Insurance coverage will be based on your BMI and if you have comorbidities like high blood pressure, sleep apnea, or diabetes. Yours is 37.8. Mine was covered with no comorbidities at 40. If you have one, you may be able to get coverage at 35.
I started at 5'6" and 250 lbs. I'm 50, so a lot older than you are. I lost 80 lbs. and have gained 12 back in about 2 years. I had no complications and was happy with the experience overall.
The thing I didn't fully understand is that my appetite would come back and I would be on a serious, calorie counting diet forever to maintain my loss.

Most surgeons won't require you to lose weight, or won't report out your loss, if it puts your BMI too low for insurance. Mine was 40 going in with no comorbidities and that's what was reported. Good luck, it sounds like you are trying a lot of stuff and something is just not working.

I was stable with treated anxiety and depression before and am now, almost 2 years later. The surgery didn't make much of a difference, but my depression pre-exists my gaining a lot of weight. I think it's predominantly chemical/genetic.

I'm just not that interested anymore. If I drink more than one drink I practically get a hangover before I get a buzz.

Too bad. My ex-coworkers didn't know I had surgery, they just thought I dieted and had the decency to be nice about my weight loss to my face. Maybe not telling co-workers should be considered by pre-surgery readers?

I took extended release Xanax before at night and I had to switch to regular because it stopped working. Xanax lasts about 5 hours and now I often wake up around 5 hours after I go to sleep. Sometimes I split the dose between bedtime and when/if I wake up. Over all, it's worked out fine and is a small inconvenience. Whatever you do, I hope you share it with and have a plan with your doctor so you get the support you need.

You've done an amazing job! You've lost over 125 lbs.! Please be happy for your accomplishments and while you work to get where you want to be, don't make less than total perfection the enemy of succeeding, because you ARE succeeding.

I hope you start feeling better soon. You did great work losing so much weight, it's a huge accomplishment.
As for foods to eat while nauseous, can you reach out to your original dietician that you saw before your surgery, if you saw one? Or find one now? It sounds like getting back on some Vitamin and mineral-rich food with Protein that you can tolerate would help.

Well, I’d be interested in the result of the lawsuit since it’s the worker’s word against the owner’s. But their website has been down, so it’s a moot point anyway.

My BMI was 40 and my doctor's office said that they would use that number and I didn't need to try to lose weight before...

I'd follow your plan for now. But, I'm almost two years out and I eat small portions of many of the things on the "bad" list once in a while except for carbonated beverages, which happily, I don't really like.
When I was about to get my surgery I asked my dietician, "So no tortellini again?" And she said it had Protein and a small portion once in a while was OK.

So, the Built Bar site has been down and since I loved them, I have been lurking around waiting for them to reopen. They tasted pretty good and most of them had 110 calories. Turns out Updated Lawsuit: Built Bar Fired Worker Who Raised COVID-19 Concerns.
So forget them. What's a good, low calorie Protein Bar that tastes good?
And yes, I realize these are about as nutritious as candy bars, but for 110 calories, they were working out for me.

I had a very specific list and I found generic equivalents at CVS. With Readypass, their loyalty program, the generics buy one get one are pretty inexpensive.
Morning:
• One A Day Women’s Vitamin
• Vitamin D 2,000
• Vitamin B12 500 mcg
• Vitron C IronNoon
• Viactive CalciumWith Dinner
• Viactive CalciumEvening
• Viactive CalciumI keep track of it all in a free app called Medisafe.

They might have different policies for different member groups. What does your insurance company tell you?

You can do it! I gained 14 lbs, turned things around, and have lost 2 over the past week or so. I lose slowly at under 1500 calories a day.
Breakfast: 1 egg, 2oz lox, 1/2 cup fruit, coffee with a little 1% milk
Lunch: Healthy Choice Powerbowl (low carb) or similar
Dinner: Fish, vegetable, occasionally brown rice or carbanada low carb Pasta
Snacks if I am actually hungry: fat free yogurt, banana, 1/2 cup Julian's low carb granola, unsweetened almond milk, low fat cheese stick, etc.
I take a walk/run with my dogs for about 2 miles a day and do Pilates 2x a week. I'd like to add back weightlifting when it's safe to go back to the gym.
Knocking off the number of snacks seems to have been the main issue for me. I would track and see where the extra calories have snuck in and see what you can live without. Good luck!

For many people, starving (liquid diet for a week) leads to binging. You had your surgery so recently you don't seem to be aware that restrictions go away for many people after a few years out. Please don't give advice that could be harmful.
I'm not sure why you are posting in the veterans room anyway.

OK, I found my people. Good.
I got sleeved 10/18 and reached my goal of 175. I am now in perimenopause. Such fun. Then I decided to try to get to 150. I got down to 161 and COVID hit. I never stopped tracking.
I lost my job. So I was job searching, walking my doggos, doing Pilates for chronic back pain. Without the constant praise and reinforcement (and tight clothes) I wore to work, I started very slowly backsliding. I don't think wearing Pilates pants and sports bras every day helped. I got back up to 175 (14 lb. gain) and got pretty mad at myself. I am not going up a clothing size, I got rid of all my bigger clothes.
Even though I was counting calories, I was just eating too many. I've been trying to remove Snacks and higher calorie stuff.
Now I've lost one whole pound.
I did get a new job I really like so, I'm happy about that, but we won't be back in the office until Q4 or 2021. I just want help staying motivated. Thanks in advance!

I put the shake or almond milk in ice cube trays and freeze it so I can mix it with a banana or berries for an actual semi-milkshake experience.

My Step dad also passed away a few weeks ago.
I just returned to say I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a relative during COVID is a special kind of h3ll. May he rest in Power.

I’m taking private Zoom Pilates classes 2x a week. The expense and having someone waiting for me is a strong incentive.
I take my dogs for daily run/walks. We’ve been going for shorter one because I don’t want them to get heat stroke, but at least we get out daily.
That’s what motivates me. Set appointment times really help me. -

I take meds and Vitamins with the sleeve and I never had problems swallowing them. I take Claritin D 24 and Women's One a Day vitamins, which are both pretty big without issue. I could take one of my medications that's medium large the day after surgery.
