  1. Hang in on there, everyone is different, & dont forget your body is still healing, as long as your doing everything your doctor is asking of you then your doing fine, the weight will start to come off, some lose quicker than others & thats fine, just remember once its gone its gone, make sure you are drinking plenty too & keep walking/moving about doing some exercises, remember its a tool & you still need to work hard at it to make it pay off for you.. good luck

when you go on to mushy foods chew between 100-200 times.. this really helps to slow you down & makes you feel fuller for longer, thats what i do, & i havnt yet manage to eat all my required food on the plate..im on the mushy stage for 1 more week then solids.. good luck

2 Days out and in severe pain

I agree with restlessmonkey... try breathing deep breaths it does help & will get the lungs working properly, by doing this it stops any infections & coughing, so you need to open your lungs up as quick as possible & keep moving about, in a couple of days im sure you will feel a difference, If your that frightened call your doctor im sure they will tell you the same, good luck!

    Exercising...but Gaining??

dont forget with all the exercising were now doing some fats are turning into muscle & muscle weighs more, dont be discouraged by this as we need muscle to burn off our fats...as long as your watching what foods you are eating & not having too many caories then give it a little longer & you should start to lose weight again

    banded 2/16...can't eat

mine took about 3 weeks before i could say i am hungry, your not going to feel hungry for a while because your tummy is swallen & recovering from surgery, try sipping tiny bits of your protein drinks, im sure after a few days when the swelling starts to go down you will be able to manage more food...you will probably find this is where you can lose quite a bit of weight too good luck & welcome to the new you

    Funny Cartoon--Goes With the Fill!

    LOL nice one :tongue2:
  23. Hi elizabeth, ty for your nice comment on my blog, I hope you are feeling a little better, stick with it its so worth it & ignore anyone on here telling you its ok to cheat or anything.. its not, thats why weve had the band done... I have followed everything my doc is telling me, it might be 6 weeks before i have my first fill, some have it 2 weeks after the op, but over here you have to be on a liquid diet for 4 weeks (soups & milk) then a soft food diet for 2 weeks then normal foods for 2 weeks then a fill... i am so happy with myself as i never in my wildest dreams thought i would lose as much as i have in just over 6 weeks..I know it will slow down at some stage i will up my fitness & look forward to being slimmer for summer

    Excited

Hubby took me clothes shopping today, same ole 2 shops & wasnt really happy as they didnt have any wow factor clothes in, so hubby said lets try other clothes sops, i kept saying no they wont fit me theyre for slimmer people, So he grabbed my arm & i took some tops of the rails knowing it would be a waste of time, went to the dressing rooms & omg to my amazement they fitted, my legs went to jelly i had a huge smile on my face & i kept looking at the sizes to make sure i wasnt being fooled & i couldnt believe how small they looked compared to my type of clothes i would normally have to buy... I spent about 2 hours in 2 shops trying on clothes, & knowing i can now go into more than 2 shops for clothes & mix with the slimmer people when buying clothes... The store girls were fantastic towards me, i always thougt they didnt like larger women, thats so not true I have gone from a UK size 30 to a UK size 22-20... woooohooooooo
