More likely you aren't eating enough and your body thinks you're starving. What are you eating? How much Water are you drinking? Are you constipated? (I know, so nosy.)

I met with my nutritionist today and asked her when I can start having coffee again and she said not until I'm drinking 64 oz a day and then adding 16 additional ounces for every cup of coffee I drink. I can't even make it up to about 50oz of Water a day.... so no more coffee for me for a while
I found sugarfree mints with the caffeine of half a cup of coffee. I can't wake up all the way without at least one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DQRFNRD/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I had single incision vsg surgery as well. I had no gas or heartburn pain at all. I had some pain and stayed 2 nights in the hospital. They had me on a Dilaudid pump which did nothing for me, then switched me to an Oxycodne drip because I was in pain. They sent me home with 20 5 mg pills of Oxycodone which is a tiny bit more Oxycodone than a tic tac and I didn't finish them. I also had a cold so the first week was pretty miserable, no pain after that, just being careful not to injure myself.
Totally worth it and totally forgotten about now!

Closest I have is my Wellbutrin and that's for mild depression. Oh well, if hypertension blows the Top off my head, all they will say is "Poor Frustr8, her thoughts were always a little scattered" or call me an "Airhead" LOL children, this world 🌏 is an Odd Old Place!
Hypertension is high blood pressure. What are your numbers? If you are not satisfied or would just prefer to see a specialist, you can see a specialist for high blood pressure which is usually either a cardiologist or a nephrologist (a kidney specialist). Wellbutrin treats depression and could be contributing to the problem.

FlyAwayFree, I think talking to someone would help. Like us, an OA meeting, a therapist, a dietitian, whoever makes you comfortable. You may stall or even gain, but it really is a marathon, not a sprint. I think you are doing awesome. You've lost 50 lbs!!!! -
I still drink it and I also bought some Soup and pudding from BariatricPal Store. So hopefully everyone is happy. haha

What's your weight loss goals...Height: 5'6"Surgery Date: 10/15/18Highest Weight: 260 (At 260 I lost 80 on phentermine, gained 70 back, then sought out surgery a couple of years later.)Surgery Weight: 244Current Weight: 227Goal Weight Set w/ Dr: 175Stretch Goal Weight: 150I was taking Milk of Magnesia but stopped due to cramps. Now I'm taking generic Colace, which seems quite good. I take it as needed (every time) on my work from home day (Wed) and a weekend day to avoid diarrhea at work.On a couple days when I have had stalls, I've felt like my body has gone into starvation mode and just added a little mashed avocado or nut butter. It makes me feel better and I think it has helped with the stalls.Hrsnjs and Chrissy C reacted to this -

9 hours ago, Kathy10/22 said:Hello All. Just wondering if what I'm currently feeling is normal. 15 days out, and for the past few days everything I eat just makes me feel nauseated. I'm getting in my Protein and fluids (fairly religiously), and as of Wednesday this week I've been adding in more foods and crackers/toast. But, I'm just not excited about food. Something sounds good, but as soon as I eat it I just feel completely turned off and can barely finish anything except fluids. Normal?? Anyone else? Thanks for listening.
Sounds very normal. I am on a blended diet (mush!) for my first month. Also, people have said your tastes can change a lot after surgery. Like I've been enjoying 2 oz. of mashed potatoes because I never allowed myself potatoes on previous diets.

On 11/6/2018 at 5:28 PM, Hrsnjs said:Hey, October peeps! I have an odd question. It's in regard to portion sizes per meal. I'm currently on soft textured foods. The program I'm in states to have three meals per day, 1/4 cup each, and stop eating when you become full. I know tell doing lots of research and watching tons of YouTube videos that one person's sleeve will not necessarily be the same size as the next. My issue is...I can hold much more than 1/4 cup, even just a few weeks out. Like at least 1/2 to 3/4 cup. So here is the question. Do I eat what I can accommodate? Or do I stick to the recommended 1/4 cup per meal for the first 4 months? My information from the surgeon says 1/4 cup will make for less early stretching of the sleeve. I know some people say they can't even eat the whole 1/4 cup. This may resolve as I eat more solid rather than liquid foods like Soups and such. Your all's input is appreciated.

I kind of thought the name of the game was 6 small meals a day. I wouldn't eat more because I'd be afraid of stretching your stomach, but with your doctor's OK (or your own judgment) I would eat the small portions more often.

I technically took no time off. I worked the morning before surgery and the next day both at the hospital and once I got home. I didn't travel for 2 weeks, and then at 3 weeks post op started work travel and have traveled nearly weekly since.
You are one tough cookie.

Universal Standard is an online boutique that lets you exchange some of their clothes if your size changes in a year. I used to buy Nic + Zoe, Eileen Fisher, and similar brands. I'm pretty loyal to the stores and designers that made plus size clothes I like and plan to keep shopping them. Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, and Nordstrom are faves.
But while I'm losing, I'll be finding stuff on eBay and Poshmark. Happily I kept some of my smaller clothes from when I lost 80 lbs. on Phentermine.

I'm in tech sales, generally a desk job. I spent one week off, worked from home for the next week, and was back at my desk for week 3 (last week). I was tired by Friday, but I made it. Now I'm spending the weekend resting.

I had my surgery 10/15 so I will be on soft foods for Thanksgiving. I'm going to my aunt's house and I told her about my surgery because she's nice and non judgemental. I may eat a yogurt, whatever, I don't really care what I eat, I just want to see her.
I'm having a weird experience today. This is the start of my week 4 and I feel very cold and weak. Like maybe I am in ketosis or need more calories? I'm having some Isopure Water now.

I hated quitting coffee. I managed for a few weeks but now that I’m back at work, I was so fuzzy-headed without it. I’ve been taking a sugar free mint with the caffeine of half a cup of coffee against medical advice. I feel so much better!

Omg I freaked out when I started reading all the risks and complications possible.. how did u guys over come this fear.. help I’m having second thought now....😞
I have a law degree and those papers are to protect the hospital and their insurance companies against every possibility that could ever go wrong. For the vast majority of people, things go exactly as planned. The operation is relatively safe, along the lines of having your gallbladder removed. If you feel like the pros, having a tool to lose weight that works well for most people, outweigh the risks, that should make you feel better.
There are risks involved in leaving your house, driving, etc. but no one has you sign a release to do those things. Hope that helps.

That's f*cked up. I would be livid at your doctor's office and your HR person.

Just reporting in. I had my surgery 10/15. My doctor did it through my navel as I requested and I will have no scars or marks (I know they are tiny anyway). I spent 2 nights in the hospital and a very painful first week. The second week I worked from home and resumed some activities like washing my hair and being human. I'm tolerating lots of foods like mushed avocado, mashed potato, hummus, yogurt, and Protein Drinks. And since I know a lot of people wonder about going back to work, 2 weeks later I am at my desk job, tired but doing fine. My only stall far was Constipation related, I think. Considering all we go through to do this, I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I’m very grateful I saved expensive things from when I was smaller like suits, leather jackets, and designer dresses. I don’t think I’ll donate my big clothes... don’t want to jinx anything.

I was going to my aunt's and told her about my surgery, thought everything would be cool. Just found out we are going to my cousin's house with her. I barely know him and his wife and there will be 16 people there. Hope no one notices me pushing food around on my plate and not eating it. Maybe they have a dog?
