Feeling so miserable today. I saw my surgeon yesterday and he was unhappy with my progress. I got sleeved on Oct 31. I have a heart condition - AFib - which I try and manage with Bisoprolol - a beta blocker. I just take them when my heart rate increases to over 140 beats a minute. Side effect is weight gain / slow metabolism... it’s almost impossible to lose weight and recently I gained 2.5lbs because the AFib has been getting more frequent which means more medication to stop it. Not sure what I can do and feeling hopeless right now. My cardiologist said that if the first cardio ablation didn’t work (I had it in June) he might need to do another but I really don’t want another surgery yet - the ablation took a lot out of me and made me so tired for about 8 weeks. And my boss isn’t a very tolerant soul. Just feeling a bit defeated 😕

Hi... lovely to hear from you! I'm really struggling at the moment... weight is stalled - Think because I'm on beta blockers which are notorious for weight gain! And today I decided to eat off piste - completely mental! which has really annoyed me! lol... how are you doing? how did you manage to get through it? I'm really loving this forum! Al ... x

G Sleeve... I’m definitely noticing I’m experiencing less pain and starting to be more mobile... I’m walking for a little longer and just feel more able which, in turn, makes me feel less vulnerable and more confident... and it’s only early days for me so I’m feeling very encouraged! 😊

The old Atkins plan really worked for me! Lost 6.5stone when I focused on it 6 years ago but once I stopped, I regained all the weight! Eating protein and fats was so easy for me but it’s very severe ... I’m such an idiot! 🤯

I’m 4.5 weeks out from a sleeve... I’m 63... I’m still feeling apprehensive that something may go wrong but so far I’ve had no problems! I’m stalled right now for the past week ... this forum has prepared me for stalls so I am relaxed... 😊

I can’t wait to start this plan as soon as I’m over the purée stage which is another week, hopefully! But I shall be watching and reading about your progress with avid interest! 🤗

I loved Atkins! I found it so easy but I think because the old versions of the diet were very rigid and for me very simple which suits me... if I’m given too much choice I just can’t manage it!
