOL.. But after the restroom break, i was nauseous from going to the bathroom. I thought that was really weird.

    scheduling of surgery

My date was set with the Surgeons office. The call of the time of surgery only happened 24 hours in advance.

    Don't recommend BVSA

I wish you the best of luck, I do know that my surgery call did not come more than 24 hours before the surgery date so is it possible that the person answering the phone was looking at the wrong day? I was told they could not give me a time more than 24 hours in advance due to schedules and emergencies and such. Try to be positive and all. Did you check the insurance portal to make sure it was put in and your insurance approved the surgery and the date and all. Maybe there is something missing?

    Protein Shakes

I have an unflavored one by Genepro but i am new at doing this.. I havent bought any of the flavored powders yet as my doctor recommended the genepro because it can be added to foods without changing flavors

    Surgery today!!

Congratulations! See you on the losers bench!
  19. Just slow it down so you dont feel discomfort. I did that a few times myself and i truly dont think its stretched otherwise we wouldnt feel the discomfort. The discomfort is the liquid in your throat.

    Sleeve Post Op Diet

During the day i am constantly sipping. I have found that helps. You drink more than you realize when you are sipping every few minutes. At one point i was getting my 64 ounces in before the end of my work day.. or at least close to 64 with my dinner protein being the last i needed to get in. Now that i am on puree, it is definitely a lot harder. If i get all my protein in, i dont get all my liquid in. It seems i have to sacrafice one for another. Today is day 4.. So i added protein powder to my food today.. helped a great deal. I have all my protein in for the day and now just the last 30 ounces of liquid before the end of the night. It is going to be trial and error. As of yesterday, couldnt get enough in.. Today all in by 4pm.. Too fast.. Will need to keep revamping so i am not over doing it and going the rest of the night without protein.. One thing is for sure.. with the added protein i can cut the mozz cheese from my egg, not needed. Maybe i will do the protein shake for lunch and then i can have a protein meal and get more fluids in during the day. The kicker is.. you have to wait 30 min before eating to take your last sip, and then 30 min after. So the more food you consume, the longer time frames you go without drinking.. can make it hard to get the liquid in. I am still playing with a schedule and pretty soon i hope to find my groove..

To Break Fast or Not to Break Fast

I am on puree.. I do not eat my breakfast until i finish my cup of decaf with protein as creamer.. then i eat my lunch around 1 or so.. and dinner around 6 or 7.. Things will change when i go back to my ballroom dance classes starting dec 20th. I will have to reschedule when i eat, or my classes LOL
