  1. I crave cheese. That’s it. List the sweet taste. Which is great. I loved cookies
  2. That was part of my surgical protocol. Not something I did on my own. The surgeons office even gave me the Gatorade. Ask your surgeon or his nurses about it The reason was it helps with post op dehydration. Ask your surgeon
  3. You know you have to take it easy do the taste thing I haven’t eaten many veggies unless they are cooked. Do great with carrots and cooked to death green beans. Potatoes work.
  4. I miss regular food. But I have been doing a taste rule. 3 spoons is a taste after that it’s eating. So I stay at about 3spoons per meal. I don’t want to really eat anymore.
  5. I do drink carnation instant breakfast with a big scoop of protein. I get a lot of protein that way and it’s tasty.
  6. Yes this is it. It’s really good. Do you like it? There is a butternut squash one and roasted peppers tomato. Both are pretty good. Especially since our menu is kind of boring. Always looking for something new. I have had issues with solid foods and seem to revert to soups and smooth food.
  7. You are mine less 2 days. I wish it was quicker. Love that old smaller clothes are new to me and fitting again. Can’t wait to donate them
  8. I was told to avoid them but I was eating some tomato basil soup. Slowly. Had no acid issues.
  9. Every surgeon has their own pre-surgical protocol!
  10. Wow. I was 5 minutes from home. My husband stayed most of the time. Went home for a shower. I was there 3 days. I was lucky.
  11. I know it’s different but it worked. I had all those electrolytes in my system. The only problem was that I held a lot of fluids like 13 lbs of extra weight. It took three weeks to get rid of that
  12. Add me. @brittmarr1. I had surgery on 10/15/19. Thanks
  13. I felt good after surgery. I did a enhanced recovery protocol before I drank 32oz of Gatorade night before surgery and 32 oz a couple hour before surgery. I felt pretty good because of that. You’ll feel better day by day and when the scale moves even better
  14. It will be worth. Remember it hurts to be beautiful! And just think how beautiful you’ll be after this. Maybe I should say beautiful you’ll feel. Everything comes at a price. You’ll make it! Just can’t believe some surgeons send people home when they are not ready!!
  15. Gas free chili? Really. It will come that’s the worst part of real food after you start puréed foods. Take it easy. Everything sounds good but your stomach isn’t the same.
  16. Think about the gas in that chili
  17. I just want to be released so we can leave for a few weeks in Florida. My husband won’t leave the area with having rechecks. It’s not worth leaving and having to return for appointments
  18. It’s a 25 inch ball with a stand to keep it in place and a couple sets of resistance bands in different strengths. I actually don’t go to Walmart. There is one about a mile away and the parking lot is always jammed. I’m a Target girl myself. I just won’t go to the gym. I walk around my house or at Target or our local grocery store at least 5000 stepping every other day. I know 5000 steps isn’t much but it’s far more than I was doing
  19. I bought one of those balance ball things. It’s easy on my back and I can do stuff on it for about 15 minutes. It was only $45. Takes up little space and the grandkids love it and they are all teenagers have to do what I can. I’m not buying another expensive gym membership or a new clothes hanger.
  20. Thanks. I appreciate every tip!!
  21. Where are the October 2018 sleepers out there?
  22. I’m stuck. Not stuffed.
  23. Susunorm I’m 4 months out and stuff at about 45 lbs. I think I need to up my calories. I see my dietician Thursday. I’ll see what she says. I know I should be more active but it is so cold in the Chicago area. That’s my excuse?
