  1. Tomorrow (Dec. 2nd) I will be two months post op and I'm still dealing with exhaustion. I get about 9 hours of sleep every night but still struggle to stay alert during the day. I just feel like I have no energy. Any advice, words of encouragement, stories that will give me hope? Also dealing with some post op depression which I'm sure isnt helping Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

When did you go back to work?

I took 2 weeks off. I found it to be the perfect amount of time. I was doing fine physically after one week but took the other week to adjust to all the changes. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. No reason to dread a colonoscopy. If you can handle VSG surgery, you can definitely handle a colonoscopy. Its quick, simple, and painless. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. This might have to be my next option!
  6. Normal jitters that everyone has before surgery. Things will be fine! There's not going to be food that you "Can never eat again" . Theres going to be things that you probably should refrain from for the first 6-9 months but it will be worth it! Hope your surgery went well!
  7. Checking in! Challenge Starting weight: 200 Current weight lost:: since starting the this challenge 8 pounds, down to 192! Losing or maintaining weight: Losing Fitness/exercise goal: Exercise every other day, been doing cardio and weight training with a personal trainer Total weight loss at the end of challenge: (Post January 1st 2019) Check in: Tell us how you are doing - How is your diet and exercise plan going? Well. I have pretty much stuck within the limits of what I should be eating. I ventured out a couple times (once on Thanksgiving and once on my mom's bday) My restriction is very string though so i could not venture far. I definitely need to pick up my game a bit with going to the gym. I attend all my schedule sessions with my personal trainer but I'd like to be doing more cardio on own on days that I do not see my trainer.
  8. Yes, this sounds normal to be. I has gastric sleeve not bypass but still experience a ton of back pain for a couple weeks following my surgery. I think it had to do with how much I was laying down while in the hospital. I personally didn't experience hunger until about one month post op but form what others have said on this forum, experiencing hunger so early is normal. It all depends on the person.

    The Thrill Is Gone

Used to love going out to eat, now I hate it. Used to look forward to meal times, now I could care less. Used to be self-concision about my body, now I'm getting used to it. A few things that have changed at 2 months post op.
  10. I find the whole experience of going out to eat after having surgery to be the worst! I agree with @notmyname, try drinking a protein shake beforehand! Easy way to enjoy the show without having to worry about the food!
  11. I picked up a case of chocolate premier protein the other day and it tastes totally different from the previous ones I have had. Not bad different, just different. I'm curious if they changed their recipe because of the lawsuit against them? Does anyone have any info? Have you tasted the change or is it just me? 12. Does your Walmart have the isopure powder? That's the only other brand I find halfway decent. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Nope, no history of anything pre op. My first rounds of tests aren't until January. The water definitely may be what's bringing me down. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
