  1. What’s everyone’s thoughts on olives, mainly green ones? Thy are approved on my plan, but I’m wondering if anyone has noticed a water retention with the sodium?
  2. I am so thankful for finding this community. There are no in person support groups in my area, and I was sleeved in Mexico so my surgeon & nutritional support is online. BUT I have learned so much from this community already, I feel surrounded ??✨
  3. I’m three weeks post op today and can finally say that I’m starting to feel like I have enough energy to get through the day! Let me tell you, there were some days I really wasn’t sure lol once the kiddos are back in school (district is currently on strike) then this mama is going to hit the gym!
  4. Three weeks post op tomorrow and I’m craving cheese like never before! I can have reduced low fat cheese on my plan if I chew it to death, but I’m wondering if I’m the only one who craves weird things this soon after? ???
  5. I know for me that my sleeve is just a part of my strategy for being successful. I’m definitely an emotional eater, and while everyone has their own journey in reaching their weight loss goals, mine includes therapy to deal with the issues of why I over eat in the first place. I wish us all strength & good luck!
  6. My program discouraged use of both straws and carbonated drinks. I gave up my daily La Croix on my pre op diet which was a struggle. But the more research I did I found that carbonated beverages were one of the leading causes of stretching the pouch and thus leading to gaining weight. Which I am doing everything in my power to be successful‼️
  7. Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry! Hang in there and keep your chin up!
  8. So I’m almost three weeks out and I’m wondering what others are eating and how long it’s been for you. Give me something to look forward to peeps! Am: Protein shake - 30g Lunch: protein shake - 30g Dinner: 2 oz chunk chicken, chewed to a pulp Snack: light string cheese All day sucking on ice chips and vitamin water zero. Sassy
  9. Low fat string cheese in bites? I tried tuna but had to mix w avacado (tiny bit) so that it was moist and didn’t stick in my throat. Good luck!
  10. The first couple days post op I woke up and chugged ice cold water, which I’ve done for decades. Oh. My. Gosh. My chest killed! I thought I was having a heart attack! It hurt SO bad! But .... it’s all about finding the new normal.
  11. I’d say talk to your surgeon about if your taking appropriate dose of antacid? I had to up mine about one week out and it made a world of difference! Good luck!
  12. I took almost two weeks off, a week part time, and back to four days a week this next week. I’ve already learned I literally am exhausted at the end of the day, ok maybe by the afternoon ? I also need to drink more and move slower. I thought I’d kill it and be working out by now ? but am learning this is a process and trying to just roll with it.
  13. Stepped back for dinner and had chicken broth and protein shake. Am just going to take it super slow ??
  14. 2.5 weeks out, chicken broth and protein shake
  15. HW 250 SW 238 (8.8.18) CW 221 GW 145 ? Was able to have soft foods today and went to lunch, ate maybe half a bowl of tortilla chicken soup minus everything that is unhealthy so basically no toppings. Came home and immediately clogged the toilet. Literally. Light headed and crawling into bed with ice chips. Chewing might be over rated my new friends
  16. @viking0424 I had my sleeve done 8.8.18 at off and they were great! Good luck!
