Twin Peaks Protein Puffs
I think they're so gross. I've tried tons of different brands. Tastes like chewing on a brick of protein powder coated parmesan.

Twin Peaks Protein Puffs
I just ordered the mesquite bbq in these so we'll see. I hate the baked cheese protein chips. Tastes like eating a block of parmesan.

Minimal bowel movements after surgery
Check out my "let's talk poop" thread I just updated on here. 3 months out and still won't go for weeks unless I take an herbal stimulant.

Let's talk poop.
Okay guys - update on this. lol. I am still unable to go to the bathroom. I take Colace 3 times a day. I was also taking Miralax but since the addition of it also didn't help and just upset my stomach the doctor said to just stop. The ONLY THING that makes me go is senna tea. If I don't drink my tea, I will not go... for weeks. Almost 3 weeks is my record, and then when I went it was a small amount. Yes, I've tried suppositories to no effect. When I drink the senna, I get explosive, pure liquid poos. It happens about 3 times and then I'm back to not going. The doctor said to go ahead and drink the tea every 3 days, but it is really difficult to manage at work, as you can imagine. Sometimes it just... comes out. So I do it once a week when I know I can manage the bathroom trips and accidents if there is one. I'm trying to figure out a way to have it twice a week. I was told never to take fiber because I had a hernia and the bulking effect can cause an obstruction where the new stitching is. I am really scared this is my new normal. Am I overreacting? Be honest. lol. I eat all foods now... salads, meats, some fruit..... it's not all purees and dairy anymore, lol. Still no improvement. The nurse said it *should* improve at 6 months post-op. I am 3 months. So maybe I AM overreacting. But it's disturbing to be reliant on this tea, and the effects of the tea itself. And also that even though I eat nothing happens. I DO NOT have gas or cramping or any sensation of constipation ever.

How long did it take you to get your surgeries?
My first appointment was June 4th and I had surgery November 1. I could have had it beginning of October, but I had work obligations. I have Highmark BCBS.

#29 Honestly the only app I frequent is Baritastic. I love that app. My only frustration is that when I scan a food, chances are at least one of the macros are wrong, and they are still missing a lot of items. I am constantly sending in pics of nutrition labels for them to update their database. They should pay me.

I love the BP store so far. And FB is stalking me with "keto" alternatives that work. Ah, FB stalky ads. In my mind.

Some people just like to argue for the sake of arguing. Just answer my question and move on, I mean JEEZUUS. It's a forum not a dog and pony show. Anyways, I got my question answered. Peace out. lmao.

Lawd have mercy, we have another one. *shrug* I am totally tolerant of other people's poor choices. It doesn't affect me at all.

Kitty cats! Pets are the best support.
Good afternoon, my name is Mousecat and I am a cat addict. I live alone and I just have to give a public forum shoutout to my two kitties for being my crutch through all the post-op BS (and life BS in general). I have an (almost) 10 year old boy named Mouse who I rescued from a Baltimore City shelter at 8 weeks. He was very sickly and I nursed him to health. He has been everywhere with me and is my rock. My other boy is Nugget who is a year and a half and I found him in my mom's backyard at 3 weeks old and bottlefed. He had a number of near-death scares and I am embarrassed to say how much $$ I spent keeping him alive. He is my goofy boy. I just don't know what I would do without them. Mouse know when I am sad or sick and will be glued to me the whole time. Nugget is a derp and makes my home joyful. Any special fur kids in your life? I am so grateful for their furry little existence.

❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤
The cup size... SO RELATABLE. I already had a breast reduction in 2017 and I just dropped a cup size so I am like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. lmao. I don't want them any smaller now! I wish we could pick and choose where it came out of. I sit at work pinching my loose bra fabric over my nips like a total freako.

❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤
#27/#28 Overcoming Obstacles/Biggest Struggles (I am SO slacking!) So, my biggest obstacle is eating. Ironic, right? Up until 1/5, it was very painful for me to eat. It really made me detest food because every time I would eat, it would hurt SO BAD, so it turned me off to the idea and has made me feel like food is the enemy. I am looking for a specialty therapist to help me accept food a bit better so I am able to reach my protein goals. I have been turned down by A LOT of therapists I've contacted because I am a bariatric patient and supposed to eat less food and they don't know how to deal with that. It's sort of like being a fat anorexic. LOL. Which isn't a thing in the DSM. I continue to lose weight and I am not malnourished; I hope to nip this in the bud before it becomes a larger problem. The prospect of the pain is terrifying, however. I do have an unhealthy relationship with food, both pre and post-op. It's like I went from overeating/binge eating/food addiction to the opposite end of the spectrum. In my mind, if I eat, I will get fat again. And I can't have that. It's a large mental hurdle and a terrible thing. Very unhealthy. I guess as far as overcoming obstacles, it was dealing with and healing up from the complications. I hydrate so much more now, now that nothing hurts inside. I also felt really awkward eating out at first, but now IDGAF about asking for a box right away or eating a tiny amount. I do need to learn to eat slower around people because I feel bad making them wait, and then I get foamy later. Just a habit I need to get used to. But I am happy I feel much more comfortable eating out now. And I am able to make good choices anywhere. I've also stopped bitching about the rate of weight loss. LOL. I accept it for what it is and I am happy with how things are going. We'z gon' get thurr.

shocking the system
Yeah maybe. I just wanna stick to what my team says. But if someone knew some dirty secret to lose more weight, I want in on it. lollll.
-
shocking the system
I'm sorry but I stand by my statement that it is terrible for someone to go through all of this just to eat garbage again ("if that's what made them big to begin with"). Be it once or every day. And I feel no shame in being judgmental about that. We can agree to disagree. And, yes, to each their own. People can ruin their surgery if they want to. Or take unnecessary risks. If it doesn't affect them, awesome. But if it may, why the heck would you risk that. Baffles the mind.

Real Good Pizza Co
"bagel bites" on a chicken and cheese crust. they also make enchiladas and jalepeno poppers with a chicken outside, stuffed with cheese and jalepeno (and other flavors). bosssss. only sold at Walmart or online.
-
shocking the system
I KNOW I would.. so I personally don't want to risk it. I don't have that trust in myself. Plus, I seem to be very sensitive to many foods.
-
shocking the system
I personally give zero craps if other people wanna eat sweets or whatever, lol. I just wanted to know if there is any such thing as needing to eat something off-plan to benefit the body and if that would somehow boost metabolism?
-
shocking the system
But my entire question was about shocking the system. Not the rightness or wrongness of straying from what your team says is okay.
-
shocking the system
Of course. I don't have a sweet tooth at all. I overindulged in carbs. But if you're not going to try your complete and total all to stick to the plan, what even is the point.
-
shocking the system
Okay, yeah, I am def not straying from the proven path. I just didn't know if this shock your system concept was a thing or not since I had never heard of it being necessary.
-
shocking the system
I think it's terrible because you got fat from eating those foods. Why would you still want them in your life? I certainly don't. I do not want to risk trying a bite, then trying another... then falling back into same patterns. It's a slippery slope for me. To each their own, though... it's our own journey.

I am obscenely dedicated to this plan. I know 100% I will never deviate. I know people say it's not realistic. But I have gone through a lot of psychological issues with my weight and I am hyper-obsessive when it comes to diets and lifestyle changes. But regardless, eating a brownie doesn't seem like a positive thing 3 months out in an effort to shock your system. I think if you're already slipping up, there is an issue. It's just SO soon. Why would you even put something like that in your mouth if you've just gone through this major surgery to lose weight? I don't get it.
