Ophelia Wilde reacted to tmrtyty2018 in Passed the Chic-fil-A test...it was tough
So my husband, who is as slim as they come, asked me nicely if I would mind if he did Chic-Fil-A for lunch while we were running errands. I didn’t want to be a drag so I told him sure. Now that is one of my favs. Their waffle fries and chic-fil-a sauce are AMAZING! So I sat and smiled and fought through all the feels while he and our toddlers ate fries and chicken nuggets and a grilled chicken sandwich while I sipped on my Water. It was probably the toughest moment so far Since the surgery. I have to say that I wasn’t that hungry so the hunger pains were minimal but I really wanted to just lick the salt off those fries. When the torture was over I felt like a new woman. I had conquered one of my previously fav fat girl places and I wasn’t angry. I was more like determined that I would never let food define me again. I thought “hey if I eat here in the future the grilled nuggets are an option”. I actually feel pretty darn good. Just thought I share.

Hi all, i hope you are all doing well!! I’m 11 days post gastric sleeve. Everything was going fine until today when I’ve been struggling with extreme pain around my main incision. My tummy around it seems to be very sensitive to the touch & swollen, although the wound itself looks fine. I’ve reduced my painkillers to half today which I’m thinking might be the problem. I’m wondering is it normal to have such extreme pain 11 days out around the main incision? And whether the painkillers have just been really masking it to now? any hell would be much appreciated! Thanks all, Ophelia.

Hi Russ, I did increase my activity on Saturday. However I’m wondering if I may have pulled an internal stitch as it’s now sore when I eat as well as move which it wasn’t before.
  4. Thanks

Hi all, I became a “sleever” two days ago in Dublin, Ireland. I didn’t stick to the pre-op diet but the surgeon thankfulky wasn’t too concerned and let me go ahead. The operation itself went well but I was in a lot more pain than I expected immediately after it and since - particularly around the wound site which makes it difficult to walk. Luckily I’ve had no nausea and seem to be tolerating foods ok. Yesterday my surgeon had me on a Protein Drinks only diet and today I’m on soft foods including Weetabix, scrambled eggs etc - all going down fine so far with no nausea. The biggest struggle has been getting enough fluids but I don’t seem to be alone in that. The best news has been that in the time since the surgery my blood sugars have already dropped from 12 to 5.9 which is the lowest they’ve been for years. I know I’ve a long way to go but I’m delighted that at the very least I’ve joined the journey with you all!
