Hey Lisa of course it is "normal" whatever that is but you would be foolish if your mind did not go to the "what if's" everyone had to determine if the risks outweighed the benefits for me yes. I am miserable being overweight! Psyche more than anything! My friends and I have a saying "Once you've been a star it is really hard to not be one" For example if you were never someone in the spot light you wouldn't miss it but if you were then you always want to try to get it back!!!You will be fine you are in all our thoughts and prayers!!

Granny TJ You go girl! You are losing away. Man I swallowed a piece of gum today and am i miserable! I feel it slowly moving down. Word of advice don't chew gum. I have read on some threads that some MD forbid gum mine however has never mentioned yes/no. Learned the hard way! YUK

Terri, Hey! My name is Christine and I am an RN at TGH. I did alot of research and ask alot of nurses who had the band and finally I went with Dr. Grossbard his partner is Dr. DiCicco. They are not on staff at TGH but have surgical privileges there. The offices are in Tampa and Pasco. I went to a educational seminar and listened to Dr. Grossbard talk and it was great an open discussion forum with Q & A. Good Luck I was banded on the 19th

Newbie from Tampa Bay! Got banded on the 19th almost i week out! Yeah! The pain has subsided but in the evening I feel like "whale poop" nauseated/dry heaves. Not eating enough? drinking? Any advice guys?:huh2:

Sorry with regards to what to eat and what constitutes clears. I am a RN and it is still confusing so I can only image how lost you feel.

Hey I am in Tampa Florida and had my surgery done by Dr. Grosssbard at Tampa General didn't you meet with the nutritionist and get a packet and everything prior to surgery?
