Dreaded hair loss - question
I have a lot of fine, long hair. I didn’t think I had hair loss, but my hairdresser noticed and cut it into a bob for awhile. No bald patches or anything anyone else noticed. Good luck!

What Was Your Biggest Challenge
Not murdering all the people who told me how gross I used to look pre WLS is my only regret. ?

Do you see your surgeon annually?
Hi there, I’m coming up on year 3 after gastric sleeve surgery. I’m very healthy and maintaining within 5 lbs. of goal. I see my physician who recommended my surgery annually. My surgeon scheduled me for an annual Zoom call. Any particular reason I need to do it? I think I will ask my physician if she can add this to the package of things she manages for me (which includes bloodwork.) My question is do you still see your surgeon annually?

Post VSG Regrets?
Are you OK? You can probably still get it if you keep feeling that way or get GERD.

Psych Meds after Gastric Bypass
I took Nefazodone, an atypical antidepressant, worked fine. I also took extended release generic Xanax. I had to switch to regular. It was an adjustment but manageable.

Post VSG Regrets?
Three years out, 75 lbs. gone, no regrets at all on my gastric sleeve surgery. I eat lots of fresh fish and fruit and veggies. It freed me from obsessing about food. ✨

3yrs down the track and problems
I know it's hard with COVID but going in for a test sounds like a good idea. Take care of yourself, please.

What do I need to do/buy to prepare?
This advice is perfect! I'm almost 3 years out and the only things I still use are... a scale and vitamins. But a food scale, blender, protein shakes, and lots of bottled water were all good tools along the journey. I'd avoid buying a lot of anything or paying a lot for anything until you know you want it.

How do they pick your goal weight?
I picked a weight that was “healthy” aka not obese, that I had maintained before.

Revision for regain
You might want to ask your surgeon's office as well. They can help advocate for you.

Has anyone regretted getting the surgery?
Sleeved 2018, zero regrets. I can eat everything I want. Just in very small amounts. ?

What is the first thing you eat or drink everyday?
Little glass of tomato juice I take my pills with. Then coffee. Then comes the water.
