I used to love a glass of wine most nights, im 6 weeks post op & i have had 3 small glasses on seperate occasion & the 3rd time i did not enjoy it, & im not bothered about the stuff now, i will drink something non-alcoholic & non fizzy drink, & thats coming from someone who loved her wine & could easily drink 2-3 bottles a week...

    Need Advice & Inspriation

hi,im sorry your going through this, i cant help much but maybe because of your kidney stones you were tighter?.. & i thought a 14cc band was the largest one they do? how rude of him to say that, i certainly wouldnt want to see him again, my doc is 2 hour car journey away & i wouldnt want to go anywhere else, can you not put up with it until you are at your sweet spot, then maybe you dont have to go regular to them? wish you all the luck

    English lady, banded on Sunday

burping is normal..helps get rid of the gas.. i know they press on your windpipe when they are putting you to sleep & then they put the tube thing in your mouth/throat for surgery.. contact the hospital & put it to them, they wont mind you calling, im sure they might say what i have, but its always to get the expert opinion, good luck, please let us know how you get on well done on your walking, take it slow at first

    Port flipped over?

That is so strange, tell your dr again what is happening, they might say if they can get a fill in then its ok, but its not ok if you are in pain cos of it, i know when i lay in bed at night around my port area my tummy goes tight like if my skin/fat is shrinking, its a bit hard to describe, can be a little uncomfortable but not painful, i turn over & it eases off, i wish you all the luck with yours, maybe someone on here has/is having same experience as you ?

    English lady, banded on Sunday

Hello from one English Lady to another, what you are going through sounds very normal, try & move/walk as much as you can to ease the shoulder pain, its only surgical gas, the quicker you move about the quicker it normally goes, i think a lot of people said the same words as you did (what have i done) like you said its because we are sore & in pain/discomfort.. after a few days you will start to feel more better, trust me when you see the weight coming of you will be so pleased you had it done, which hospital did you go to ? welcome to the forum, you will meet many new friends, & hopefully we can help you with some questions you might have..

    new girl

i think kiz is right, it depends on what foods you are eating, i guess i am very lucky cos ive tried most foods & i struggle sometimes to eat my next meal as i am still full from my last, ive tried chewing less but it doesnt sit comfortable with me, so i guess i must be doing something right for myself with the weight coming off
